your not doing it right. I have played top gun so many time and not once did i ever miss refueling. It's called circling. Wow you really don't understand top gun like i do dude. when your refueling you really need to look at what it's tell you to do to hook up. I have played the game so much i have no trouble hooking up and refueling.

Very bizarre how not only do you get refueled mid-air (that's not weird, I know it happens), but they somehow reattach missiles to you mid-flight...

If you want to avoid all of the enemies in the second level, just keep climbing (holding the up button) until you reach the maximum height. Whenever you see an enemy, just press the up button, and it will disappear. Repeat this until the end of the level (that is, if you survive the refueling part!) Great video!
