but there are good days! I now wait till my husband can watch the kids so i can shop alone. Sam is recieving all sorts of therapy to help him. For the young ones therapy works well.
My son had very high a level of intolerance and frustration, I could not even go out on the street without him having a big tantrum, we could not leave home, because he always wanted to shed under cars.
What has helped us a lot was "changing behavior" therapy. The therapist is very strict but very loving, has been hard, many tears and anguish, but we are seeing the results. My child is now much better, we can even go out and buy or to restaurants, but has cost us blood, sweat and many tears.
You know I was in the same boat as you. I am not hear to give advice or to give you a happy story as he gets older. I know about almost losing it (my mind).
My son is severely autistic & non verbal. He is 16 now. Believe me I know.
My heart goes out to you. and your son. I have Multiple Sclerosis, but my symptoms PALE in comparison. God Bless you dear lady. I hope you (both) get the help you DESERVE and need.
Wow. The next time I see child screaming in Wal-mart, I won't be so quick to judge the mom's parenting ability. It might be something they can't help. This video gave me a new perspective!
I really don't know much about autism but it seems like a difficult thing to manage. I am also sure at times its hard to see your child having to deal with this. Hang in there...the best you can at least. I wish I could give ya a hug haha
the same thing used to happen to us
in public..how do you explain to people
when a sixteen year old has a tantrum like a two year old .the looks are unbelievable
