I have a DEH-8200BT headunit and video/music plays perfectly from a 32GB SDHC card (TakeMS Class 6).

To bypass the parking brake, I have connected/crimped the handbrakecable to ground (the black wire going to the unit).

The device does play XviD movies aswell as DivX. Although it doesn't support all versions of xvid and divx.

I have a problem with mine, i have the same as you, but mine can´t play the videos from my iPod, when i change the source to AUX it show up a message that says tha says that playing videos in the front seat while driving is prohibited, it shows the same when I play a video from the iPod!!!

I use .avi files. If you downloading youtube files , try YoutubeVideoConverter.

But if you wanna watch normal movie for example 700 mb divx I didnt do any convert .

I tried to play a video (divx downloaded from net) through the USB but the HU couldnt detect it. I went to Home -> List -> Video but the Video was greyed out. The salesperson said i can only play videos through the ipod. Watching this video, it looks like you are playing files via SD. Can you advise what i need to do to be able to play divx files? thanks

Hey jordiPL. This was at the shop demo board. I wanted to test if it would take a 32mb usb and it works fine. So i put a video in but it didnt load. The option is greyed out. I have just reconverted the vids as divx and mpeg4 format. I will test them next week. Its not the parking brake issue, it just wont read the format. They are in AVI format but maybe i need it to be a special type? Can you show me where you get or convert your video files so i can compare?

Today I have set my sd card to USB port and pioneer wont open any mp3 files, than i tried to put the same card to SD port and everything was fine ,I dont know why

The 32GB USB i used works perfectly with MP3s. Maybe it just didnt like the divx codec. I have converted some new divx files using the youtube converter. Will update you on findings this weekend. Maybe vids work better on SD? who knows

just came back from testing out DIVX. I brought along an 8G USB & 2G Sandisk SD Card. Both had 2 DIVX stored. 1st DIVX has data rate of 1200kbps, total bitrate 1328kbps. 2nd DIVX has a data rate of 3130kbps, total bitrate 3279kpbs. The 1st DIVX worked on USB only but not SD. 2nd DIVX did not work on either. I have also tried this on a 32G USB stick but it did not play either. JordiPL: Can you tell me what bitrate is your DIVX on your SD card & also what brand SD card u r using?

If the video is geyed out, it is possibly because you have not told the device to play video.

1. choose your source, eg. SD

2. push the rotary commander and scroll down to Format.

3. push the rotary commander one more time and switch it to Video.

I used the Youtube Video Converter to convert a couple of videos. 1 in DIVX format and the other as MPEG4. Hopefully it will play off a USB whereas you played it via SD card.

I get a poster as security for not watching videos while driving, you'll have a solution to my problem? (What happens is that I played the video, but only to your audio, not the visual part). I have a WD passport 120 gig hd hooked up to the usb and it works fine. My only problem is all the vidz that i convert don't work(USB and SD). I use youtube video converter with them to avi and they are always grayed out.???? Any advice?

is it possible to make backlight reeeeealy dark. i had a pioneer, so even the lowest brightness level wasnt enough dark. it was annoying at night.

To show the artwork album how do you do it? I tested this at bestbuy with some albums in my usb drive and could not get them to work. I have them album and inside the folder they are named Folder.jpg how fast does the music load up for you?

This Pioneer doesn't have CD ROm or Dvd rom, so there is only SD ( music+ video) or USB ( music + video ) or Ipod ( connected under usb )

I have tested only SD card.

@kjorte Ok thaks you very much. I'm insteresting in this model of pioneer but its price is a little expensive and I havent got an IPOD or IPHONE but this model is very beatiful.

Another thing that I dislike is that the frontal panel don't quit completly and that the usb is in front of the radio becuase it dificult the vision of the copilot.
