  • All you can do is just watch out for these idiots and pray. That's the best you can hope for.I use to be one of those idiots, but God taught me to use my common sense and consider my fellow mans well-being.

  • Notice these accidents occur at night. You never pull out in front of people when you can't gauge how fast they're going (i.e. night-time). I'm not saying it's not the fault of the people racing (it mostly is), but the other people involved usually deserve blame as well. Especially when they have children in the car. It's this reason that (at night) I wait for all oncoming cars to pass before turning onto a street. It takes two to tango, etc. Learn to drive, people.

  • show more vids like this in drivers ed.

    build more race tracks.

huge fines and crush cars first offence.

most 16 year old kids dont think this can happen to them.

  • It's 90% of these you punks that kill in these streetraces they get the fast cars and can't handle the speed or power. I use to streetrace, but then I grew up and had a family we have many tracks to race on in NYC and N.J. sometimes you have too wait until they open up in the spring so in that time over the winter you get your car right for the spring/summer racer season these are just excusses young peole post. Race smart wait until the tracks open and who knows you might make it big.

  • YEAH THE SOLUTION IS BUILD US TRACKS THAT DON'T RESTRICT EVERYTHING WRONG WITH THE CAR I DON'T CARE I'LL SIGN A WAVIER SAYING IF I DIE OR SERIOUSLY HURT ITS MY OWN FAULT!!!!!! I love racing and i'll stay on the streets until they do build tracks

  • YEAH THE SOLUTION IS BUILD US TRACKS THAT DON'T RESTRICT EVRYTHING WRONG WITH THE CAR I DONT CARE I'LL SIGN A WAVIER SAYING IF I DIE OR SERIOUSLY HURTITS MY OWN FAULT!!!!!! I love racing and i'll stay on the streets until they do build tracks

  • I learned my lesson before it was to late.

  • don't street race, its illegal, they wouldn't make it illegal if it wasn't dangerous and it couldn't hurt people

  • my friend died in a car accident, he was racing a bike, and evryone just left him there, im always sad :(

  • This sucks for the family and friends of the people who passed from stupid shit like this. But what is going to stop people from racing and acting stupid? Nothing! There is always going to be that one dumbass that would well do something stupid and take a life. Now one thing that would be nice is a 24hour race track that people can race at. Maybe like 5dollars a race or 30bucks for unlimited. Just an idea, it might keep more of these morons off of the street.

  • What song did you use for this vid? Its a great vid, get's the point across. It is true you make a track available and it does wonders.

You build it.... and they will come.

  • Would it be worth it??? What will it take for any of you street racers to realize who would be feeling the pain and anger if something went wrong with your race and you got injured or killed??? For the U.S. Mainland States and Goverment around the World. HOW MANY TRAJEDIES DOES IT TAKE FOR YOU PEOPLE TO BUILD A LEGAL DRAG STRIP TRACK THAT CAN OPERATE EVEN IN THE FREAK'N WEE HOURS OF THE MORNING to get street racers to go to...

  • I hope my opinion would broaden the goverments in the Mainland U.S. and around the world to help provide a legal drag strip track/park. I have lost a friend from illegal street racing, I am damn sure I know what it is like to feel hurt and anger for something that could have been avoided from the start. So to anyone who is reading this no matter how good of a driver you are, or how many races you have won you are not invicible!!! a small error can be FATAL....my question is.

  • any mechanical problems you would be able to see the problem better. And the beauty to this idea is you do not have to evade police, you can do your little bet on the side with your opponent. And you can actually make people see what you got in your car for it to reach a certain time run. Over All no-one would get hurt while watching, and if your car is up to par with the safety equiptment Fatality would be avoided.

  • Continued- Guam does have a legal track, and any car that goes below time 13.00 flat has to have additional safety equiptment.

This I can say could be one answer to illegal street racers, where you have to be at a certain place on the state your at in the freakn wee hours on the morning, just to watch some racing and end up paying a heavy fine for even watching. A legal drag strip track w/c would be open during the day would make a lot of sense, specially if the car wud encounter any -

  • part 3. Since most street racers think they are invincible that the laws of gravity do not apply to their driving no matter how experienced they are any mistake can be a fatal error while pushing their car beyond its limits to prove a point!!! Reality strikes them when its over and done, like the movies portray it to be.

Instead of the government spending soo much money on reasearches that may or may not work,. Why not build a damn legal drag strip? and have the racer sign a waiver -continue

  • part 2- Really what does it take the State and its Government implements, laws that are always broken, a lump sum of money for researches that are not effective.

How many trajedies does it take to spread awareness to all youthes around the world? and coming generations of new breeds of street racers? My opinion wether it matters or not, Is for every State to make a Legal drag strip specially on the state where street racing is beyond controlled.

Since some or most street racers -continue

  • u make cars that can go over 150mph and u dont think people will speed. is it so hard to spend money on tracks rather than dump it into police cars and guns???

  • build more drag strips u wont have a street racing problem we got them everywhere in ohio

  • I'm glad I live in Sweden and have the opportunity to drive My supra to a LEGAL strip. But to be honest, many races occur on some kind of public street. Not on a street where people live doh. It's almost always by the industries, at night, when there's nobody there..

    More Tracks is the solution..Worldwide!!

  • I think street racing is awesome but this is sad

    They should build tracks

You know in japan freeway street racers play a game where you have to see how close you can get to a civilian car while racing

  • I like to go fast, I like to go sideways, but I NEVER do it with anyone with me or with anyone around, there is always a place with no one around late at night, there is no need to do it in suburban areas where you risk the lives of others. It's your choice to put your own life at risk but no one has the right to put the lives of others at risk

  • The media finds scapegoats, punishment, negativity, I've seen everyone launched into fear because they dont want to be arrested for auto-tuning, Find a SOLUTION not a SCAPEGOAT, News media, The answer is a safe place to race, not punishing some for having a car accident and making a mistake.

  • good video even though i like street racing i never do it in city limits i always do it in the country and always check for traffic that way if you get injured you only injure yourself and no one else.

  • no one ever listens to us because we are just punk street racers that dount care about life right thats how i fill i could fill city hall with street racers but we all know it will make no dif so why bother show us that you are willing to help and you will get all the help from us that you could ever use

  • My little brother, you're not a punk street racer. You're a gifted, talented man who's got mechanical, creative abilities inside of you that some people just don't understand, but that's ok, they'll come around. Trust me, I've lived it... Don't let it discourage you. Remember, one can't multiply. We win thru numbers. What we need to do is galvanize our thoughts and our talents together and build a venue and watch all the people come and support it.

    -Your big brother, Sammy Maloof

  • @TheStreetmulisha if the government would stop being so worried about the money in their own bank accounts and build a track near some major cities like so many parents and racers have asked and begged for this kind of thing wouldnt happen. i was almost killed when i wrecked my camaro into a field. had there been a track near i would have been there that night. and wouldnt have been hurt. there is so much evidence that building tracks cuts down on street racing by untold numbers

  • @TheStreetmulisha if you want to race to to a race track

  • most have made good points BUT here is the thing just because you dont have a track to go to at 2 am dose not mean you should go race on a street ......But in sayin that we have all done stupid things when we were young , i myself have got lucky a few times . but i have burried two of my friends to street racing i hope none have to feel that pain

  • I say they should open up race tracks every major city or every 25 miles, so these idiots that think there paul walker dont put others lifes in danger

  • this is sad but if the cops would stop shuting down tracks

  • carnt believe that a mouther would race her car with kids in the back

  • easy solution is to build a track...it cant be that expensive and ppl will earn money...more jobs....wtf is wrong with the gov.

  • I just want to say that you street racers are all pieces of shit. All of you. My friends little sister was killed by one of you fuckin retards waiting on her bus after school. I don't care if you drivers die because you deserve it. The only good street racer is one that you scrape off the road.

  • If u cant handle it dont drive it people cant drive at all i raced a few times on a open road cant handle it dont drive it

  • @arnoni11 that's the stupidest statement ever. Even the most skilled driver in the world cannot control a car 100% and can not avoid every and all variables that would make one crash in the first place. You are a moron if you don't believe this.

  • look you can argue all you want say what you want and do what you want street racing will never stop...no im sorry for the accadent its sad but tbh i street race have been for years now i do it on closed roads where if anyone gets hurt its me if iw ant to street race on a closed road i will its my life my fatal desicion and cops cant stop it its not possible just saying

  • I agree with everyone who says that racing should be done on a track...under controlled conditions, and NOT on public streets...abandoned or not. Anyone racing on public streets are breaking the law. Thousands of dollars are put into these cars, why can't drivers afford track fees? Two hours to drive to a track? So what...if you're serious about your sport, then that shouldn't be a huge thing. Make the sacrifice to keep you, your car, and innocent people safe. I love racing by the way.

  • anyone can drive a car fast upto 140mph but not every one can handle it. all those drivers are kids with driving licences

  • Amzingly, when nopinationals died at atlanta motor speedway, the streetracing on highway 19/41 (a local highway wide enough and long enough to support streetracing at 100mph)ended. Gone are the souped up rides that used to be common place, now replaced with people flying down 19/41 in stock cars.

  • the nearest track is an hour away when i could just go 10 min. away....GIVE US MORE TRACKS!!!...AND ONLY DUMAZZ PEOPLE RACE IN THE PUBLIC WERE ACCIDENTS COULD HAPPEN! we race in a clear street!!

  • lol suing the carmakers? like the guy below me said.

give these kids a place to race then u will see they will be off the streets.

car makers can make a fast car but its not their responsible if the new owner crashes it.

    the driver does.

  • Give the streetracers a track. They will be off your streets. You will not stop them from racing by locking them away. Crushing their cars. Charging them with money. It's an addiction to them. Give them a track, They will be off your streets. Ignore the problem with punishment, And you will not solve it.

  • it;s simple go to a track and not to the streets, plus most engine mods now require a dmv stamp i get caught with out it u lose ur car

  • NEED MRE RACE TRACKS!!! the nearest race track to me is two hours away..

  • That or take some of these vacant parking lots and convert them into race tracks. There's plenty of oppertuntys out there and nobody is doing nothing about them.

  • For a person street racing either they know how to do it or they dont. Majority of the kids doing it DONT, they race in area's with high traffic with a high chance of hitting an innocent person = STUPID. There are people in places with no track and have no other option to take there pride and joy on the road and are SMART with it as in they go to an abandon air strip or parking lot with no one there. A car club is needed with set rules and regulations to teach them how to use there machines.

  • sold my racer too. im done with that shit

  • after seeing some of the videos on youtube i sold my honda and will never street race again.

its not worth it, and if you have the feeling of doing it then go to the daamn track.

  • at least some people are seeing sense

  • SOLUTION: open more tracks not just around big cities. It happens everywhere, so, build more tracks everywhere. Not only does it take street racers off the road, but a few people will be needed to run the track, so jobs open up too. WIN/WIN SITUATION PEOPLE!!!

  • @1badmexican666 Very valid points. Hope someone who can make this happen sees your point of view. It would be a very win win solution.

  • @CrewChiefD thanks, we're listening to all of you and we're working on giving you a safe venue to show off your talents...

  • 2 solutions

    1. Quit giving licenses to people under the iq of 10

    2. build race tracks that are closer to the city.

whenever people build tracks they put them in middle of nowhere hicktowns, at least hundreds of miles from a city,

    CITY= STREET RACERS

  • Great video, really makes you stop and think.

  • More tracks true that is what needed :/

    it's not Need For Speed...

and it's NOT fast and the forious

this is reality and it's sad thay some kind of child don't now that

  • Sue automobile companies???? Its not thier fault reckless jackasses buy the car, do them up and race on the streets. It is the idiots behind the wheel. I was one of idiots. Racing my '83 blazer with a 383 CID down a road. A minivan came out from a row of trees. I swerved went in the ditch and rolled it about 6 times I think. I was hospitalized for 3 weeks and then went to court and got 6 months jail with license suspended for a year and probation for 2 years. Street racing isn't worth anything.

  • cheers mate

  • I can't stand it when people tell me to take my car to the track, where I have to pay god knows what and also the money to get there. Build more tracks that don't cost no 250 for a weekend or 10K+ year for me to be a member. Plus, if I were to pay that much money to race at a track in Chicago where you can only get about half a years worth, it aint worth it.

  • Its sad to know that people die everyday due to illegal street racing all because of street racers stupitiy.... Its called common sense take it to a track and be safe or at the very least use road blocking signs so innocent cilvillians dont get hurt or possibly even killed....

  • There is one solution BUILD TRACKS.

  • the only solution i can see is building more low cost race tracks, with lower racing fees. if there was a track near where i live and it was cheap enough to afford on a regular basis without making a 6 figure income i would LOVE that. Until then i'll be breaking the sound barrier on the highway and tripling the speed limit on every twisty road i can find

  • If your gonna street race, use common sense. I seen to many ppl looking at thier tach or the other car to pay attention to whats ahead. Stick to streets without parked cars or blind intersections/corners. I street race sometimes, but never where I think I could put others in danger. Remember your on the street, ppl don't think your going that fast, you assume they won't pull out but they think they have time to. Just be safe and keep your car safe, you really wanna lose your baby? I sure don't

  • Take it to the track! We need more race tracks!

  • here in nz we go out in deserted areas. not race thru busy streets where kids an inocent people are. we kan only hurt ourselves stillstupid i know

  • these teens were street racing in lexington, Nebraska and one of the cars lost control, hitting a car then a sign the flipping and stopped on the grass of the high school upside down. Then caught one fire because of the amount of NOS the put in there car. 3 people in the car died and the other survived.

  • To bad dumbasses here don't wanna give us a track. (Hawaii)

  • my cuzin was on the site of the accident when mother and boy burned alive for el monte police department i cryed and felt the pain i lost a friend due to racing it ant worth it i had a 2006 evo 9 its a rush no lie but i never raced anyone on the street only on the dirt and 2 weeks after this crash i recked my car at 530 in the morning on my way to work and was knocked out no air bags went off fast cars are not for safety for your self or others i know that personaly every 16 hours 160 people die

  • Sad...

Here on Long island, We also have a problem with street racing.

BUT, There IS NO DRAG STRIP. Figure that one out...

  • That is really sad. If your are going to race on the street go to a dead end street or put up road closed signs, its still dangerous but you dont risk the lives of civilians and little kids, racing isnt worth the death of little kids and parents, or anyone

  • so many accidents and deaths and people still dont learn it. WHY ????

  • race ware some1 wont get hert or killed

  • the one solution is tracks, tracks would take away 80%+ of street races. i live in a large city, yet the nearest track is a hour away in the middle of nowhere and noone can be bothered to pay chump change to pave a acre of land

all i'm saying is if cities threw in 100k for a track and charged 5 bucks a person a night, it would pay for itself in a year or less

  • if you want to race use a track not a street.

  • Its not worth it when u spend so much money and so much time to just have it destroied in a blink of an eye! and the worts is that u can hurt the ones ur with killed them or worse some one else that to live with that guilt for the rest of your life!! i like to watch street races but when people start to act stupid that shit does it for me or when people do 120 on the high way putting everysingle vehicle at risk!! no way!! F*ck that!! people will never learn unless it happents to them

  • It's largely the government's fault. It's like this in Australia, too. You don't have to learn anything to get a a license. Just buy one from you local cop shop - it's that easy!! They hand licenses out like lollies (candy).

Incentive? My guess is revenue-raising for the government...? Nothing's different there, i see.

  • uh depends on what state you're from. NSW has become harder to get licenses these days, you have to do 110 hours, red Ps for 1 year and greens for 2 years THEN you get your license.

  • im with them, give us a place to go and we will, i know it seems selfish, but true to the bone guys who love racing will do it anywhere, and MOST of us are concerned with saftey, id dump my car into certain death before hitting someone else, but im kinda used to thinking in critical situations, via combat and all but still its unfair for us to be limited to nothing either, not as much as someone dying but hey, more people die from regular accidents than street racing, are you gunna ban all cars?

  • I drift on empty parking lots, racing in the street is dangerous.. most pople doing it are young and inexpierienced, and one mistake is all it takes. but really shit happens, thats life. This is simmaler to the gun argument, "guns dont kill people, people kill people"

  • ITT: people sacrificing themselfes for the lulz!

gr8 job, keep the vids coming guise!

  • I love cars and what not and street racing is like awesome in movies but in real life, people aren't realizing what it really does and should really have learned something from this video.

  • to thcatbob: Dont race, man. Its not worth it. I'm an ex. I say again. Its not worth it. Could you imagine how you would feel if you were the cause of something like this in the video? I drive around town in my ex racing car, With a banner on the doors and back window that say " GIVE US A TRACK AND WE'LL BE OFF THE STREETS " Its not that we dont have tracks. its that many of us cant afford the rates, and times to be there. a 24/7 free track would be a great thing. So save your life, thcatbob.

  • But if you can afford a car and afford to "feed" it, then why can't you afford track fees???

  • my raceing days are just starting. i can wait till im done with my car. will i street race? yes. have i wrecked my car? yes i have totaled one in to a tree it sucks yes. will i race on a track? hell yes if there was one open 24/7 i would def go there other than the street but we all have to face it there will never be one...

  • No track here anymore on Oahu

  • I used to street race. Learned a lesson, TAKE IT TO THE TRACK.....or get out of it entirely.

  • agrezivkoop: I used to street race as well, then I became a young parent and grew up real quick, it used to be cool until I was a father and saw the dangers of what I was putting other peoples children into, and thought in my head "Damn... if it was my kid.... I'd be out for blood... this shit just lost all sense of being 'cool'"

  • Maybe street racing would be cut down if they gave us a place to go, where we could hang out and race at nights and such. Who knows.

  • rooftopvoter: Simple solution, lease an abandoned airfield, and get the right permits. You can race any time you want, no questions asked, as long as it's in a controlled environment.

It's what my brothers, my friends, and myself all chipped in an did.

  • plus you gotta think theres families who have been killed because people racing..in LA a mother and daughter and her two sons burned alive after street racing crash..NOw thats fucked up...kids get killed too though.heart broken families.lost first borns to something so stupid too.i just convinced myself.Like(snap)that quick.RACE RESPONSIBLYchoose life

  • I think that all street racers should just do something such as a banner on their cars saying something like "Give us a track and we'll be off the streets" or some sort. ? i dunno lol

  • i only do this in video games now

  • Yeah or get those real drift RCs and good for you bro. for me I like the style the sound of a Street cars but Ive never drag raced though but id like to only in the Legal way. I think thats a way they should do it you know.

  • Open up more tracks instead of closing them down. It will reduce street racing but you can't eliminate street racing

  • thats a tragedy indeed but honeslty raising my insurence cuz im not 25 and crushing cars isnt gona work i no because if my insurense goes up anymore due to racing laws and not only teenagers do it but adults do to im talking late 40s evn 60s iv raced but if im getting punished for it im gona start driving without insurence and if they take my car aaway ill go get another one

  • yeah that sucks for those families but put it this way, give us 24 hr acess to a drag track. no charge, they fuck up, they hit a wall instead of innocent bystanders. seems like a good idea right? that will help solve the problem right? keep me and my car off the streets right? why doesnt someone actually listen to us instead of ignor us cuz we race? figure that one out

  • We are listening to you and would like you to help us solve this growing problem. Please resubmit your comment (without the profanity) and we will post it. Your opinion is important and Sammy is actively working on a racing league and reality tv show so you can share your gifts and talent. We'd like you to be a part of it.

  • ahh sweet! if theres a way to have a Legal street race with more than one drag at a time though then that be cool.

  • @SammyMaloof Listen I can't condone street racing BUT all this could be avoided if they built tracks for people to race in a few places in each state for a small price (in order to maintain the track). But since no city counsel or state government seems to want to do that they can not seriously xpect for people to stop racing. unless you give people a legal place to do it they will do it illegally. (examples:pot & fight clubs) I see races a lot where I live and honestly I've never seen a wreck.

  • go to school...then become someone in that field and you do something about..it

  • i wanna go to the tracks now anyone knows one i live in burbank

  • Hi Jose, Irwindale has drag racing on Thursday nights.

  • oh okay thanks but sadly i wrecked my car racing saturday night so yeah thank god i did not hit no one i just slammed into a couple of poles but yeah i regreat doing that but thanks alot but my racing day are done

  • If you can find on to race on THEY keep on closing tracks down so what do you exspect, not everyone lives close to a track and when they close down tracks and spend money too inforce laws and catch streets racers, WHY not take all that money that they are getting to help stop street racing a build more RACE TRACKS for people to go too and keep them open 24 HRS. THAT WOULD stop a lot of the street racing that goes on cause them everyone would have a place to go.

  • what u need to do is ask the state officials to open more racetracks instead of closing them down and stop charging them more insurance money i am a street racer the track is like a hour and ahalf from me you someone is going to drive their cars that far to race when they just close one that was 30 minutes away from me

  • This was a very touching and ever eye opening video to watch and its always a heart stopper to see people in that pain. But I do have to say the authorities are partly to blame. Police ask that we resort to tracks and "safe" sanctioned areas to push our cars to the limit. Ok Fine they give us tracks... The closest track to the san fernando valley (willow springs) is uhh oh yea about 115 miles away. Shelby, Roush and Saleen petitioned to build a 3 billion$ world class racing facility

  • that is why i only go to the tracks.

  • great vid

hi anyone want to chat rg

  • powerful video man. good work.

  • I just click on this a started screaming. My 18 year Old Daughter Brittany Nicole Engleman was killed October 23 2007 by street racing the 2 men driving the cars are in prison for 4 years but that dont give me my Britt back.

  • i like to go fast ......but not at the expense of others

  • I mean, seriously. Tickets actually make the roads MORE dangerous because when you go faster (people still go over the speed limit), you're looking for cops while trying to go fast, making driving fast way more dangerous than it has to be.

The fair alternative is a reckless driving ticket - only applicable if someone's going 55KPh higher than the original street/residential area speed limits in a non-highway area with turns or houses on either side.

  • While driving your supposed to be looking around. If you want to go fast. Do it on a track. It's not our fault they were looking for a cop. They knew what they were doing was wrong, and decided to do so anyways. That was a choice. Tickets didn't make it more dangerous. It's the inexperienced paranoid drivers that make it more dangerous. Tracks are made to go fast. Keep it there.

  • this video shows speed are not controllet by people and that the wrong people dies.

One day a crash also open my eyes couse i was only less then one second away from die

  • few times ago i was a racer too. but a crash open mý eyes, speed is not controlet by people. Well this video show that speed are a weapon, and often it takes the wrong people away.

  • California has no shortage of race tracks. Contact NHRA or AHRA, or SCCA.

  • they need to have free admission.

  • If caught having a speed contest the cars should be confiscated by the police, crushed down to a 4x4x4 cube foot of metal and returned to the owner's driveway.

Yeah there is a difference between doing 5-10 mph over the speed limit and having a drag race on a street. Tickets are fine for slightly fast drivers.

  • a big problem is in cali the liberals wont allow any 1 to build race tracks for legal racing.

  • couldnt someone with land just make their own track, if they were rich of course lol.

  • dirt track on 4 acres would rock, and its free to build. minus the land cost lol.

  • pbmaniac51: Yes they could, they would just have to get the correct permits from the state.

  • i dont think smashing cars is the answer, i mean unless if it was yours, but other then that i feel bad for the people who died.

  • Man I wish this was on the news cuz those definitely arent the solutions great vid man
