@labroswwe7 Kanji means Chinese letters or characters. The script was invented by the Chinese and adopted by the Japanese around the middle of the 6th century AD. Kanji are ideographs meaning that the whole character conveys a meaning rather than just a sound (as in the case of hiragana and katakana letters). Kanji were originally drawn as pictures from nature but gradually transformed to more generalized representations. Kanji depicts nouns , roots of verbs and adjectives
is it ok if we interchange the position..ashita susuki san no tanaka san ni hon o agemasu...rather than susuki san wa ashita tanaka san ni hon o agemasu...
@iamrochelljoy "Japan Society de aimashou" is very similar to "See you at Japan Society" which the teacher says before. Literally it means "Let's meet at Japan Society". Aimashou is from the verb "au" - to meet
@JapanSocietyNYC domou. I am very interested in learning Japanese, actually i just started doing self study. though, for me to learn better & easier would u recommend attending classes?
@YupTanya Thanks for watching! Hai, you are correct. To be completely grammatically correct you would insert "wa" ---> "watashi wa nihon ga daisuki desu!" in order to say "I love Japan!"
This video helped me understand the 'masu' and 'desu' forms better! I also learned some new vocabulary since my Japanese is just beginner/elementary! Thanks for uploading!!!
Merci c'est methode d'apprentissage est superbe! J'apprend le japonais toute seul avec des bouquins mais avec ce genre de video je trouve ça beaucoup plus attractif.
I have memorized all the katakana and hiragana characters and I can write anything said in this and the previous lessons, but I need to learn some kanji...do you know any source I can learn from? Thank you
Thanks for the comment! Unfortunately we don't have any videos for learning Kanji yet... if you are in NYC then we do offer specific classes just for learning the Kanji at our Language Center. As for other sources, there are numerous books devoted to learning the Kanji, many people use flashcards for memorization and I'm sure there's a lot of online resources for Kanji. Also, simple writing and repetition of the Kanji is a good way of learning.
@AhmadAboulFarag Get this book asap: "Remembering the Kanji", by James Heisig and stick to it, Its introduction is very important to understand this method, period. In resume: It will teach you how to remember them all, an assigned meaning and the way to write them. While most of your classmates will struggle for the next 3 years learning all kanji by the so called "brute force" method, you will have a system to remember them all (yes, all) meaning, and how to write them, in 4 months (slow pace)
@girlypaola Thank you very much, I have taken your advice in account and I have downloaded the "Remembering the kanji" Volume 1, But I have noticed it is not teaching me how to pronounce the letters or even how they sound like. And I need to learn how to read.
@AhmadAboulFarag Standard Kanji by Oreste Vaccari is a good source for the mean Kanji you must learn. Is an old book but I think is not too hard to get one. I got a book but is in spanish and this is my first kanji source. Good luck and maybe one day we could speak and write this lovely language.
@davidamarat Thanks for the tip, I discovered that using " Remembering the Kanji " and Google Translate to get the pronunciation makes it a lot easier. I hope we Could one day.... where are you from?
@davidamarat Well, Japan today is a very good source for development and technology and that is what Egypt needs nowadays, after the mess Mubarak left us in....
@AhmadAboulFarag Unfortunatly we mexicans are waiting for the fall of our idiot politicians... our government is just a failing. Sadly local "mubaraks" are so common in this time, bro. So we must stay mighty and clever.
Thank you very much for these lessons I am learning Japanese for real at last, although I prefer the previous styling with out the background colors, looks much more elegant and less distracting.
Such a teaching proceeding by the expert teacher is helpful for learning Japanese by the foreigners.

@MrDimitri3942 I know right. But it's better than nothing, right?

I've been told that when using "morau" that the ni particle can be interchanged with kara. Is this correct?
TheHuggableAsian 3 months ago
@TheHuggableAsian that is correct
as a matter of fact, in more complex sentences "kara" is sometimes preferred more over "ni" in order to avoid ambiguity
