I applaud The Alaskan Goddess for coming up with the mama grizzly analogy. It is an apt description for tough, independent women who will willingly fight to protect their young. It is an attitude, not a costume, that makes one a mama grizzly.

I'm happy these women volunteered to do this! A lot of American women are upset Palin insists she speaks for all of us, and I'd like to see more of this sort of statement--Sarah Palin doesn't speak for every American woman. She may share views and values with many, but that's still not all.
Personally I thought this was pretty good. The whole "Mama Grizzlies" spiel is so absurd to begin with. And I agree , at this point, she is not running for anything but I'm tired of this silly group speak she, and others, use to ferment dissension. And there are a few out there that like to believe those simple little comic book concepts really mean anything. In the end this is no sillier than what Ms. Palin is putting out there. I have nothing against her but I have a lot against ignorance.
