  • girl, you don't know how much you helped me! I got offered a nice scholarship from SCAD but i was still deciding...but i get a very positive vibe from you and from other sources about SCAD and now, SCAD is really nearing number 1. i love it.

im going to visit in April. So please keep adding videos, you're really helping us highschool seniors who are still deciding!

  • acting. never stops.

  • Hello! I am currently deciding on which college to go to... and I have narrowed it down to my top two. (SCAD and Sweet Briar, in VA.) Have you by any chance seen the equestrian center at SCAD, or heard any pros/cons about it? I am actually visiting next weekend, and I am very excited. I am from New Hampshire. Thank you so much!

  • I'm in my first quarter right now (winter 2012) as a graduate animation student. Everything said on this video is absolutely 100% true. This place rocks! It's hard as hell, but in the best way! The number one thing is you MUST learn how to manage your time. LOTS and LOTS of work!! But the work is everything you came here to learn, so the work is a good thing! I love SCAD too!!

  • Just got accepted to SCAD and going to visit this weekend. I hope the film program is good.

  • Then are'nt those quarters trimesters?

  • Gimma yo digits giiiiirl.

  • @5833622633523273LOVE ... for the list of majors offered at the different campuses. It's really more about what sort of college campus feel you're looking for - big city or smaller town. One is no better than the other as both have the same quality of professors and courses and the same size classes, for the most part. Hope that helps!

  • @5833622633523273LOVE I'm a SCAD Savannah student and Student Ambassador at the school. Both ATL and SAV are amazing campuses, but here are the main differences between the two:

    - ATL is more of a big city feel, SAV is more small-town with a mini downtown on the waterfront.

    - ATL has a MUCH smaller school population. Because of this, the campus buildings and dorms are not spread out like in SAV.

    - ATL has some majors SAV does not host, though SAV does host the most overall. Check SCAD.edu...

  • I got into SCAD and I completed my first quarter! yay!

  • i want to know what is better atlanta or savannah?

  • Definitely looking forward to starting next quarter.. :-)

  • I'm still finishing up my application for SCAD but what I'm really worried about is the cost for school. Should I still finish the application?

  • i really want to go here! i want to work at pixar(: so i would major in computer animation

  • um, i really want to go to scad, but ive been hearing bad and good things aout it. like the comments below, saying its a scam.... idk, what to think of it now. im really confused.... if someone would reply back to me about anything on the topic tht would be amazing.

  • So for like two years now I've been dieing to go to SCAD, but it didn't occur to me to do some research and learn what people think about the place until here recently. I've heard ALOT of negative things from it being a money eater, to lots of snotty kids, to bad professors. But i've also heard quite the opposite on it all... I was wandering if you could give me your opinion?

  • starting at scad in 24 days :)

  • I appreciate this video. It is very imformative!

  • I plan on going here Fall 2012!!!! I hope I get accepted, im going for Film and Television!

  • Scad is a fucking scam. They want your money and that's all. I graduated from scad, I know. Good luck finding a job.

  • @MrAwakeAware I cant agree with you more. I know from experience. Just like grapes of wrath, 1000 jobs and 20000 flyers. all im saying is have a backup plan and don't over estimate yourself.

  • @MrAwakeAware I think it all has to do with how hard you try, luck, who you know, talent and luck when it comes to finding a job. It's not the school. I do agree SCAD loves money, and it is expensive. :) But it's what you get out of it. I enjoy SCAD. Some don't. It's personal taste. :) Good luck on getting a job. :)

  • I am a sophomore in high school, and everything I do is planned around trying to keep my grades up and making sure that by my junior year I am ready to start making my portfolios and applications for SCAD :) I want to go for animation or graphic design, and I was really worried that there might be an overcrowding problem there? Rumors? or truth?

  • @digimonFTW22456 im going to SCAD this fall and i plan to do animation. i also plan on sharing my college life with the world so if you want i can tell you how it is. i plan to start a vlog

  • @Moshaytelles Ohh yes that would be great ^.^

  • @Moshaytelles It'd be cool if you could do a few vlogs giving your opinions. Also, if you could give tips on how to do the portfolio, I'm interested in the animation career too. c:

  • @anatete1 i will try to do one when i get the chance. scad gives you homework. its not a lot of work its just time consuming. i havent started in any major classes yet. im doing my foundation classes which are drawing and design. for my portfolio i tried to show a variety of work such as printmaking, mixed media, and photography. i didnt have any drawings. if i were you, i would also showcase your drawings if you have any

  • I'm going to SCAD Savannah campus in the Fall this year, and I am so excited. I was watching this with m y mom and she seems pretty content as well. owo

  • Hi! I've been deciding which college to go to for a LOONG time and SCAD was at the top of my list, but barely! This video officially decided for me that I'm going(L Thanks!

  • @simmysmiles You're welcome! I'm glad! You'll absolutely love it! :)

  • @thisiswhackokay I can't wait I'm going to be starting there in the Spring of 2012. I'm pursuing a Sequential Art major. SO excited :)

  • I go to SCAD Hong Kong. Love it.

  • Heyy! I just got accepted here and I am SUPER excited! I was also planning on posting videos about my experience there. I just got to start first LOL. Please keep making videos! I know you are probably suuper busy but preeety please? Also, was it hard making friends? and how is the housing/roommate situation?

  • @GlamourCheck93 Congrats! I really wanted to post videos showing the campus but it's a process. They're really picky about filming in the dorms. I need to get permission and stuff. :/ So just be careful with that.

I'm definitely going to make videos about professors I'd recommend for foundation courses and stuff too now that it's summer. It's not too hard to make friends. Everyone is so friendly and open. As for housing. I'll make a video in a week or something. That's a whole other story. :)

  • I'm so excited that I will be attending the Rising Star program here. :)

  • Im starting my freshman year at scad in september, im glad to hear students love it so much!

  • Love you outlook, this is my 3 quarter at scad and still love it as much as my first day. Keep spreading the word of this amazing school!

  • this was insanely helpful, seriously. i got accepted recently and i'm kind of worried, but this answered a lot of my questions and made me feel so much better.

  • Thank you! I'll be attending the spring quarter I am very EXCITED and it's hard to find videos on this school!!! MUCH APPRECIATED!

  • Some one told me that it is three diffrent type of campus and you can switch to any three campus on SCAD area it that true ???? and also the first time you start stayimg their did you have to perform in the lunch room to show your talent ! ?? :)

  • Hey great video! I got into SCAD and I'm most likely going next year. I want to major in animation but also I'm thinking of minoring in film. Good luck on your journey and maybe I'll see ya there!

  • Thanks so much for posting this video! I've already gotten through half of the application process to attend this fall. I just need to do like two more things &send them in. I'm really hoping I get accepted. :)

But I just toured the campus this past Saturday for SCADDAY, and it seems like such a great place. I can't wait to see more of your videos because they are definitely great and informative.

I'm hoping that if I do get accepted that I will major in Illustration & minor in graphic design

  • I am so excited to start this fall! :D

  • Hi! If you don't mind me asking...where are you from? I am looking at attending SCAD Savannah, but I'm so worried I'll get homesick. I'm from PA. If you want to message me on here instead i understand! (:

  • @lesstalkmoremakeupxx I'm originally from Maryland. Born and raised there, but 4 years ago I moved to Costa Rica so I'm definitely further away now.

A lot of people are afraid of being homesick. It's perfectly natural but trust me, one quarter into SCAD and you'll call it your home. I don't know anyone that left for break and didn't have some sort of separation anxiety.

    :)

  • Is this the review for SCAD Savannah, or Atlanta? :)

I have just applied for first step at SCAD Savannah. and very exited and wish to go for Industrial Design and Advertising! The only little thing that is holding me back is tuition costs, but I am hopeful that it may workout somehow.

  • @Arakmatzu It's a review on Savannah.

Trust me, you're not the only person having issues with the tuition. Most of the people here do but that's pretty much any art school.

    :)

  • I am a Sound Designer at SCAD Bada Bing Bada Boom wakka wakka. It's not a matter of if, but when you need a good audio engineer for your Shabang -n- such, feel free to get in touch with me.

And to MartyMcflyfuture - Stay Fly.

  • It wouldn't let me post a facebook link, but me name is Chris Browning. Profile Pic has me chewin on the coolest straw in existence.

  • I drink and i Smoke and on ST PATRICKS DAY we get SHWASTED everybody, come to scad and join us

  • @MartyMcflyfuture

Marty Mcfly speaks the truth! Listen to the don king when it comes to creating debauchery

  • @illadelph70 The Guy Is Basically The Guru Of Guru's

  • I'm also awaiting my decision from SCAD! I'm so looking forward to attending! I'll be a graphic design major! I plan on minoring in something, too, but I'm not sure what, yet.

  • I'm waiting to see if I got accepted!

    It's agonizing!

You made me really want to go now though!

    AHHHH I hope I get in! :]

  • yayy im SO excited to go to SCAD now next Fall :D

  • OMG plz do make some more vids.

  • @unsafeSANWICH Oh, I will be. :)

That's why I made this channel.

I want to post a whole bunch of videos for people interested in SCAD. What the dorms look like, tips, stuff like that.

    Oh, and I'm a film major. :)

  • Wow, I'm a senior in high school and I had looked at SCAD but there's not much on feedback on it.

You made me really want to go now though.

That's so sick about not having class on Fridays! :D
