The last star I was impressed with as much as I am Ralph Macchio was Patrick Swayze. I am happy to see he's a decent man who has not fallen into the Hollywood habit of marriage and divorce, nice to see a star who is one on screen and off. I would love to see more of him, so producers, we need a new leading man in the movies.

Stop ripping apart the judges for giving your favorite lower scores than someone else. They ARE professionals at this and they know what they're doing. I love Ralph, and this was a good dance, but it did have technical mistakes. The score he got wasn't too shabby anyway.
Can anyone make out what Ralph says after Carey Ann says to him that "this is the most fun I think you have had"? He says something like, It's nice that people.... then I can't make it out. First of all, are any of you proffesional ballroom dancers? No. Have you choreagraphed dances for the biggest pop stars? No. So stop badmouthing the judges and get over yourselves. It is obvious that Hines and Kym and Chelsea and Mark are a million times better than Ralph, and even though I like him and think he is a great actor, his fans can't save him this time. Ralph most definitely is more talented than Kirstie Alley is, and yet the judges loved her blundering across the stage each week. It was wild. He usually has stronger technique. It moved so fast, it was hard for him to maintain control. The choreography was not good, and the butt pad was a bad move. No wonder they took him off the show.

Bruno is HUGE part of what makes this show work! His over-the-top exuberance makes the review by the judges interesting. What character and personality! His comments are as detailed and thoughtful as those of the other judges...just expressed in an imaginative,entertaining way! Regarding his offensive comment-it's much harder for a non-American to pinpoint the level of offense taken with each and every word! Some bleeped words are in common usage and others are offensive. Who can sort it out?
Ralph has had some wonderful dances (great foxtrot), but IMO his movements don't seem to be one with the music, even when his steps are perfect. Kirstie certainly DOES have that special musicality and dances with her body and soul, so who cares about a few missed steps...in that I agree with the expert guest judge from Ireland -- she's uplifting to watch . At this point in the competition, it's really splitting hairs -- I'm sorry to see Ralph go and all of this week's couples were fantastic!
From everything I've seen on this show, this dance seems pretty normal. I didn't see anything vulgar in it. I even thought it was not sexy. It was really fun. Look at Mark and Chelsea salsa. The steps are at the same level of Karina and Ralph.
People love drama and sensationalism and always want to tread on and put others down.
The judges wanted to burn Ralph and Karina, that is clear and simple truth. It has nothing to do specifically with this dance.
Whether you supported Ralph and Karina or not. The way the judges acted and what they said was totally uncalled for. The entire season, with the exception of the first night they have been very critical of Ralph. No he was not the best dancer but he gave it his all week after week. I have seen them praise people for this and reward people for this but even when he was injured they were not kind with the marks.........very disappointed in the show this year.

I'm still upset about Ralph getting the boot in DWTS. Bruno was so far out of line, he should be booted off the show. The dance routine wasn't great for so late in the competition. The thing is, Ralph is the boy next door, not a sex symbol, so I think he was trying too hard. But in no way, shape or form did they deserve to be ripped apart the way they were. You can deliver criticisms in a more respectful way.

@agverdict I'm trying to underrstand the verbal attack on Ralph and Karina. What does committment have to do with old manLen's personal opinion? What did Bruno call Karina? Was he jealous that she was with Ralph and not him? These two judges should be professionals and be committed to the jobs they are fortunate to have. It's over. They got screwed. I could see this result yesterday but still it leaves bitter taste in my mouth. I know Ralph is not the best dancer of the season, he will get eliminated sooner or later and basically I don't hate any of the other three. But most of all, the way the judges have been playing favourites and grudges in whole season ruined the beauty of the game in my eyes :(.
@gevoks This season was a very tough one because no constestant is comprehensively strong enough to be a consistent forerunner. The earlier weeks were very unpredictable and that made the competition exciting and interesting. In such situation I've hoped that the judges would render even-handed judgments they could regarding the merits and potential of the constestants to pick out the most deserved. But they didn't judge, they manipulated instead and that's really disappointing :(.

sheilapiglet", Ralph is DEFINITELY better than Hines (take from a pro dancer myself). Ralp moves his hips and upper body, as Hines just lets Kym compensate for his inabilities. Review Hines in his Salsa with Kym and compare their legs (hers are much higher than his), and his upper body is braced as if he is about to be tackled. I was not surpised how the judges scored Ralph, as it has been that way for weeks. Notice Kym didn't get "docked" by her neck injury but Ralph did for his leg.
@spartacusnv regarding being "docked" for injuries, the judges are only supposed to judge the stars. Ralph is the one who was hurt and he is the one being judged. Kym was hurt, but they don't judge Kym (but it didn't have any affect on their dance anyway)
@spartacusnv: I agree with you completely. There are different salsa styles, Latin and American, then each with its spin-offs. In Ralph there's the basic 4 beat steps of the american salsa; in HInes you see nothing, American or otherwise. The don't understand the judges comments about Ralph's technique and style, it was there. With Hines performance there's little style and absolutely no technique yet he gets the pass. Kym with her injury is doing most of the dancing. Go figure!!!!
@spartacusnv: One extra comment about the salsa. I learned and always did the mambo so when I first saw the salsa my first thought was "that's the mambo". I then figure the difference was the 4-beat basic steps. In the mambo the hold or pause step is on the first beat, in salsa it's on the fourth beat. But they both have Cuban origin. I do ballroom dancing, not a pro like you. I prefer the international Latin style and lean to American in ballroom.
The judges were overly harsh with Ralph. It's always hard to attach motives to behavior, but it certainly seemed to me that they were trying to insure Kirsty would make it to the finals (would that result in John Travolta being in the audience?).
I don't know what all the buzz about Karina's costume is, I think it was Julian who wore a shorter version of this same costume, and about the dance, I'm from one of the most salsero countries, Colombia, and all the steps were there, he had plenty of rhythm, and they deserve so much higher scores, I mean he's not Latin or anything but it was good... and Bruno from the diaper comment to the pussy one was just rude and so trashy, even trashier than Karina's costume

First of all, are any of you proffesional ballroom dancers? No. Have you choreagraphed dances for the biggest pop stars? No. So stop badmouthing the judges and get over yourselves. It is obvious that Hines and Kym and Chelsea and Mark are a million times better than Ralph, and even though I like him and think he is a great actor, his fans can't save him this time. So STOP saying it's the judges fault.

@SuperLexalicious You make a fair point with Chelsea and Hines (which I totally agree with), but you left out a very important piece of the puzzle. What about Kirstie Alley? Ralph most definitely is more talented than Kirstie Alley is, and yet the judges loved her blundering across the stage each week. Sure, her fanbase is also much stronger, but it's obvious the judges are biased.
Those judges had it out to get Ralph. It wasn't his best dance, but a 21 was just insulting.

I join the ones who say that they are tired of this nasty show. I can't believe that Bruno would make that diaper remark - okay, it was a bad idea but still - and then the p word. Really? In front of a room full of people - some kids. Was Ralph's kids there? I can't believe that Bruno has gotten so nasty. I used to dislike Len because of his rude comments but he is tame compared to Bruno. Get him off the show or there won't be any stars wanting to come there and no fans to watch the show.

I really love Ralph macchio, but I can't bear to watch this. I just skipped to the package about his family and then to bruno's comment cause I was curious. I can't bear seeing Ralph acting like this because I think he is so much better than that and should respect himself more. Also, I think he and Karina should stop blaming the judges. Bruno is HUGE part of what makes this show work! His over-the-top exuberance makes the review by the judges interesting. What character and personality! His comments are as detailed and thoughtful as those of the other judges...just expressed in an imaginative,entertaining way! Regarding his offensive comment-it's much harder for a non-American to pinpoint the level of offense taken with each and every word! Some bleeped words are in common usage and others are offensive. Who can sort it out?

Ralph has had some wonderful dances (great foxtrot), but IMO his movements don't seem to be one with the music, even when his steps are perfect. Kirstie certainly DOES have that special musicality and dances with her body and soul, so who cares about a few missed steps...in that I agree with the expert guest judge from Ireland -- she's uplifting to watch . At this point in the competition, it's really splitting hairs -- I'm sorry to see Ralph go and all of this week's couples were fantastic!

From everything I've seen on this show, this dance seems pretty normal. I didn't see anything vulgar in it. I even thought it was not sexy. It was really fun. Look at Mark and Chelsea salsa. The steps are at the same level of Karina and Ralph.
People love drama and sensationalism and always want to tread on and put others down.
The judges wanted to burn Ralph and Karina, that is clear and simple truth. It has nothing to do specifically with this dance.

Whether you supported Ralph and Karina or not. The way the judges acted and what they said was totally uncalled for. The entire season, with the exception of the first night they have been very critical of Ralph. No he was not the best dancer but he gave it his all week after week. I have seen them praise people for this and reward people for this but even when he was injured they were not kind with the marks.........very disappointed in the show this year.

I'm still upset about Ralph getting the boot in DWTS. DWTS did a good video clip showing his life & being a wholesome family man,then they busted this salsa which was hard to watch, was thinking here is Ralph's wife in the audience & Karina is giving him a lap dance ?the whole concept was horrible to me,but still supported them by voting every which way I could think of. Bruno was so far out of line, he should be booted off the show. The dance routine wasn't great for so late in the competition. The thing is, Ralph is the boy next door, not a sex symbol, so I think he was trying too hard. But in no way, shape or form did they deserve to be ripped apart the way they were. You can deliver criticisms in a more respectful way.

It was clear that the judges didn't want Ralph and Karina in the final. It was shocking, embarrassing and humiliating. While they praised the others, they put Ralph and Karina down in both dances. Why? They were great!

It's over. They got screwed. I could see this result yesterday but still it leaves bitter taste in my mouth. I know Ralph is not the best dancer of the season, he will get eliminated sooner or later and basically I don't hate any of the other three. But most of all, the way the judges have been playing favourites and grudges in whole season ruined the beauty of the game in my eyes :(.

@gevoks This season was a very tough one because no constestant is comprehensively strong enough to be a consistent forerunner. The earlier weeks were very unpredictable and that made the competition exciting and interesting. In such situation I've hoped that the judges would render even-handed judgments they could regarding the merits and potential of the constestants to pick out the most deserved. But they didn't judge, they manipulated instead and that's really disappointing :(.

sheilapiglet", Ralph is DEFINITELY better than Hines (take from a pro dancer myself). Ralp moves his hips and upper body, as Hines just lets Kym compensate for his inabilities. Review Hines in his Salsa with Kym and compare their legs (hers are much higher than his), and his upper body is braced as if he is about to be tackled. I was not surpised how the judges scored Ralph, as it has been that way for weeks. Notice Kym didn't get "docked" by her neck injury but Ralph did for his leg.

@spartacusnv: I agree with you completely. There are different salsa styles, Latin and American, then each with its spin-offs. In Ralph there's the basic 4 beat steps of the american salsa; in HInes you see nothing, American or otherwise. The don't understand the judges comments about Ralph's technique and style, it was there. With Hines performance there's little style and absolutely no technique yet he gets the pass. Kym with her injury is doing most of the dancing. Go figure!!!!

@spartacusnv: One extra comment about the salsa. I learned and always did the mambo so when I first saw the salsa my first thought was "that's the mambo". I then figure the difference was the 4-beat basic steps. In the mambo the hold or pause step is on the first beat, in salsa it's on the fourth beat. But they both have Cuban origin. I do ballroom dancing, not a pro like you. I prefer the international Latin style and lean to American in ballroom.

Look, I hate Karina's costume as well, but Bruno's comments were uncalled for and disgusting. Professionalism is something he needs more of.
