  • we did it when it was cold so it didn't smell or anything

  • I remember doing this in anatomy in college, it was kind of fun and interesting...that's until it spit at me and it wasn't funny anymore.

  • Are those medium size gloves? If so, you must be a midgit.

  • my eye hurts...

  • omg i gotta do this thursday

  • did that today haha

  • I did this today and it stinks soooo much

  • OMG!! Im Doing This Tomorrow! Dx

  • @HaleyEmoNinjax3 D: eww

  • @IZZYCOLA Ikr!! It Was Fucken Nasty. -.-" And It Smells Like Fucken Shit!!!!!

  • coooooooooooooooooooooooooollllllllllllllllllllllllllllll

  • I am starting 7th grade tomorrow, open house was tonight...my teacher said we have to do this later in the year, and I don't like to touch that crap o3o Is it quick and easy?! It looks disgusting!

  • such nice music for such a gruesome dissection

  • We had to do this in school but we didnt get gloves it sucked ass

  • i did this today <3

  • this would be a lot more fun to do if my school didn't give us rusty ass shards of metal found in the trash for scalpels.

  • fuck me

  • i could be incorrect but i believe the ciliary body (muscle) attaches to the suspensory ligaments which alter the shape of the lens not the iris (which is itself a collection of smooth muscle that regulates the size of the pupil/intake of light). Also, humans have a choroid in the vascular tunic which both carries blood and contains melanocytes (thus it's black color which accounts for our precise, clearer vision but poor night vision b/c of lower light reflection in the eye)

  • i did this in school gotta be one of the coolest things ever

  • Doing this soon. Dissector freak.

  • human eyes have a choroid layer

  • @Rufus1up I believe he meant the tapetum lucidum. Well I hope so. XD

  • human eyes have a choroid layer

  • i did this in 8th grade....slimiest lab ever

  • very informative and i thought it was nice great focus on each portion

  • i can smell it through the screen.

  • @cheeseEmonster bahahahahaha

  • OpTic_Nerve look him up rofl :) hes in optic the mw2 clan if you dont know what optic is

  • that is some cocky ass music

  • I did this on the 23 of september.

  • O BTW when u cut the eye open it has a rubbery texture. Feels like a pice of sheat and smells like 1 2

  • WE cut opne a cow ball in class today no joke. Took out the Cornea, retina, optic nerve, iris, and lens :P

  • EWW!WHAT WAS THAT GUMMY/GOOEY THING THAT JIGGLED OUT?!

  • what song is this...

  • humans have choroid. it's stated in my biology textbook that is approved for GCE examinations.

  • OpTic_Nerve?

  • so the vitreous humor is funny?

  • Ciliary muscle moves the LENS, not the iris

  • Humans dont hace choroid?????? wtf what we dont have is called the tapetum

  • does the cow eye have the same structure as a persons eye

  • we are doing that tomorro in school

  • i like your vidoes they're really cool and help me alot in science!!!!!! thanks!! :) even though i almost threw up a couple a times....

  • this music is perfect

  • I did all this today at school. i found it Very Interesting. Would have been nice if the smell wasn't incredibly disturbing...

  • we did a sheeps eye instead of that and i remember one eye still had the eyelid on top. it was freaky and hilarious especially when the two people had to disect it. lol

  • @stormbreaker91746 hahaha

  • weird choice of music much

  • I have a sheep eye dissection tomorrow....

  • I dared my friend to eat the retina for 10$ bucks. He put it against his tongue, so I gave him 5$ lol

  • I wanna touch it! :D

  • Xbox360 is better than PS3>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>

  • Today we dissected a cows eye in class. We watched this video for demonstation. HI MR LONG!

  • Choroid IS found is humans, the structure it's called Tapitum Lucidum. Google it.

  • I get to do this tomorrow!

  • i did this it was fun

  • hahaha My brother does that he played with the eye fluids XD

  • WHAT IS SO FRIKIN SECIAL BOUT COW EYES? y not a regular eye?

  • @SerenaDavisVIP

Cow's eyes are a good model for a human eye as they are pretty similar. The only major difference (other than size) is the Choroid.

That's why it's so "FRIKIN SECIAL". Plus, people feel as if they can murder cows as they will and poke around at their body parts. Human eyes are not "readily available" like that.

  • It's not really legal to dissect a human eye... Cow eyes are common, or lamb eyes.

  • People won't kill humans for a school dissection BTW Cow eyes are very similar to humans just in a larger scale, so it would be better for a scientist to dissect a cow's eye then a human's because cow eyes are bigger

  • i did this on friday it smells like shit..

  • @alinanazarenko1 u go to dsst

  • @alinanazarenko1 i did this on friday too

  • @alinanazarenko1 im doin this in science too, my science teacher told me it doesnt smell?

  • grossssss

  • WHAT THE Hell is this we aint inside the room of titanic O_O and microsoft sam

  • i'm doing this tommorow in science class and i'm nervouse about it

  • me too, I would be having an eye and brain practicum tomorrow.

  • THIS WAS COOL!!!!!!!!!

  • Milka cow dead:(

  • i doing these tomorow it looks nasty

  • i did that two days ago. it was nasty, but i thought the lens was cool!

  • i did that this morning

  • i had to dissect a cow eye ball in the 5th grade and on wednesday im going to have to dissect a frog eeew sounds disqusting

  • i had to do tis too once, excpet it was with a lamb eye... it was really cool, but my stupjid partner "felt sick" and had to leave xD

  • wuts with the music

  • unfortunately... in high school i only got to disect hearts, kidney and couple other things.. i never did eyes

even though i find disection slightly disturbing.. im a really curious person so i like 2 watch and learn...

so andyzohoury, thanks for this video.

  • nice music HAHAHA

  • we are doing this disection soon in science.

  • uh the choroid in this video is actually the tapetum lucidum, the dark area around the aqua is the choroid

  • lovely music for something truly...i would love to say scientific, but the gel stuff is atrocious!!!

  • LAWL AT THE MUSIC ITS ALL HAPPY

  • the choroid is found in humans, although its black not aqua. the aqua coloring is the tapetum leuceum. it's responsible for the "red eye" photo effect and improves night vision.

  • nice correction. I was thinking the same thing. like why are you dissecting another animals eye when you dont know about your own.

  • i did this dissection and it smelled really really bad.

  • the music is hilarious!

  • yeah...ummmm....i think he got confused between a tapetum and the choroid....lol

  • That music LOL

  • If anyone does this at school, then when you get the iris out, which is the clear, slippery ball part, try bouncing it on the floor or even the desk. It bounces very high!

  • lol k im doing it tommorrow in class...

  • and? lolo

  • Comment removed

  • ill do that

  • Hey, we've done this! It was kind of interesting!

  • I did this at school today. What grade were you when you did dissection?

  • hey does anyone know how to get that eye diagram in the start of the video?

  • Try doing an image search on google for "diagram of the eye". There should be plenty.

  • song title???/

i cant find it on limewire.

    its romance, mozart rightt?

  • looks good enough to EAT! jk lol

  • it is.

  • the highly reflective tissue is not the choroid ... humans do have choroid.. and that highly reflective tissue should be the tapetum o_o!

  • I'm Doing this tommorow two. Isn't it delicious? DX

  • omg im doing it next week too!

  • im gonna do it next week. im a sevie....Dx

  • i have to do that next weeekkkk i am going to have my partner do it...i will just write everything

  • I did this several weeks ago! My second dissection, it was cool! Our science teacher recommended us not to wear gloves to be more eco-friendly, about 70% of the kids did without gloves. Most girls were wearing gloves, im a girl, and i did it without gloves! the aqueos humor felt very cool and slippery.

  • Eww I had to dissect a frog, sheep lungs, cow eye, and cat in high school bio!!!

  • cat!?!

  • I know....So wrong. I almost cried when I saw the dead cats. We think our cat died from getting hit by something because when we peeled back the fur, we saw bruises. :(

  • love the music :P

  • i dissected a cow eye 2day it was sweet

  • oh heck that was fun. except ours were all gooey.. and black stuff that looked like soy sauce poured out :) it smelled like fish. But it was awesome!

  • i did that in 8th grade :))

  • i did it on march 5 2009 in science. dont worry, its not as bad as you think.

when i did it, we worked layer by layer starting with the cornea. then we removed the aqueous humor and cut th eye in half.

  • im bout to puke

  • i am doin it next week

  • ahah i did it in 7th grade

  • I have to do this today and the viedo almost made me sick ...so i will be sick when i see it

  • Awesome! Hey im doing an eye dissection this year and im in 7th grade so do you have any tips?

  • dont puke

  • i did it last week, just don't rupture the lens cos then your stuffed

  • Sweeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeet I just did that in A & P II.

  • omg i am in 7th grade and tomorow at skool i cant wait to do this. a few months ago we disected a sheep heart

  • a w w ww w....all we did was disect a stupid Frog...and some chicken wing....and some beef WTF?!?!?!

  • man I had to do this in 7th grade

  • 7th grade i did that in 6th

  • I went to school in california and the schools are too broke to afford for children to dissect thing....

  • lol im in 7th grade and if i ever half to do this i am saying NO!

  • dissecting a cow eye sounds weird lol

  • ouhhh you guys are right he did not mention the tapetum lucidum!

  • the choroid of the cow's eye has an iridescent reflecting surface called the tapetum lucidum That IS NOT FOUND IN HUMANS!!! he is right!! the tapetum lucidum reflects light within the eye and enables animals to see in low light conditions

  • I agree with BunnieGirl. It is the tapetum lucidum that is the reflective bluish-green layer that is found in animals and NOT humans. The Choroid is the dark brown/black layer that is middle layered to the retina (the inner layer). The sclera is considered the outer most layer.

  • Also, isn't the Cornea on the outter most part and the pupil is what you were calling the Cornea? Just wondering? :3

  • in the human eye its the conjunction but idk about the cows eye

  • This video was helpful. It just kind of scared me that you said the Choroid is not found in humans. XD It is the Tapetum Lucidum that is not, it is the greenish/blueish part that you see in this cow eye. But other than that I hope everything you say is correct ^_^ My exam is tomorrow. Thanks for the extra help!

  • haha we did this the other day

  • If you stop moving the camera around constantly maybe it will have time to focus itself. Some brighter light would help with the focus, too, maybe.

  • Uh ok... considering i recorded this with my cell phone I dont think its too bad. Next time I'll make sure to correct the ambient lighting for you, maybe...

  • was there any need for the lame music xD

  • urgh i hate lookin at eyes eww lol

  • oh my god im doing this tomorrow! i saw the video and i like barfed! LOLZ!

  • eww i did this on thursday. it was sooooo nasty

  • My teacher did this today. She would'nt let us do it.

  • ew i have to do this on friday

  • lucky! ;D

  • i would put a lil ketchup on that scrumptius, juicy, eyeball and eat that thing raw...id lick off all the membranes for breakfast and save its pupil and slimy inner goo for dinner and stuff my face with all them yummy green eye sticky boogers

  • sick.

  • Fuck off. It's honestly delicious, have you even tried it? If you cook it right it is beautiful.

  • well at least im not a hillbilly LOL

  • im disecting a cow eye this year :D

  • this is wrong. the choroid is present in the human, the tapeum is not

  • aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • like ur mothers gowel

  • yummy

  • COOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOL

  • i did this and it was weird our eye was weird we cut into it can to much liquid

  • I did that today in Bio class today

  • Did this today - held it up by optic nerve -my friend didn't like it too much...

    :)

  • this was nothing. I did this a week ago. Don't worry if u are worrying lol.

  • damn i gotta do this tomoz.. shit!!

  • man i am still shivering... though it is kinda cool but creapy.. something saw out of that.

  • did this two days ago!

  • That is very educational, BUT VERY DISCUSTING!Nice footage.....

  • I Have to do this same thing tomorrow and im only on sixth grade

  • I have to do this tomorrow..... And i'm only in the 6th grade... =[

  • eeeew! i have to do this LATER TODAY! at least you guys get to wear gloves...

  • eww.. ii have to do this next term YUCKK

  • i did this in a field trip

  • man, i have to do this tomorrow!!!

  • The commentary is incorrect on several points, for instance, the choroid IS found in the human eye. It is the vascular layer of the eye beneath the retina. Also, the ciliary body IS NOT responsible for moving the iris/pupil. The ciliary body is responsible for changing the shape of the lens, a process called "accommodation" which allows the eye to focus at different distances.

  • thanks dude very helpful

  • wow.

    iam a 7th grader too

    but iam doing a frogg:)

  • Ew. I have to do this Thursday. And I am only in 7th grade!

  • Go back to drink milk kido

  • Go back to school and learn English you illiterate.

  • wat grade do u have to do this?

  • today, I dissected a sheep's eye and then washed the lens, and kept it :D

  • i have to do this tomarrow

  • oh shit this is just SICK AND WRONG!
