Miss Mattie..You brought tears to my eyes...This is EXACTLY how my mother used to make her Dressing, everything had to be from scratch (except the soup) I can already hear her yelling "you kids get your hands out of the dressing", We used to love eating it raw..Many Thanks!! YOU DID GOOD.NEXT TIME TRY HEATING YOUR BROTH BEFORE YOU POUR OVER CORNBREAD MIXTURE.THE CORNBREAD WILL DISSOLVE BETTER.

I always get my dressing moist enough so that liquid comes through the slotted spoon when pressed down on the dressing.
