I've seen plates and bowls made using a similar process as well, but only for decorative use. I would NOT recommend making dishware for food use using this process.
omg thats soo kool...im putting a place setting in the oc fair and its going to be all recycled and thats exactly what i needed!!! yaya.....but 1 question...do u think i could make a plate??
@yasmeennaimbi13 The decoupage glue that was used is called "Mod Podge". It's really good for projects like this, and to make collages and things of that sort as well.
it didnt take very long to record at all, we had a bunch of friends asking us to make them coasters and it takes so long we figured we would show them. it doesn't take a whole magazine, just a lot of pages, i think, we lost count after awhile.
Neat idea. It looks like the two of you had fun doing the video. How long did it take to record and how many magazines did you use? Are there any funny out-takes?

I just used window's movie maker. Its pretty easy to use, but your editing options are limited. It works for small creative endeavors like this.
