this is terrbile! even for a seven year old!!! i mean compared to her other pieces, she is sooooo awesome, but i really dont like this. no hate. im a big fan. its just i didnt like this at all! when i was seven i used to play the melody, and as much of the harmony as could!!!!!!
To all of you people complaining about her it's not just her talent, but the way she plays the violin. There are a lot of other people her age that can play very well but they just don't have the passion that Brianna has when she plays.
@vadoma27 It may be passionate, but she's letting her passion out through the wrong sources. She rocks constantly which is a bad habit. Just because physically she looks passionate, doesn't mean she sounds it. When I watch her, it's a different experience than just listening to her. Not to mention, the obscene amount of post-production can do wonders.
seriously when i was 9 half the kids in my orchestra, including myself, could play better than she can. if she were asian she wouldn't even be considered good.
Besides intonation teaching. Mozart was obviously taught interval ear training at a young age, probably also some harmony recognition. He was known to play pieces backwards as practice. Carry the ear training over to the instrument and get that perfect pitch relating to exact positions on an instrument, so that they literally can picture a pitch position on the instrument, away from the instrument, and you have the makings of a composer.
Evgeny Kissin listened to his sister play and sang it.
Johann Georg Leopold Mozart was a German composer, conductor, teacher, and violinist. Mozart is best known today as the father and teacher of Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart. Those are the influences I'm conveying. Mozart's father was highly skilled, knowledgable and knew the most important steps to help his son learn fast. All prodigies have to be taught by someone. It takes a combination of student talent and teacher talent (at teaching).
The intonation is incredible. She's had a good teacher. Every time I see a child prodigy it makes me think, there must be something special in the way they were influenced or taught...PROPERLY. I think children in general are capable of learning much more and much faster than most of us think. Getting the right influences and having teachers that are experts at the instruments themselves and know how to speed up a child's learning obviously will make a huge difference...Oh...and talent!
@provids- just look at videos of Leila Josefowicz when she was young. Now that's a real prodigy. She didn't need big fancy dresses and huge hair to help her either. she was just GOOD. Guess it takes a musician to hear it.
Brianna definitely has potential...her "handlers" just need to quit forcing it to happen when it's not there.
You are ABSOLUTLY amazing! I can't get over how talented you are. WHAT A GIFT! I love all of your videos and look forward to watching you grow as a musician and performer:)

No offense or anything... but it's kinda annoying that if you watch just one youtube video of a violinist, she pops up. -.-

@radarvan I agree that the dresses are a bit much, but Brianna DOES enjoy violin and is not being forced into it.
