I have a G35 coupe, but I wanted an AWD too for winter. The BMW looks so corporate-type. To me my alternative is a 2010-11 G37 X AWD coupe. Plus a UTEC Engine Management Sys. and a turbo kit. People=Different tastes..
Got a 330d, crap in the snow but huge fun and a great car. It's the 2009 saloon with the new 30d so 245hp and 530nm Torque. The xi is a great idea but does it add much more weight to the car ?
This question is for anybody who has driven both the 335i Rwd & the 335xi Awd models... Does the 335xi ride any better than the rwd model due to the heavier weight? I know there's a sport package, I believe for both models. So I guess I would be comparing the 335i rwd base & sport to the 335xi base & sport depending on which ones you have driven. I'm trying to get down to the BMW dealer to drive both but, I've been buried at work. When I do, I will let you all know what I think. Thanks
I own an E92 335i and have also driven the xi that a friend owns. Both are fully equipped including sport pack. In my opinion I prefer the rear-wheel drive version. When you increase a car's weight it decreases it's performance (as I'm sure you know). I find that the rear-wheel drive version not only performs better, but as a result of the weight difference also rides better.
In the end it's your call, take the time to go to the dealer and try both for yourself.
After a couple of subarus I love awd in wet weather. My current 330i is fun to drive, but it is the electronics keeping me on the road, drove with them off in the wet and scared myself. Never had that happen in the subbies despite lack of electronic keeping me from the ditch. The Japanese fit items I miss on my merc and bimmer, rear window wiper being the major item. Couple of flicks and I can see to the rear, in the europeans on with window defrost, which clears just as I get home.
lol are you retarded? why would they not advertise that its 330, what the fuck does BMW care if insurance goes down and competition? If anything it would make them look better if the car has 30 more horses you're a moron.
Actually the AWD version is nothing but an improvement over the RWD version, as the system only engages when it senses that the tires are slipping, on normal dry surfaces it functions as a regular rear wheel drive car. I live somewhere where the winters are cold and usually end up taking a toll on the axles and suspension of the car among other things so this is great.
Of course the all wheel drive version costs a bit more and thats the only reason I can see why someone would not want it.
they are nice cars, but they are but ugly . Sorry., Audi makes much nicer looking interiors and exteriors.

I wouldn't bring a big gulp inside my brand new $40,000+ car. Warrenty doesn't cover damage caused by soft drinks.

Pathetic "down" comment by that tall fattie... he wants a 40 oz. cup holder. What a goon. Driving a car is about driving, not slurping.

@JET997u
No but really. For how genius the BMW engineers are, their cup holder suck.

I have to agree with the reviewer on the cupholders. This could very well be the perfect car, and that could very well be its only flaw.

The 335 is an excellent car! Only thing though stay with the RWD version or get a Quattro!

I agree with stife the awd version is way better and its so good it actually makes the car 0.1 or 0.2 seconds quicker from 0-100
