  • in Soviet Russia, Nutnfancy watches YOU

  • nice firearms, thanks for sharing!

  • These are akm, 47 fyi.

  • haha and nuttin guess what every ak mag is like that tactical dumbass haha h 0 credibility

  • hahah Arsenal are junk you must like shitty guns wow i need see someone say soo many thing are reliable just becacuse u own them ur a 43 year old kid

  • I love TAPCO 20 rounds mags in my SGL-21

  • Hey guy's/Nutn, should DEFINITELY check out the Midwest Industries AK Picatinny Rail w/Q.D. throw lever for side rail, mount's WAY LOW!!! It look's like you can see your sight's with it/through it on without a scope installed, it mount's ALL THE WAY down on the top of the top cover. Put low ring's or a low sitting A.R.M.S./LaRue scope mount and... that'd be a fine setup, need me two of 'em!!

  • @reeseman67 Also has, I think, about 3-5 extra slot's so you can mount in more spot's, look's cool cause it make's it look almost like a complete flattop....The AK-47A4/AK-74A4! Sturmgewehre has a good review on it.

  • These obama ads are pathetic, Ron Paul 2012

  • I FINALLY picked up my SGL 31 62(Plum,Warsaw) today and some 5.45 ammo at my local shop (SUPPORT LOCAL DEALERS!!), and have been looking online and GEEZ it is CHEAP! Now I have a -74 to go with my -47 (SGL 21 71, NATO stock) FEEL LIKE A KID AT X-MAS RIGHT NOW!, I ALSO found a stash of Plum Izhmash 30-rnd mag's, EXACTLY same as Bulgarian circle w/metal feed lips, locking lugs, bottom, protector strip in front of round tips, same factory Izhmash stamp on every plum mag as on my SGL's/Mosin!

  • cool russian sir blood... epic mix up

  • @86turkishman you can find 5.45 pretty cheap on the Sportsman Guide website.

  • 7.62 is easier to find than 5.45

  • what light mount do you have on that arsenal? I have a quark 123 turbo. what would be a good light mount that is small and light weight

  • Arsenal is Jus a Saiga with Bulgarian furniture gas block and front site post right??

  • your review of these guns led me to buying an arsenal sgl21 for christmas. you have some awesome reviews! keep it up!

  • scope on an ak? You crazy?

  • 21 people dont know what an ak-47 is

  • Dude, love the review! Whats the background music on this one?

  • The reason the 5.45 was called the "poison bullet" was because the Soviets produced the round with a air pocket in the tip, and once the round hit a person, the nose would bend one way or the other and create horrific internal wounds.

  • in soviet russia, gun reviews you.

  • wonderin' about MFS brand 7.62X39 (zinc coated/plated, touted to mimic brass, bought fairly cheap, gonna try it along with the Wolf brand), haven't shot with it yet. ne1 try that yet? feedback pos or negs?

  • @quik876 Ak's are hungary, they'll eat anything. I have tried theses in my saiga ak w/ no problem at all. I really like thier soft point bullet, you should also try tula ammo in hp.

  • There's a new model of SGL 31 and 21 that feature a genuine Russian-made AK-100 series side folding stock, though they're a bit more expensive. The one thing that it's missing is the reinforcement plate under the pistol grip, to protect against accidentally dropping the rifle on its butt with the stock folded.

  • me and my dad just ordered one, might pick it up in a week or so

  • i do not like the 5.45x39.5mm i like the 7.62x39 for the exact reasons as nutn said. It can fly throw a cinder block and kill whatevers on the other side. the 545 will break apart on it, it moves too fucking fast for that.

  • @GrenMoyo good to know

  • @frankgon4 gotta prepare for them reds :p

  • S&W sells a 5.45x39 upper for the AR 15 platform...the forums seem mixed on it i was wondering if u have had any experience ? Ammo is really cheap even the silver bear stuff is greatly priced! Thanks

  • on your mismatched sgl 21, i noticed that little lower hand guard attachment that the flashlight fixes to, I was just curious as to where you got that and how it fixes to the hand guard, I would really like to get a lower hand guard with a rail for a fore grip attachment, but the less installation the better.

  • @LoGAtRUnEaRtH428 I want to know too

  • @LoGAtRUnEaRtH428 It looks like the factory hand guard so I am curious as how it attaches as well. I like the plum furniture but want a vertical grip. Which I thought would mean getting red of the plum furniture.

  • @Williomi i wanna know how he attached that rail also i just bought a plum arsenal sgl21 i would like to put a fore grip on it but i do not want to get rid of the plum.

  • Blah blah blah. I know people that own Arsenal's AK and they say they are crap. I own a WASR-10 and its supposed to be better than Arsenals.

  • @obeyance Let's see your vids with the groups then...

  • @obeyance I also own a wasr... Fun gun but nothing compared to an sgl21

  • I like the SGL-21 with OD green stocks. Cheap, accurate, ultra-dependable assault rifles.

  • @Glasgow1270 the OD stocks are my fave as well, same as my glock =) but i prefer the SGl-31

    74not47

  • Like the paragraph spacing (and the gun too lol, though too bad we are limited to the VZ-58 in Canada). Thanks.

  • does anyone know a good affordable quad rail that would be compliant and fit correctly with the sgl21 model

  • @WithOneInTheChamber Check out the UTG quad rail at cheaper than dirt.com. Good price and good reviews on it.

A friend of mine just put a UTG quad rail on his AR and he loves it. I know PFI Dude here on TNP and i think he uses UTG quads on his Saigas.

  • @Glasgow1270 Yes I just got that same quad rail and it is fantastic. Very easy to install as well. Lifetime warranty not that you will need it with this fine product. Also check into the Tapco Razor muzzle device, I have it on mine and it is very sick and solid.

  • do all ak mag works on all aks? like if i had the sgl21 would a steal ak mag from a gunshow work?

  • @WithOneInTheChamber Yes they will, I own an sgl21 and every mag I've put on it has done fine.

  • @WithOneInTheChamber 74pwns47lol

  • do all ak mag works on all aks? like if i had the slg21 would a steal ak mag from a gunshow work?

  • Does nutn prefer the 74 or 47?

  • @triffen I just kinda think that rifles that are thought to be respectable in a combat sense should be experienced as they were made. Like, I think the quad rails and collapsible stocks have just the slightest bit more complexity over wood, but are acceptable on AR platforms because it's kinda made to be module. Like, the wood on an Ak is just there, stationary, and smooth. I kinda get the whole wood rotting thing, though...

  • Hi thanks for the great video, I just bought a Saiga SGL24 (NJ Legal) it does not cum with a muzzle break but you can have one in NJ just not a flash suppressor. For some reason I can't get the thread protecter off I don't no if it will cum off or if it is threaded at all and will take a muzzle break. Can't find any info on the SGL24 If you have any suggestions or answers I would really appreciate it. Thanks John

  • i like that you guys in the us like our arsenal arms btw i live around 100 miles from the factory ;)

  • @8100rpm I'm jealous of you my son, i'm jealous of you

  • @oiTzWolfzZ

nah dont be our laws dont allow us to own automatic wepons there is 5 to 10 years jail if they catch you with automatic weapons :| and 5 to 10 years if they catch you with a chambered bulled in the hand gun so actually it SUX here....tbh 80 to 90% of the production of arsenal is for export so you have the fun :)

  • @8100rpm wow thats dumb man, cant even enjoy your own product at home

  • Does nutn not like wood stocks on an Ak at all, or what?

  • @MrBigBearBrown Function over form bro :P

  • Thanks for the info... Just got one SGL21 after watchimg you vids, they really helped... Keep them coming! Fly Safe bro!

  • Thanks for the vid, I have been looking for a good AK but I didn't know what would be the best variant. Now I know, thank you good Sir

  • if zombiez attacked 2marrow, which AK (if you had to grab an AK) would u go with? sgl21 or 31?

  • @ELITEWAFFLES9 i prefer the 30 cal. stoping power.. but i have allot of practice with this round. [ its a bit harder 2 stay on target for multiple hits, which usually arent needed anyway ] if yur not that experenced i would say go wit the 5.45 as it has much less recoil and will thus be more inherently accurate and quicker 2 fire on multible targets. after all zombies tend 2 travel in packs and u have 2 hit em in the head 4 an effective drop anyway right?

  • @ELITEWAFFLES9

I would go with the SGL31 because you can carry more ammo hence more headshots and either round is deadly when fired at the head. :D

  • do you prefer 7.62x39 or 5.45x39?

  • SGL 31 only takes corrosive ammo? ... If it does, what is the process of cleaning this type of ammo. Thanks in advance. I don't know much about the topic of corrosive ammo and any help would be great! Maybe a video on this subject Nutn ?

  • @TheHeartOfTheLion .....no sir, there is non corrosive 5.45 ammo avalabale [try J & G sales on their site] but the majority of the ammo [ read cheapest ] is corrosive russian surplus. this is not as bad as some make out though, u just have 2 clean the rifle SOON after fireing it [ withen a few hours ] or it will rust. clean the inside of the bore, and the gas tube as well as the bolt face with hot soapy water, dry said parts WELL then give a light coating of oil. [ i recommend hoppes # 9 oil ]

  • @TheHeartOfTheLion oh shit! wile cleaning yur rifle after shooting corrosive ammo u also have 2 clean the gas piston...at least on its face. cleaning protocol is the same as the other parts. dont wanna put u on the dummy! hope my advice helps

  • @longrangeskeeter it really does help! ... I'm a newbie and I'm willing to learn from anyone willing to teach. Thanks alot.

  • @TheHeartOfTheLion yur welcome. if u have any more questions lemme know!

  • Comment removed

  • @kcchiefs00

Would you mind telling us, specifically, how it was defective?

  • i think I'll get the AK74 in Kermit the Frog green, I think it looks good.

  • Anybody have range time with the 5.56 SLR ?? ... I'm thinking about going with this model so I can use the same ammo for AR also.

  • @TheHeartOfTheLion The 556 chambered AKs are nice shooters but they are very picky about the magazines, they tend to not be as reliable as the other guns(7.62x39 and 5.45). I would get the AK74 if I were you.

  • @semiautoriflelover Thanks for the great comment. I greatly appreciate you helping me and responding. Thanks a milliion. I'm still looking, searching, reading up on AK's,.... this has helped alot.

  • I see them for $900 - a bit too much.

I am off to look at AK's now.

  • killer review man!

  • @SpiritofAdventure22 - K, Sweet, I need to save some money and get one then haha.

  • hows the tirgger slap on the stock trigger for the SGL21?

  • @Brownnz92TNPfan it as smooth as an ar15 on my sgl21

  • 0:30 Victorinox Cadet in the background. :)

  • Do you know if needs to be broken in??? Someone on youtube suggested that. I was curious if it needs to be. I personally thought it shouldn't need to be.

  • Tapco is garbage. Test out the VLTOR buffer tube for AK's and get a Mil spec Magpul CTR stock

  • 7.62 or 5.45?

  • @icemaniaxl

    SGL21 series is 7.62

    SGL31 series is 5.45

  • and one more thing... I run side k-var but it seems to give me less eye relief than i want and* it sometimes grabs on gear during transitions over shoulder. Therefore I recommend people to look at the scout Ultimak rail with a micro Dot. I think NTNFANCY did review on tr-25 and thats good to go, just mount it closer to rear sight so the heat won't be an issue from the gas block. excellent reviews, i just wish you didn't use tapco. Tapco and blackhawk is tactical K-mart stuff.

  • tapco stuff for AK same as UTG is trash. those who like the saw grip have not run good grips such as Ergo or Us palm. I know its personal preference but in no way shape or form i want to buy something off the shelf and have to modify just to use it. Hence Tapco AK mags. trash. and they don't fit well in pouches due to their shape on base. If you think that tapco trash stock is good you should stop getting high. Quality is stock bulg. folder or ACE at verey least with right solid swivels.

  • What kind of bullets would you use that would be non corrosive? Will they have the same results as the Wolfs?

Another option, wondering if it would be fesible, chrome plating parts after purchase?

  • Thank you for taking the time/money to do these reviews!!!! good editing too!

  • Hey NF, I really dig your reviews and I like the job on this video series! On a side note, what is the song in this video?

  • @farrellsm77

Appears to be a Remix of some sort of 'Making me nervous' by brad sucks.

  • I never been a fan of Ak's But I have heard the Arsenals are made well! If I were to gat one it would be a Aresenal

  • I hate the fact the 5.45 ammo cost has literally doubled in the last year, its bullshit.

  • Lover the bumper music! I was thinking Mini-14, now you got me thinking SGL's.

  • Just got an arsenal arms ak 74 . got a case of the surplus ammo. Am assuming it's mildly corrosive. Do you have any thoughts on shooting this ammo in the arsenal arms guns? your input would be appreciated.

  • @wishse clean within an hour after shooting. You have to clean more than the barrel too, you'll want to disassemble the gas system well enough to clean it thoroughly as the gas system isn't chrome lined. The barrel is chrome lined and easier to clean, but that doesn't mean you can neglect it either. Its better to be safe than sorry.

  • I really enjoyed this review. His philosophy in evaluating firearms is freaking on-point.

  • nuntan your the man dude i love your reviews i agree and think a vew things you have your side personal preferance but i love getting someone who knows what there talking about mileage.

  • ARSENAL SGL21/SGL31

    are converted SAIGAs

    saiga 5.45 5.56 and 7.62x39 run about 350$

Romanian AKs have the worst fit finish but are cheap i have a SAR1 with an angled gas tube that works fine

  • Got the SGL21 last year during their sale for $499. Great price! Thanks for the review. I was not happy with my warsaw stock and will try the T6. I also ordered the upper lower aluminum handle w rail from kvar. Hopefully it won't cause the issues you had with the m1.

  • I'm a left handed shooter and I've allways been afraid of using an AK. Should I be worried about getting hit in the face with spent brass? Love your videos keep up the good work!

  • @TheloniouseWilse

I'm a lefty too. Don't worry. The AK is actually really easy for lefty to use and is pretty lefty friendly. You'll have an easier time operating the action while keeping a finger near the trigger than right handed users.

  • @hughpham Yay a fellow lefty! And thank you for the info.

  • Will you please test that Tapco stock to see if it is junk or will hold up?Thinks

  • @killergames187

I have the Tapco on my Romanian AK and it has held up pretty well. It does it's job for the price point and the left or right handed sling attachment is a great feature.

In the future you could add a VLTOR AR stock adaptor. Essentially an adapter that is made of aluminum that also has left and right handed QD points for slings..

  • that tune is awsome

  • sup guys, any1 knows where does the diference betwen rifle and carbine is set referring to caliber?, i understand that a carbine is a minor caliber rifle, so it is the AK 47 sgl21 acarbine??

  • @Zocratezknows a carbine is just a short rifle for example M-16 rifle vs M-4 carbine the only real diferances are the M-4 has a shorter barrel and a colapsable stock both fire the 5.56mm NATO same withe AKs AK-74 rifle fires 5.45mm the AKS-74U carbine fires 5.45mm out of a shorter barrel

  • @wild50gunner so...., sgl21 is a carbine or not??, that nutns one?

  • @Zocratezknows I concider it to be a rifle

  • what?!? an mini-14 cost 700 bucks? wtf, dude why would anybody get a mini 14 instead of an ak? dude thats insane

  • @nunvikingsofthesea Well Arsenals like he said are quality made, but hell i can get a cheap Romy WASR 10/63 for like $350-$400 then buy furniture AND ammo. Romanian AK's arent exactly pretty but if you clean them up you'd be surprised how well they can shoot.

  • If anyone needs AK mags there is a really good deal out of Ohio right now. under $8 for Bulgarian 30rd Steel Magazines.

  • anyone got any problems with the heat with the handgaurds?

  • I understood that the Arsenal is a more expensive weapon but I knew that it was a better made weapon and actually Russian and not some other weapon from another country, while those are fine weapons most of the time I just could not live with the purchase knowing that there is some thing else that is better out there and so far I am very pleased with my SGL 31, getting a tapco hand guard to mount a fore grip, it is going to be like Nutns with only the lower guard installed.

  • beautiful guns...love em!

  • SGL's until i get old and wrinkled PERIOD!!!!

  • @Mrskill, you will never regret tht decision. Happy shootin. I will get old and wrinkled with my SGL21.

Sub standard ak's still being used to date and SGL's are far from standard. LMAO

  • Alright Nutnfancy, I returned my WASR-10 After going through two, and Im going to pick up a SLG-21

  • I love the circle 10 mags. Tapco's magazine problem is that if you do the speedy magchanges if you fail to hit the mag release, you can snap the lip. Me, being an owner of a few ak's, like to see a optic on an ak from time to time. I tried the ultimak rail and never found a real reason to go cowitness with the irons when the siderails are ment to do that anyways if the optic fails.

  • If I use imported magazines like the metal ones, or even a 75 round drum, will I have 922r problems?

  • @TheXoXSarahXoX If you head over to Tapco's website they have a very nice layout of 922r compliance regulations for the ak, sks, etc.

  • Where did you get your bolt on type lower handguar retaining plate for ak47. please send me a message, tnx.

  • gOOD VID, but YOUR CONSTANT OUT OF CONTEXT wording is so annoying,People's equation, evary 60 seconds your misusing a word. It sounds so ridiculous to people that majored in English definition, You DID not go to college did you?

  • @rheinmetall30mm You should probably head back to college yourself so you can not only learn how to spell but also when to capitalize your words, punctuation sucks as well :)

  • ah, AK's, the mosquito repellent of the desert...

  • Hey Nutn, where did you buy your SGL? I live in Provo, UT.

  • it's a shame that midwest rail brings down that accuracy cause it looks sick

  • Does the "rail problem" still exist? I would think Arsenal took care of it, right? Does someone know?

  • @Raccoonraper Its not arsenals problem, its the midwest industries rail, and the only way i know to fix it is it get rid of the rail.

  • how tall are you? do you prefer the nato or warsaw length stock ?

  • @elderek01 He says that in the first 3 minutes....

  • Pretty sure I'm going to pick one of these up. I already have an AR-15 but would like to get an AK as well. Found one for $644 with free shipping so I think I'm going with that; awesome videos nutn, thanks for all you do.

  • hey nutn thanks so much for all your vids on the arsenal guns! i think you have convinced my dad to get the sgl-21!

  • hey nutn, what do you think of the battlecomp muzzle on an AK?

  • Love the vid! Hopefully I can get one in CT.

  • Just a phonetics lesson...that backwards R is pronounced "YA" so it is "kay vah yah"

  • your my roll moddle so can you give me your pinion. what do you think about the Yugoslavian AKs?

  • Thank you so much! great info and i ended up buying one of these vs. a basic surplus after watching these reviews!

  • Hope to save enough money next year and buy a 7.62x39mm.

  • So does anyone else believe the MI rail throw off the harmonics of the barrel? I really like the MI rail but if it's affecting the accuracy that much I will have to look else where for my soon to be SGL21.

  • @LiftedShooter Yes, any gun will have effected accuracy when you clamp somthing to the barrel, including big heavy metal things.

  • AK100s inaccurate my ass...

  • thank you so much for the vid. I have been looking at both the 74 and the 47 and have been overwhelmed with info. You helped make things much clearer. Please keep doin what ur doin. It helps a lot

  • Thank you, Sir!

You've cinched the deal for me as far as purchasing my first AK is concerned. A saleman at my local gunstore, Whitemarsh Arms, in Reisterstown, Maryland also highly recommended me getting an Arsenal SGL21. I just love the rugged, butt ass ugliness of an AK. I have two AR's, but they are just too beautiful and lady-like. A man needs his ugly go down dirty mistress on the side too. The AK fits that bill. LOL!

  • @youchris67 Arsenal is running over a grand though, youre not going to beat it up either..kinda defeats the purpose of an AK. Go check out a CAI "Tantal" or AMD-65, a fraction of the cost and just as good alot of the time. No, it wont be 2 MOA, but who cares?..its an AK not a Styer. Go look at Hickock45's video "AK at 230 yards", he takes a lowly WASR10/63 and scores regular hits on a 10" steel plate at 230Y, rapid-fire off-hand, pretty much ANY AK is good enough to do the job.

  • @Gloomshadow1 .. Century tantals are notorious for a specific problem, that being that the barrels are not 100 percent manufactured to fit the 5.45x39 round.. which therefore results in the bullet keyholing as it comes out of the barrel because it doesnt fit through the barrel properly... you do get what you pay for, and no arsenals are not running over a grand they can.. but mostly run between 7 and 8.. you do get what you pay for, id rather pay the price to get a quality product

  • @LoGAtRUnEaRtH428 bullshit, never heard of that..I know several people with CAI Tantals..they shoot fine. The build is on par with a Cugir of the mid 90s, Not quite as nice as a true Polish model in some spots but so far, the CAI s have been ok, the biggest risk was on early model WASR10s. If you want "quality get a HK. AKs have a quality all thier own, they can be put together and carried by monkies all over the globe with no special training or skills.

  • @Gloomshadow1 ..I cant speak from experience because ive never shot one, but its a problem, look it up.. but i have known people who have owned century models and ended up getting rid of them so, I wouldnt own one i guess is what im saying.

  • @LoGAtRUnEaRtH428 Ive been doing this for 20 years, Ive assembled my own AKs out of Romainian parts kits, delt with all kinds of different shit over the years. EVERYTHING can have problems, Ive even have problems with Smith Revolvers, you just send the shit back, no big deal. Most of the negative shit said about CAIs were small problems that didnt amount to much and like I said that was on early models back in 02-03 or so. Dude, EGYPTIANS can put an AK together, you telling me that the US cant?

  • @LoGAtRUnEaRtH428 Springs can break, stuff may not fit together perfectly bla bla bla but thats the beauty of that AK desgin, it doesnt have to be perfect to work. They were something that coulb be cranked out in the millions by unskilled labor and still be an effective weapon. Dont like the barrel, heat the trunion up with a torch and knock it out with a mallet and stuff another one in there..cost maybe $60-$80

  • @LoGAtRUnEaRtH428 you also gotta look at the average AK that is on combat duty right now and compare that to a CAI..youll find that the CAI is a better choice than the average AK serving in some African or middle eastern army. Those things are decades old, never been oiled nor cleaned and bores are totally shot out of them...and those things are killing! People over here crying that the CAI doesnt have a chrome bore, the African ones are lucky to even have rifiing left in them! ha ha

  • @LoGAtRUnEaRtH428 ok, I looked up what you were talking about. you need to make sure your CAI Tantal has a serial number #RI-1576 or higher. The first few batches had a 5.56mm style bore in them that didnt work out with all types of 5.45mm ammo out there, thats all it was. They got the rifiling tools they needed to get the original 5.45 bore in there now though.I would have just dropped a Polish bbl in it and solved in in one feel swoop if I ran into that problem, easy fix.

  • Hi Nutnfancy: Is the single pt sling loop on the SGL21 that you have the Tapco T-6 on part of the T-6 stock , or a separate item?

  • Hey, do you prefer the warsaw or NATO stocks?

  • People say that the handgaurds are very susceptible to getting heated up after around 2 mags, so hot that it hurts the experience, is that a issue with anyone here or is that just AK elitist talk. Could you put after market wood on there if you wanted to?

  • have you looked into the ultimak rail and the lighting bolts for running the akms?

  • @shapie08

    .

Ultimak replaces the gas tube and that comes with the heat problems and forward placed weight that Nutn has never been a fan of

    .

Expanding on the point above, he prefers the side rail, and obviously the lightning bolt requires removal of the side rail.

  • Try the 106FR in 5.56NATO. I love my 5.45x39 rifles but the 5.56 is more fun to not have to clean as much!

  • Holy crap i love that begnning song, i listen to it all day.

  • Nutn is an AK fiend look at all the Klashnick's hes got flying in and out the camera aperture.

Nutn you need help man, H&K is calling! Do it!

  • Again, great video, excellent AK's...Russian AK's,hell yeah! But yeah,Wolf ammo is bad,Silver Bear,Golden Bear and Brown Bear is best.I also saw the annotation that you said the 7.62x39 can be used for hunting...yes it can,it has the same ballistics as the 30-30.I shot a deer with my Yugo AK last year, using Yugo M67 military surplus ammo.

  • @KalashnikovTribute Wolf 7.62x39 atleast sucks. Today I had like 4 or 5 bad primers when I was shooting the Mini 30.

  • What is price differance between ARSENAL and SAIGA's AK ??

  • @rohan9621 Arsenal AK's are saiga receivers.....

  • @teflon442200 No. The Saiga recievers have the trigger guard and trigger set back, where the Arsenal always had the trigger in the right place like on the military version.

  • Dude - you are a hero to the Second Amendment! If the Founding Fathers can see you...they COMPLETELY agree with what you are doing! Keep up the awesome work - I just ordered my TNP T-shirt!!

  • song?

  • question...... What gloves did u have on in the video?
