If you're Syrian then why do you want to identify as Arab? Syrian (Aramaic) civilization is a good deal older. Arabs didn't have anything until the Islamic conquests when they invaded and became exposed to Greek, Persian, and Indian tech.
What do u mean 'Arab marker'? J2 and its subclades are found all over the Near East, but in the Arabian Peninsula proper, J1 and it's subclades are overwhelmingly in the majority of J haplotypes - not coincidentally, J1 moves in a north-south gradient, reaching its peak in Yemen. J2 is very likely to have originated in northern mesopotamia, roughly in the area encompassing northern Iraq, eastern turkey, northwestern Iran, just south of Armenia and the Caucasus; i.e modern Kurdistan.
@egyptianminor it's just that the text in the beginning of the video refers to 'J1' as being 'Arab', but then in the text you state that ' j2 is100% Arab marker', and that's what mys disagreement is about. Peace.
@egyptianminor Plus you show a bunch of people in your video who supposedly are ethnic 'Arabs' , but that doesn't say much about these individuals' Y DNA, besides J, there's also E1b, G-M201 and even Eurasian types (R1b and R1a) in the middle eastern genepool (specially in Iran, Iraq, Lebanon and Syria, but also in Bahrein, Kuwait and UAE).
haplogroup J is also in the Black African lemba tribe in east africa which have a stronger Cohanim gene then the white European claiming Jewish ancestory
Y-DNA haplogroup J evolved in the ancient Near East and was carried into North Africa, Europe, Central Asia, Pakistan and India. J2 lineages originated in the area known as the Fertile Crescent. The main spread of J2 into the Mediterranean area is thought to have coincided with the expansion of agricultural peoples during the Neolithic period. The timing of the demographic events that brought J2 to Central Asia, Pakistan, and India is not yet known.
J is NOT an Arab marker. Arab ethnic identity didnt exist when J came into being. Super fail post.
