We learnt how to play this in orchestra a few days ago. When we first got it, my friend and I had such a hard time xDD Ironically, by Friday, we could play just as fast our viola players (who, two of them, are very talented).

The ending would've been nice if it had a vibrato. Not throughout the whole last note; maybe just before you ended, you know?

Wow, don't be married to an arrangement, these trad tunes are meant to be enjoyed, not that learning a typical arrangement is bad, but explore others too. I know this tune in 3 keys, with different runs that I can play in all 3. And as far as accompaniment and tempo, anything goes really.

I love this song. When I play it, I usually change up the B section by removing all slurs, and on the quarter-note-E-then-eighth-not­e-F#, I just make it an E with a G and F# for two grace notes.
