Great video--my words exactly or I should say His words but I have been preaching this on youtube & forums for years. It feels real good to hear someone talking the same way as myself--it is rare and far between so I feel good and I feel justified in my labours when my work--His work gets confirmed to me through others.
"And he came into all the country...preaching the baptism of repentance for the remission of sins"“He who believes and is baptized will be saved““Repent and be baptized for the forgiveness of your sins”“We were buried therefore with him by baptism into death,so that as Christ was raised from the dead by the glory of the Father,we too might walk in newness of life.”"...whereunto even baptism doth also now save us...""Repent, and be baptized every one of you...for the remission of sins.." 777denny
Salvation is faith alone in Christ alone. You do not add anything to faith. You simply recognise that Christ died as a substitue for you, that He was judged for your sins on the cross. We do nothing to earn His Grace, His Gift of salvation is open to ALL
Jesus said Go forth and make disciples (more of the same kind that Jesus made) baptizing them in my name and teaching them to obey ALL my commandments. mt 28:13 Go into all the world and preach, he who believes (with a pure heart) and is baptized shall be saved. Mark 16:16 Praise God and let's heed His words not the teaching of men.
cont.....See Acts 10:47-48. See also Acts 2:38, Acts 16:15, Matthew 28:19, Mark 16:16. Obeying God is not a 'work', it's an obligation to all believers. Jesus asked "why call ye me Lord, and do not the things which I say?" Jesus commanded all believers to be baptized. God bless.
You say that water baptism has nothing to do with salvation, but does the Bible say that? Take a look at Acts 10:6. The angel of God told Cornelius that Simon Peter would tell him (Cornelius) 'what thou OUGHTEST to do.' This line of scripture is 'missing' from virtually all modern corrupted versions of the word of God. Oughtest= the Greek word 'dei' (Strong's 1163)=it is a MUST, it is NECESSARY, must needs etc., What is the ONLY thing Peter told Cornelius and his household to do? cont...
