You cant compare the W995 with this phone.

- If you like taking pictures and want to share the moment, buy this. Cause the camera is indeed very very good (at least for a phone!)

- If you like listening to music and see movies, buy the W995. All though this phone have 8.1 megapixel camera too, its nothing without the xenon flash (especially in the dark.. I've tested on both)

So as I said. You cant compare two phones, cause there's always one better thing with each mobiles.

means you can put any sim card in you want i:e o2,vodafone,orange,t mobile,whichever mobile phone operator you want to go with,put your old sim in and itl work no bother,whereas if it was locked to a specific operator it will only work with that operator example if it was locked to vodafone you cant put a o2 sim in the phone because it wont work.
