  • Gandalf, the Griffon Vulture 6:36 , has gone AWOL today!

"She was taking part in her daily display and started to soar. She got caught in the wind and just went higher and higher until she disappeared."

It is feared the seven-year-old female, could pose a threat to aircraft.

Hopefully she will find her way back to the centre!

  • @bealach Thanks for that, I searched the headlines of local papers - seems she made off good and proper. I have about 15mins of her in flight, must edit that now it might be th elast we see of her, probably on the continent now! Graham

  • Addition:

The last slow-motion-take and the final picture: absolutely breathtaking!!!

  • @derherwig Thanks Herwig, the Fz38, as you have found is also a very technically capable camera and you exploit it to the best of its ability. I sometimes find the TZ7 delivers better content than my GH1. I have just sold my FZ38 and am now waiting to get the fZ100 which has a 24x zoom lens which should be fantastic - I hope! Thanks for viewing and favourable comments again. Graham

  • @derherwig see the note from bealach the griffon vulture has been blown away on her flyind display.

  • Hi Graham!

Very impressive Video! The little owl (especially at 4:11 ) is wonderful. When I look at you videos I would love nothing better than buy a better camera. But my wife says: "Veto!" And so I have to wait about min. 2 Years until I get a new camera. The only good thing about it is, that there will be a technical progress year after year, so that I will get a technical marvel...hopefully!
