  • go cannot be played by computers, so humans are still useful after all :) HAHA!

  • @15089643 - if a human programmed some of the supercomputers to play it, i think by now they have enough compute power to handle all the potential variations (in a realistic decision-making time in terms of computer as player). offhand can't be exactly sure but i suspect multi-gpu's would be ideal, because the placement rules are simple and need to be computed many times over.

  • @15089643 - actually maybe not even yet, would need to work out how many variations and compare to compute cycles (or flops). you could sort-of cheat a little with clever program rules tho, as many of the possible placements and their branching off variations could be ignored, as not being useful move choices.

  • historically speaking, go originated from China and spread to Korea and Japan. However, the story of the king is indeed doubtful and is open for interpretation

  • Hm... The explanation mr. Xiaoliu gives is suspiciously reminiscent of the kind of marxist doctrines about stages of history that have so often been enforced in China, I find it hard to give it much credit... In these theories, a priori supposed economical conditions are simply taken, also a priori, to have a determinate influence on every aspect of human life in a given era. It really isnt very scientific but most often it is what goes in China.

  • @wishcraft4u2 - but that happens with any accounts of history including prehistory. it's kind of like the go variations....eg justnow many people are having more economic hardships than usual, but despite general trends - for lots of other folks it is still prosperous, or it has become prosperous.

or like they say 'conditions on Earth were...' '...died out..' - but not all died out really, always finding new clues and survivors.

  • @RYANMOW primitive but fun

  • @RYANMOW American Consumerism is primitive, not this :P

  • @TheRectangularVerb - his stupid comment is primitive..

  • @NWOareScum The attempted use of a hyphen for subtle highlighting is primitive.

  • @TheRectangularVerb - you mean that? -

    learn punctuation then..

even better - learn why expressive punctuation is both useful and more informative

  • @NWOareScum learn that hyphens break the regular flow of sentence structure and that they are hardly to be used when you haven't built up any sentences prior (unless you're form Sweden, then you shall be excused)

  • @TheRectangularVerb - no they don't. it just makes eg a clear distinction between the username and the beginning of the comment.

you have serious mental health problems to be even mentioning something like that to anyone. if you were an english teacher and this was your english class, then yes you can comment on how to write formal prose. but even at that, you'd be ignoring what many writers and nearly all poets do when they write at all.

  • @NWOareScum So using that totally useless hyphen makes you a poet now?? xD Look, clearly your English teacher hasn't taught you about hyphens, I took it as my responsibility to lecture you.

  • @TheRectangularVerb - no scumfuck it doesn't. i'm not a poet, i'm pointing out that your 'views' would kill creative writing.

when i replied you i didn't realise you are the same schizo you also were replying to.

you're the same usual schizo split-brain typing to itself, smiley using fucking freak trying to play both sides with your colonialism evil.

    kill yourself twat.

  • @TheRectangularVerb - also for someone that uses dumbass smilies, you can't say fuck all about flowery use of english anyway

  • @NWOareScum So you are saying that you are no poet. Why all that emotion then? Why in the medium of the written word? Why not punch a wall or scream it out? Surely, your reason can hardly be to persuade me, it is far too emotional for that. I say, thou art a poet after all!

  • @TheRectangularVerb - why mention sweden - you must be the paedo that emailed me and said i should show my boobs on camera, claiming to be swedish.

next time you correct a scumbag and someone good like me leaves you a supportive comment, don't be surprised when you then start being abusive to them, that they'll point out you're a schizo that was posting to your own anti-china comment here to begin with.

those things you mention aren't poetry. kill yourself moron.

  • @NWOareScum Oh dear. I think I was just translucently enlightened by the above. I think I will take your words and do as you say. Hold on. No wait. Hah! I got it! Eureka! Of course! The reason why you are saying that stuff is not because you are serious, it's because you had a tough childhood. Of course! Yay!

  • @TheRectangularVerb - like i said, clearly you're the same satan schizoid that posts to their own idiot channels, all over the internet. otherwise you'd have been normal and taken the opportunity of alike-thinking as an asset rather than a target of your vile mentality.

    kill yourself.

  • @NWOareScum So much anger. So viral. That strength. You, sir (or ma'm), are a victim of our hedonistic and pleasure-ruled society. Spaghetti be with you.

  • @TheRectangularVerb - no your imposing your stupid shit on me only means you desire i be your victim. who cares, you go to hell for eternity anyway.

again, the point here being - you are a schizoid freak that posted to your own split-brain channel that said this game in the video is primitive.

i'm not the one that attacks people that did nothing but agree with me on a valid point - your sick society IS you.

    kill yourself.

  • @RYANMOW - your stupid comment is primitive. and not in a good shamanic way either.
