one of the great duets...ever. period. love everything about it...! it is great looking back on those days - there will never, ever, ever be as great a music epoch as we were privileged (though we realize that only with years of life gone by) to watch unfold. Love it.
I have to laugh at some of these comments about all the "innocence" and "absence of sex" of this era... This was the tail-end of the baby-boom, so, clearly, there was plenty of sex going on. And this ENTIRE movie (and the whole "beach" genre) is about sex. They're just not using graphic or vulgar terms to discuss it.
My older bother worked as an usher at the local movie theatre which allowed me to watch this movie a dozen times or so. I kept coming back for this duet and the beautiful Annette.
So cute - so innocent - they should have released this as a Duet single - whatever happened to days such as these - sex was something barely hinted at, a kiss was a big deal, people dressed like humans, and you didn't see constant TV commercials for "erectile dysfunction".
@JohnnyGNV People just hid it. The 60s were great on screen and as an 80s/90s kid, I'm fascinated by it. However, lets be real. This never really existed.
I am from that era Johnny, there was some sex, not as much and as bold as today, boys & girls had the same hormones as today. But most of all, there was a lot more respect, a lot less pressure (I mean the early sixties - before the hippy movement) at least in Northeast USA. Inviting a girl out was a big thing, you dressed up (and so did she), we'd go to the local diner, or better, order you 'dogs & fries to be served on the side of your car... It was nice, that is how I grew up...L
@JohnnyGNV well for this time period these movies were actually really "sexy" - with the idea of hipster beach bum kids and there was always this one blonde girl in that bikini who liked to shake her top and a guy who was chasing her around - been a while since I've sat down and watched these movies but I remember her; that must have been pretty racy for the 60s xDDD
Probably their best duet ever, from the beach movie with the best overall soundtrack...thanks for this, and especially for Donna Loren's "It Only Hurts When I Cry," IMO the best song ever from one of the AIP classics
my parents used to play the beach movies all the time when i was a kid i used to sing all these songs

Innocent times back then. Love this song very much. Should have been released as a 45. Songs can't get any better than this.

Great song. Great performances. I really love the violin in the second half of the song.

I love how they do the song in front of a projected background of the surf. Easier to do in the studio since they are lip synicing.

No this is a movie. But many and I know many did act like this so it did exist back then.

One of the best songs ever, unjustly forgotten, great blending of voices.
Great video.
