physx is completly independent from havok, theres a new physx toolbar that pops up similar to reactor toolbar. the only difference is physx is only for simulation/baking and preview is handled via viewport not threw another opengl window. physx calculations are handled by dedicated gpu and is tons of much faster then havoks engine.
you can use the same tools reactor (havok) uses, like rbcollection, wind, and other stuff...
the only thing you cant do with physx is cloth and water physics.
if i go over 2,000 objects, it just freeze o.O
