this was taken from my "how the grinch stole chirstmas" cartoon video with "horton hears a who" cartoon videos but i remember this logo when i was 3 years older
In fact, this was precisely the one I was looking for. The music played precisely where I remembered and I haven't seen it for 10+ years and I wasn't even a teenager back then. The thing I like about when the music began is it gives you a split second to recognize the background, then when I do realize what it is, I hear the music, then the memories come back.
The beginning of the music is a reminder; the middle plays as it passes; then the end plays as it stops.
This is the videotaped version, so the animation is smoother (although you can't tell in the video). Also, there are a lot more stars at the beginning than in the 1987 version.
I've never seen this logo anymore...the last time I saw it was on a cartoon (can't remember which one) in 1997 right before the TNT switch on CN UK

how could they get a graphic from a 1980s computer into a 1997 computer?
they couldn't of just remade it with perfect accuracy.

ok I see It now. the 1987 one also is about is about 3 seconds longer
GDelva2003 2 years ago
The animation of the 1987 one was purely 1980s CGI. Ten years later, the system would become a little more complex, but it's the same graphic.
And besides, in this 1997 version, the blue Turner marquee looks more expanded than the original one.

TCM and Encore seem to have alot of these Turner logos. Course I never what movies will have these or when they come on.

YEAH...Tell me about it!

This might be from the late '90s, because the original version was filmed, not videotaped.
