  • I don't see why everyone has to bash Catherine about her performance at the Tony's. She was sick, FYI. It's fine to have your own opinions on things, but I don't get why you people have to be so cruel in saying so. Maybe she wasn't the BEST at the role, but she's still a great performer.

  • CZJ's performance at the Tonys was so jaw dropping bad, and the fact that she won made me wistfully remember Broadway's golden years which are long gone. But....the story has a happy ending!

When I saw that Bernadette Peters and Elaine Stritch were to step in as replacements I got tickets immediately.. They did not disappoint. There was no ego or anything of the kind, only great craft coming from these true masters of the stage. Peter's Send In The Clowns was breathtaking.

  • CZJ is so clearly an egomaniacal monster, barely able to conceal her true nature beneath a false facade of niceness. Words beginning with both "b" and "c" are constantly oozing out of every pore upon her seemingly flawless countenance. I was in NYC last week and so happy to have seen Peters and Stritch in this show; they were both marvelous.

  • @ganesh64 My, my...you sound as though you know her personally. I found her performance flat but there is no need to be so personal. I was mostly disappointed that my favorite musical received such a consistently mediocre revival.

  • Cat Zeta Jomes doing her character with an English Accent. And she murdered Send in the Clowns on the Tony Awards. I was fortunate to see her understudy do the role on Broadway and she was fantastic. I didn't miss a thing by not seeing Zeta Jones.

  • Love this, thanks for posting!! This is on my list of "to see" shows.

  • I saw this yesterday -- What a wonderful production.

The only really bad thing was Anne: She was whiny, annoying, and histrionic.

  • @AtLastOnTheGround The first time I saw this on Broadway, I had the same opinion of Ramona Mallory's Anne. But when I saw it again, I appreciated her a lot more. She has a beautiful voice and is really funny.

  • @Judill

I saw this twice, too! ..but she annoyed me both times.
