  • To be honest that upper layer looks more like an old stream channel then it does glacial till. Glacial till tends to be much less uniform in layers. If I were you I would ask the property owner for permission and see if you could do some test holes and work close to that clay layer / false bedrock...

    You never know he just might let you.. looks like a good area though..

  • Ive been to Bainbridge I think that is close to chillicothe and I did pretty good there so Im sure there is gold where you are

  • @bluegoose94 there is a chance of gold in all the glaciated and glacial out wash areas of Ohio. You can get a glacial map of Ohio, at Ohio DNR and they also have a map of reported gold locations.

  • that white dirt is clay about 6 feet thick i seriously doubt there is any gold in that
