When I heard Hello Moto, I cried in sheer nostalgia. This phone is very similar to my first cell phone ever.

Mine had some weird issue with the battery... like it leaked and rusted.

Corrosion.

That usually only happens with old pre-2000 cell phones and their Ni-Cad batteries, it doesn't happen too often with today's cell phone batteries. But, if left in the sun or some other harsh environment, some batteries will leak like that. I haven't had an issue so far. Just clean the corrosion off the phone and battery, and wait overnight to see if the battery will charge. If not, buy a new battery. On eBay, a battery for this phone is under $10.

@SeberHusky I got a new battery for this one before someone stole it. I need to find my stash of cell phones, I lost it in about 2007 somewhere in my garage. It had almost 200 phones. I had some odd ones and some weirdly broken ones. I also had a few prototype LG's and Motorola's. I had a LG VX4100 Prototype.

I still have 20 phones lying around in drawers, but I have a ton. It made my day when I found out someone besides me has a shit ton of phones too, haha.

LOL Nice! Well, I hate to rain on your parade...but I do not collect these cellular telephones anymore. I need to pay off debts, and I am selling them. To tell you the truth, I didn't feel all that comfortable collecting them to begin with. I ran out of room for them quick, and it was just some spontaneous collection. lol I enjoy collecting videogames more. You can get "more bang for your buck" so to speak with games than cellphones. It just wasn't my thing.

I have other collections now, video games, bowling balls, computer hardware, LP's etc. Regardless, thanks for uploading what you did, it was a true blast from the past. I do have to look forward to your Driver videos now though, I just got a PS3 and am most likely going to buy the game.

Thanks! The Driver vids will quit for awhile, and it will be back to normal random mishmash of videos soon. lol I just upload videos in whatever order they are in in my folders, otherwise I get "lost" and don't know what to do. lol

That's because it was discontinued 5 years ago, in 2006.

You can find them all over eBay though for about $22 a piece. They run about $5 for ones that are "as-is".
