In reality, and according to the bible, Jesus wanted us to love our enemies, and make peace. Most Christians believe whatever their preacher says, without educating themselves. You cannot prove that God is real, nor that evolution is.

When John said that Jesus should rain fire down on the unbelievers, Jesus rebuked him. Yes, Christians are to love gays, adulterers, alcoholics, etc. That does not mean we can sanction sin, but it is up to those who reject God to decide how they want to live. The world is a taste of hell: violence, hypocrisy, greed, etc.

For example, one of his rules for the people of Germany was to attend church. There was actual posters of the "ideal" large family who attended church and saluted him, etc. What does that prove? Well, why would a non-believer encourage religion, more accurately order it to be practised?
