Hi there, I have a few people coming over and I want to show them how dangerous these batteries are and of course everyone wants to see poof/boom, etc. Can I use a 12v 15Amp car charger (lead acid) to make it go BOOM or should I use the car charger on 12v 2 amp trickle? which is better? Thanks.

@RClife24 Some are safer than others, and will only smoke, but all LiPo batteries are dangerous to some extend when it comes to punctures and over charging/discharging...

@S2Bchallenger I do not like frivolous damage either, but in this case, the battery was already worthless - you can see how little energy it released. If it was new, it would burn as if full of gas.

And this exact size and capacity now goes from $17 including S&H!

@S2Bchallenger I'm not sure what you are saying here, the batteries are getting cheaper AND the one in the video was already bad before the experiment, as is the case with many such experiments. Surely, if done with a brand-new battery, it would make a loss of $50.
