It definitely is true, you need to remove the remaining toner. But, if you would like to buy refill toner (anyone's refill toner, not trying to make a sale) and give it a try for yourself, you will find out and can verify why only the Brother machines need this to be done.

i'm not convinced that you need to remove the old toner? why? the video claims their replacement toner is "100% the same". Sounds like b.s. to me.
