when i was 14, a nice 8 point buck snook up behind me about less than 10 feet and I missed the shot because of the excitement and I scared him off.

i was sitting right on the edge of a field in these weeds and i was sitting on the ground with my crossbow in my lap and this 7 point walked so close to me his hoof actually clipped the cam of my bow and he made the mistake of walking back in front of me and thats when i shot him at 15 yards

well i was closer than all of you. i had a 5 year old 150in 8 point at 2 feet. if i only had a gun not a bow. then that day i had a 175in no tip at 45. crazy how a home mad ground blind works when you take your time.

yeah no kidding close encounter of the antlered kind lol any closer & he couldve walked hinself into the cooler. wow im so jealous over the fact you guys got deer... we have them but not the same kind & you gotta fly inter island not to mention the luck you need just to be chosen via an anual lottery.
