Actually Can you feel it was recorded after their mother made mj regroup with his brothers (they knew they wouldn't sell with out mj). Mj singing can you feel it was for their benefit, not mj's. This was after Thriller if i remember correctly!

However they did create some songs without MJ but it failed on an epic scale. I can tell who remembers the Jackson Five and who doesn't from the comments on here. I hate how people try to diminish what the other brothers did for the group. While Michael was the main lead singer and my favorite, I've still always loved the J-5. When you look at their choreography and listen to their many hits, you know this was a solid group of professionals. And in concert, the J-5 put on a show like no other. Stop putting down the Jacksons. They're a family and real fans know this.

I think some of the people making these comments need to do some research and watch a few older videos listen to some of their live recordings to see that they were ALL equally talented. Jermaine on bass and Tito on guitar were KILLER! Listening to them sing live you forget they're as young as they were because they could harmonize like the best of them.

OK well i wasn't 100% on that but i do remember watching a programme where they said the brothers had to go to their mother to get MJ involved. However they did create some songs without MJ but it failed on an epic scale. MJ made the jackson 5 what it was, remember the girls used to like Jermaine more but when he left they didn't exactly go head over heels to buy his songs!

lol ... no! But that's a funny thought. Each award show and program has it's own "emblem" if you will. MTV has a man in a space suit w/a flag. Soul train has well, a "train" award. Hockey winners get an oversized (Stanley) cup...It's not the object, but the honor. AND if it's an all silver "bucket" then it's even more valuable (like the Super Bowl trophy, which is a designed by Tiffany & Co., made of sterling silver and is worth $50,000!!!).

I can tell who remembers the Jackson Five and who doesn't from the comments on here. I hate how people try to diminish what the other brothers did for the group. While Michael was the main lead singer and my favorite, I've still always loved the J-5. When you look at their choreography and listen to their many hits, you know this was a solid group of professionals. And in concert, the J-5 put on a show like no other. Stop putting down the Jacksons. They're a family and real fans know this.

I think some of the people making these comments need to do some research and watch a few older videos listen to some of their live recordings to see that they were ALL equally talented. Jermaine on bass and Tito on guitar were KILLER! Listening to them sing live you forget they're as young as they were because they could harmonize like the best of them.

But for those of use who were not, and who grow up in the era when Michael was doing his solo career and albums, that's a different story. People like myself, are really Michael's and/or Janet's fans and don't really care too much about the rest. And really don't want to see nobody but Michael and/or Janet. Don;t get me wrong, because I do appreciate the brothers, but I have to be honest.

@FushaD the jackson 5 and later the jacksons made the music but also the musicvideo to another dimention and finaly michael made in his solocareer the videoclip which was more a little movie than a clip and that's great. they were all verry good and they are still good cause they were thinking of a comeback as the jacksons or jackson 5 before mike's death. that's what they told in the documentairy which was taken at their own home. its a shame that mike died much too soon

I think it's funny how SO-CALLED fans like to forget that Michael shared a special bond with his family members, no matter what. A special bond that goes beyond petty trivial things. I don't think it was Michael's desire to have anyone living in his shadow, trying to crate tension and envy. Even though Michael was the star who shined the brighthest.

@mrsnet if I'm to be honest i have a different outlook on Janet since she did that ABC interview, for someone who went most of her career telling the mdeia beforehand that she would not speak about her brother, I was so surprised to she how she presented Michael during that interview and subsequently on that hater Oprah show. Your brother passed and all you wanna tell the world is about interventions which she can't be clear about. For sure Michael would've never done that to her.

As much as I loved MJ he could be stubborn and he surrounded himself with dubious people who took advantage of his kindness. Because of the false allegations against him and the abandonment by people in the music industry and some of his so-called friends Michael shut himself off from family and others. In my opinion MJ was getting to be a big superstar and they wanted to bring him down.

@MJhotflame -To finish what I was saying-I think there was a conspiracy to destroy MJ's career because he was using this music to make statements about healing the world and bring racial harmony. I have followed MJ and the Jackson's for 30 years and have observed MJ closely and there was no way he could ever hurt anyone. I think the accusations and the trial are to blame for MJ's death as well as some media folks. In the end it was the Jackson family who stood by their loved one.

They all had talent as they worked collectively to make the Jackson 5 a success. It amazes me that some people think they have more insight into this man than his own family. At Motown the boys were close it's when they went to another label that people started whispering in the their ears and planting seeds of division. MJ loved his family plain and clear.

This was in 08 , to think michael was out there in the world somewhere , that's all i needed to know was that he was out there. @aditza2006 - Not true in least bit.... they were his band, they played on most of his original "solo" demoes... like Billie Jean for example. There would be no Michael without these guys and vice versa - its called heritage . Check out "shake your body" live 78/79 - he and they are one:) His entire repertoire is basically born out of the Jackson 5 performances. And props must go to Quincey Jones & Rod Temperton :) Making records is not just about the front man ...hence the fall of Michael :(

MJ chose not to show up. That doesn't make the honor senseless! Although MJ often sang lead and viewed as the one with "greater talent", the award was given to The Jackson 5 as a reflection of their collective contribution to music. Alone, MJ has been honored many times over for his individual and collective contributions to the same. Since all gifts are God-given, they are not to be compared; esteemed as better/worse. More talented in one area does not make one invincible...
