You guys have no proof he took anything. He's done 220 in competition for the C&J, and attempted 230. This was at a tested meet (every meet those lifters compete in is tested). He's not medal material or even A-class yet, but he's put up respectable weights despite injuries. Give him a break.
@EndlersaurusRex well he actually didnt directly say it haha. but when people ask him he just makes a clever retort hinting that he does. ive been looking for an example but i couldnt find one on BROZKNOWS so sorry i cant prove it.
@jpthehp Broz is a very sarcastic individual, especially in response to the skeptical or stupid. Comments such as "You caught us, he does have bionic legs" illustrate this. If Pat does take steroids, his coach hasn't implied that yet imo.
@AdmiralSeadog It was in a unsanctioned meet cast along side a sanctioned meet, I believe. I don't know if they tested or not, but he did that in an actual competition. It's in Broz's channel (230 C&J attempt).
Just watched (on Youtube) the 2011 SHW @ Worlds where the Iranians went 1-2, with the first place getting the World Record Snatch. Didn't see an American at all during the event of top 15 placings, 3rd was a Korean dude with another Korean behind him? Regardless, don'tr count on any medals for a long time, these Iranians are very young, one of them the same age as Pat.
@Zlaterrr Yep, has nothing at all to do with Mendez being a mediocre lifter who is on gear during training, he has just been injured for over a year, which was why he bombed out of Group C at the Worlds, attempting a total barely higher than that which Lu Xiaojun won the 77 kg class with and lifts 20% less at any tested competition.
@alexcochranedavis Gear or not (considering he's competed in tested meets with upwards of 230 attempted on C&J), he's not mediocre. What is with all these haters who think he's average just because he's not A-class (hint: world-level). For you dumbasses out there, he's well above the average weight lifter, even with injuries (and "being off his gear"). I don't think he's medal material, but get off your high horses and realize he's not bad.

you did a 207kg snatch before this and in comp you only do 175? (stats from below, not sure if right)
BighitOwnsCoD4 4 months ago
@BighitOwnsCoD4 he did 207 with straps and on gear. In training most athletes exceed their competition weights by as much as 10-15%. Thats normal.

@BighitOwnsCoD4 Hes been injured for a long time, injured himself a short time after the 207 snatch

@system278 bar 20kg + 6 red plates 6*25kg + 2 locks 2*2,5kg = 20 + 150 + 5 = 175KG = 385LBS
