agreed im from florida and moved to arizona last year i didnt even heard about the place until i saw the weather channel and how close az is from sea of cortez lol. i so desert sick and i didnt want to drive 7 hours to san diego so decied penasco and loved ever minute of it. and if your afraid traveling down there like i was at the time dont. cartels dnt want nothing of a sleepy beach like penasco is. jurez or nogales are town i be afraid to go though.
I just don't understand why not the entire Arizona is down there every weekend. This place is awesome. Just been there last weekend. My new saying is the best thing about Arizona is Puerto Penasco.
Looks like you had fun. I was just in Puerto Penasco 2 weeks ago with my family. We stayed at the Mayan Palace resort. I made a video slide show of and you should come check it out in my channel ;)
Um...I can't remember, I think it may have been Senor Shrimps. If you find that hotel we stayed at, just head towards the beach from there and hit the market area and there's a few little restaurants along there you should check out.
Wow, the internet is amazing! Yeah I remember your cousin and your uncle, they were very hospitable :) We had a great time, it was our first time in Mexico. Anyhow, I'm glad that you enjoyed the video :)
Hey, thanks it's really fun to hear from people that enjoyed the video. I did it more for friends and family but alot of people have expressed how it gave them a good feel for what to expect. We ate at this restaurant away from the big resorts. If you can find the Pasada La Roca Hotel and go straight on the road past it its the first hotel on the corner right on the ocean.
However we ate shrimp both days and the other restaurant with the shrimp was Sr. Frogs I think or something like that. IT's just a couple restaurants down from the one on the corner and again right on the ocean. Both were pretty good. The toco stand was in town and it was on some corner street. I imagine you can find quite a few of them. If you can rent Jet Skis that was pretty fun. The water there is probably one of the warmest bodies of water in the ocean I've been.
I would have to say renting Jet Skis I hadn't done that before. Grew up riding snow machines in Alaska but the skis on the ocean waves was fun. Going to eat in the evening and walking around the local markets was fun. All the locals like to go out at night and sit next to the ocean and socialize. Is a nice retreat if you live in phoenix. Isn't that far of a drive down there.
Lol you are lucky you went in 2006... Now you need a damn passport just to get there.

I really don't remember. My cousin paid for the ride, I'm guessing between $20-$40?
