The Columbine and V-tech shooters had absolutely no criminal records. And the majority of criminals don't buy guns from gun stores, which is the only regulate-able place guns come from. No anti-gun laws have been overturned as of yet in the U.S., except for the handgun ban in D.C. that is still pending approval. Any other law either expired and wasn't re-instated, or withdrawn because it had no effect on crime.

Well, it's needed before that as well. The writings of the founding fathers show that they were more toward the viewpoint of citizens defending themselves from criminals, and if necessary, to protect against tyrannical government. The right is necessary, and the right exists.
The problem is people can't differentiate "Cause" and "Symptom". Causes of crime are socio-economic differences, disparity from traditional families, gangs, drugs, etc. 80 million gun owners killed no one yesterday.

Well, since that's not true, get your facts straight. You can buy a shotgun, and you have to sign a paper. And the fact that there are so many deaths is interesting, considering we have a large population, and the majority of lawful gun owners don't kill people.
Go place some restrictions on the black market, that's where the problem is. Leave my guns alone.

Oh wow, so it got overturned?? Holy crap! Well I would like to share a story with you all. Me being from a free state where you can even conceil carry, I am very fortunate to be where I'm at. One day, I was leaving my apartment, my two small children were in the back seat area. As I was leaving 4 men were walking pass the exit. 2 blocked my car while one approached my pov. Fortunatly I saw it coming and had my revolver nearby. All I did was put it on my steering wheel. End of any dispute/tragedy

I like to shoot for fun. Teaches a valuable skill. Because, IMO, if I have to shoot a dog that's trying to maul someone, I want to know that I'm not gonna miss and accidentally kill the person I'm trying to save.
Guns aren't just "tools of violence" like people paint them out to be. Case in point: Lack of shootings at gun shows, NRA conventions, gun shops. Police departments...
More guns doesn't automatically mean more violence. Violent crime rates drop when people are allowed to carry.

Stun guns are inneffective. Do you know how many people have used them in self defense? Puts someone down for a few seconds. Several of those people were then killed by their attackers. Stunguns don't do shit compared to a .45 to the chest.

There are three ways to reading the 2nd ammendment. the most common in the courts is that the 2nd ammendment is a collective right, the 2nd common one is that it is an individual right. And the third is that you have the right to a gun, just no certain types. So there are tons of ways for the judges to make legit. claims.

If the District of Columbia is not protected by the Constitution, then it does not exist. This is a contradiction. The Constitution allowed for the creation of the District of Columbia and so to assume that it is not protected by the Constitution is to assume the the Constitution never allowed for it's creation in the first place. It's a failed logic, unless of course the States would like to take their land back from the USA Govt, including our National Parks.

If I would have been able to carry a handgun myself I would have been able to defend myself. It's not very possible to get a carrying license where I live which is bull.

I live in northern VA and I'm happy the gun ban is being repealed. That judge was pretty stupid. If the 2nd amendment doesn't apply in D.C. that means that the rest of the constitution doesn't exist there either.

Here's a great idea: We have to take drivers tests every couple years and moreso when we get older. Perhaps we should do that to judges in order to ensure they still understand the laws they're supposed to be upholding.
