  • You should go to medical school

  • feel the music please :(

  • I finally learn this song i've been waiting 9 months to know how to play this song and i finally know how. Thanks man.

  • you suck dick head

  • thank god for skills he has brought you man thank god

  • ej ja sie w zyciu tego nie naucze :'(

i will never play this correct :'(

  • @mazur2218

Wbrew pozorom to nie jest trudne. na początek poćwicz na naszym polskim utworze Wehikuł Czasu Dżemu tak właśnie jest używana technika hammer-on i pull-off.

jak opanujesz intro do Wehikułu, to bez problemu zagrasz Layla :)

  • @ShindanPL wlasnie hammery dla mnie to masakra. ale wehikul mi wychodzi grany chwytami :P nie no powoli jakos to pojdzie mysle. chwilowo bard`s songa masteruje i jest dobrze :)

  • Unplugged version is tougher.

  • I need to learn the Verse man, it is tough, I need a tutorial, and tips.

  • thanks:) this really helped me:D

  • How old are u now boy??

  • Im iimpressed at how many people have read his autobiography

  • ur missing a note... i cant tell by listening but it sounds like 3rd fret of the g string... or maybe u just for got to strum it

  • ive never really played tab before, so just stay with me here plz.

i know h is hammer-on, p is pull-off, but what is s?? tbh i dont get the whole onn the seond part...:SS

  • slide

  • oh okay, thanks LOADS!!!

  • @gnrman999 s is for slide i am pretty sure

  • you've got all the notes in the rong order it sounds junk

  • lernt it alredi man im not big headed at all but that was realy easy

  • This is the Derek and the Dominoes's song.

Ever hear "Derek is Eric?" Clapton and Delaney both created this song when Clapton joined the Dominoes.

It was for Pattie, who at the time was George Harrison's Wife. "What would you do when you get lonely" for when she would leave him.

  • you mean Duane Allman dude..Delaney Bramlett didn't create this with Clapton

  • yeah most of the songs off the Layla album were with Clapton AND Allman... at least I thought they were.

  • yes they were. Allman came up with this riff(from Albert King) and the slide solo before the piano bit and obviously the slide solos' over the piano..A lot of people belive EC did must of the stuff on that album but Allman really brings it together just give a listen to Why does love got to be so sad

  • Clapton wrote the song for Pattie Boyd. Delaney didn't do any of the writing. In fact, Duane Allman did alot of the writing with Clapton for this album. But... the original version is by Derek & The Dominos. Eric Clapton did an acoustic version for his Unplugged album. That one is by Eric Clapton. Derek & the Dominos did the original.

  • Allman was simply a guest musician-- a very good one who contributed great slide parts, but nothing more. Clapton's co-writer (when he had one) was Bobby Whitlock (the keyboardist). Jim Gordon (the drummer) composed and played the piano coda in "Layla."

  • ahah ur retarted, eric calpton was in derek and the dominoes xD

  • The original name of the band was "Eric and the Dynamos," but after it was mispronounced before a gig as "Derek and the Dominoes" they just decided to keep it. That make more sense?

  • fool it is derek and the dominos lol

  • has anyone told you that they are one in the same...

  • the opeoning riff you play is not 100 percent your missing a note or two befor you play the power chords but the power chords themselves seem good to me

  • First riff is wrong at the end, u missed an open string.

  • that is not layla

  • It's the firt "layla", not the unplugged version.

  • whts the the best amp setting to get the best sound for the song

  • try a fender vibrochamp xd, it has the setting of the amp eric clapton used when recording. all volume, no distortion pedal, let the tubes take over.

  • Does anyone knows if this song appears in any old cartoon from the 90's or something.

Because I'm 15 and I'm sure that I have listened to it in my childhood and I can't find out when.

  • It was used in Vauxhall adverts, late 80's - early 90's.

  • perhaps goodfellas? its not a cartoon but thts wher i heard it

  • good fellas. the mofia, ganster movie i think

  • ain't stupid, i don't need luck

  • you screw up the riff when you play it at normal speed (not in the step by step part)

  • i think that the pulloffs at the beggining are played too fast making a weird gap between 'em and the following power chords =/ im not pro so dunno xD but i think so ^^;

  • Lol yeah i dont know what i do wrong, but i realised i played it wrong. O well :)

    x

  • google ultimate guitar and youll find tab for ANY song you can think of

  • yeah, that's the best site i found, lots of tabs

  • Only problem is.. 95% of them I wrong.. some are close enough.. some are dead on.. but not many.. I have better luck just learing the thing myself or looking hear first...lol

  • Lmao is that it

  • thanks man!

  • You Play It To Fast

  • very helpful

  • Thats the very intro but where in hell gd is Claptons HIGHER PART??? (Starting at 10th fret on B string) I'd like to see technigues for that.

  • Tabs does the trick ^^ Thanks a bunch

  • realy helpful

  • Lol thats not true, its definatly the electric one hahahaha

    Fking bullshit.

  • i minute u say its the wrong tabs, the next you say its the same but diff tempo...? this is the correct way mate, say no to crack ;)

  • he's right about the tempo. sound quality is bad also but that doesn't have to do with your guitar skills.

  • what guitar u use

  • Its an Ibanez SA Series :)

  • thanks you :)

  • T-H-A-N-K Y-O-U finally I can play this.

  • No worries :D

  • Layla is by Eric Clapton, jfyi

  • derek and the dominoes was claptons band that wrote layla

  • lol??? he maybe be wrote it, but it was first performed by Derek and the dominos! wich eric was a part of...

  • Don't forget Duane Allman >_>

  • ur hammerons/pulloffs are a little off when u play full speed

  • It seems to me that you have the wrong tone on th intro. It's one part wich i think should be a bit higher

  • Thanks for making this! I love this song and thanks to you, I now know how to play the main riff! Great job dude! :)

  • wicked man, this helped me alot u rock! XD

  • it's great thanks man it's a very good video to use with the training on the song:)

  • good job mate.... only negitive feedback i can give is keeping time, you're out of time on the hammer on's but fine on the power chord slide's... thats it made... keep it up!!!

  • Thanks for the advice and support XD

  • keep it up dude.

    You`re doing a good job.

  • thx man!!! u helped me so much!!!

  • for all the a holes out there who criticize this video, shut up your stupid. This kid is very talented for his age. And i dont see you posting a video of this, probably just some pricks

  • Cheers =] Im 14 now :P

  • gotta love jerks like billis

  • Instead of giving me lots of abuse, id just like to say i filmed this wen i was 12.

  • Never worry too much about the criticism. If you did that at 12, then I'd say by the time you are 17 a lot of these same "critics" might want your autograph. Just keep on rockin!

  • Haha quality, cheers bud.

  • Bad teacher, the timing not right... C+

  • you have the notes right, but slow the chords down a lil, and the first 7 notes a lot. just listen to the song, and you'll get it. rock on

  • Really good lsson.

    A+ from me!

    Regards Jon.

  • Köszi :P Sikerült megtanulni xD Clapton is GOD :)

  • really helped me to pick up the riff - thanks :-)

  • do you have the tabs for the whole song ???

    also this helped me alot

  • Umh..

  • focus more on timing;)

  • sounds good but you got the timing all wrong dude.

  • wads the numbers means??

  • its tabs you. lots simpler and easyer than real music

  • its called a guitar tabulature, or tab for short. notice there are six lines, which shows each string, and each number tells which fret to hit. ;)

  • hi this was great! do you know how to play the unplugged version too like cud you post a vedio with the same tabs at each part ive been trying to find the unplugged version too and how to play that. Thanks again for your hard work

  • Ok, ill see what i can do :D Subscribe to me plz thanks for the support.

    Alex

  • Acually I was wrong, sorry

  • I belive on the power cords (Sorry if incorrectly labeled) I think you need another set of 5-7-7 at the start, Thats what it sounds like you play, and that is how I play it very good though, helped me

  • yeah this is pretty good. thanks, man. i finally have it! lol.
