oth has a lot of little mistakes, but this one is just because the camera people film each actors' "coverage" separately, so when they were filming bevin's reactions, rachel said the line, and when they filmed rachel's lines, bevin was reacting to it. but since they were doing a closeup of rachel when she said she might be into girls, they had to edit bevins reaction in. so the clip they used was when rachel was saying her line during bevin's coverage. this happens in almost every single scene.
You wanna know why mistakes like these slip through? Because sometimes they're intentional. They edit the scene to add some length to it. I've spotted this countless times over the past 7 seasons of OTH. And it's usually because they want to lengthen a scene, show a reaction shot as if it were happening a few seconds later than it really did.
yeah, OTH is funny like that. it's like a little game after you've seen the eppies before to pick out stuff like that. my favorite is in season 3 during the rain storm with Naley where Haley's scarf keeps unwrapping and wrapping around her neck while the lightening is striking, lol!!!

Sometimes i think they cant be bothered to fix these mistakes haha
okay heres the thing...they put two cameras at different angles on each person and they put different sentences of each character together...with me so far?..................so then they mime things that they are meant to say when the other persons angle is on them......get it? so its not a mistake its called "PRODUCING IN A TELEVISION SERIES".

secondly ...if they produce a television series, and in a particular part of that television series, you can SEE THEM SAYING THE SAME THING twice ...then that IS a mistake -- a mistake in continuity
we never said it was a "problem" ..;we said it was a "mistake" ...and mistakes like this happen all the time ...this one was just ONE OF THEM we noticed

all we can tell you is that we know how television series are produced..and we know that they use multiple cameras to shoot multiple angles..but then its up to the editing team to make sure those different cameras and angles are not visible to the naked eye ... and make a smooth transition.
having the same txt 2 times does not file under "smooth tranistion", it files under "error"
this was in series 4 right? so...erm do you remember the strike they had...i think they lost their editing team for about a month i think...not sure lol
wans't that in season 5 though (tehs strike was between 512 and 513) and those were the writers, not the editors (eventhough they couldn't do anything either because the writers didn't give them anything to edit of)
on this episode, when haley is laying on the bench on the roof with skills, she streches back and you can see the tan fake-pregnancy belly she's wearing. its not a technical problem, but i noticed it a while back and it made me wonder how they can overlook that, same with this.
yeah each time I watch this episode on the DVD I always noticed that, it's kind of annoying though xD it's ruining the whole pregnancy thing seein' the pillow or dunno what xD
yeah, i know! i wasn't expecting that! and i really loved bevin and skills! i wish THEY would have gotten married. how cute. well, us fans can only wish, right?

Yeah, it's not so much a problem. If you watch any show this happens during at least 5 scenes. It's just the way they film it.
