  • I have always wanted a antique pump organ but tryin to find one that works is a major problem and finding one that one can afford is another problem,,,

  • Timbre is amazing, I go on bandcamp.com all the time, but i never would have found it if i didn't happen to be looking up pump organs. Awesome.

  • I love this. Thanks for posting. Wish I owned it.

  • @Bomberzone1745 oh pls you know deep inside im right and youre wrong. Oh also I forgot, men are always right women are always wrong, so yea I win. Now hit the treadmill

  • @Bomberzone1745 get a husband you overweight cow

  • @Bomberzone1745 god you look so ugly sitting there barefoot pedaling that organ lol take ur stupid cow ass in the kitchen and make ur husband a sandwhich.. Oh wait, what husband? what man wants to sleep with an ugly ass overweight white woman who has an organ in her room.

  • people who play organs are sad pathetic fat white folk with no lives who are weird and anti social

  • Thanks for this posting. It's good to know that there are still people out there who appreciate the reed organ. (By the way, please help to kill the wretched name, 'Pump Organ.' Reed organs come in 2 basic kinds: 1/ The American Organ (like yours) which works on suction and 2/ The Harmonium, which works on pressure. Both make the sounds using brass reeds, like a mouth-organ.)

  • Are you married? :-D

  • wow that is pretty cool

  • i have one just like it

  • What brand is it

    I'm getting one tuesday

A 1881 new England organ company model

    You play very well

  • did you thank you husband????

  • I'm wanting to buy one I found in a local store, $250 for a 1895 pump organ.

Do you know if that's a good price? And if I get it, is there a guide to taking care of it and learning to play it anywhere?

  • Looks aren't everything, but tone is ;) . Please respect your organ, as im sure you will. and also i can agree with others who made the comment on the bellows, you may want to take a look at your pneumatic system and bellows, you shouldn't have to pump that much. I have a Mason and Hamlin pump organ that my great great grandfather purchased, and i hope he sees his money well spendb as his great great grandson is keeping it to par...

  • awesome. stationery accordion.

  • i like its nice can u do a close up on your toes pumping the pedals please

  • Looks good! hope you didn't pay too musch for something that needs repair, though they all need repair...

  • Gostaria de assistir outros vídeos com este tipo de orgão tocado por garotas PEDALANDO DESCALÇAS ! Quem possuir estes vídeos agradeço me enviar . OBRIGADO ! ! !

  • wow.....thats a workout!!!! beautiful playing

  • I love it too!

  • Yep, patch those bellows up ducks, you should be louder than that at 1/3 the speed.

(Don't tell anyone I said this but if you hook up a vacuum cleaner to the box under the keys you won't have to pedal any more)

  • i dunno someone has probably commented this already. ok lady i have some reedorgan reparation experience and i have to tell you that you def need to fix up those bellows..

    nice play btw.

  • looks a better then mine its way shorter but its got a mirror

  • beautiful pedaling!!!

  • I play fast on mine all the time. It's quite possible - even gets easy! But when I switch from piano to pump organ, I always need time practicing to adjust my fingering style, otherwise it's not as 'full' and satisfying a sound. I'm sure you'll see. Just keep playing. Don't let it discourage you. Parts of my bellows are patched with masking tape and it's quite effective. You should open it up and look a little - you'd be amazed what you might be able to do......?

  • Yes, fast notes are hard! Look into organ technique. You have to try to hold the notes down as long as you can, when you want them to sound more, even for fast notes, even overlapping slightly, and to bring a note out more, like an accent, since you can't just strike harder, you let go of the note right before it a little early. etc. etc.....you'll get it - you love it!!!

  • I love the sound, except for the squeak of the pedals ... ^_^ ... but great playing... &#9829

  • i think the peddals might need a little WD-40

  • mmmm there are only wood parts involved not metal think before making a comment wood usually makes that noise

  • lucky you!! nice sound, can I go to your house to play it? I am in Spain XDDD

  • haha, too bad. but you live in a MUCH more beautiful place, so I hope you enjoy it there!

  • can i have the sheet music please

  • sorry dear, I learned it by ear, from listening to the recording... sorry. you can probably find it somewhere?

  • You are awesome, I just picked up a pump organ and I love that piece. I want to learn to play that song. great job!!!

  • Hello. I have just fallen in love with you.

  • Nice to find someone who shares my passion for pump organs! I've been in the process of trying to find one for myself. To bad you don't hear them in a lot of music. Grant Lee Buffalo uses them. Do you know of any albums that uses them?

  • The Norwegian rock band, Kaizers Orchestra, uses a pump organ.

  • so what, you just forgot about your piano?

jk sounds nice. were can i get an organ?

  • I just got a Thompson pump organ. It must be pumped rapidly and dies away quickly. Anything you can tell me about this brand? It has some labels missing from the stops...what might they be called?

  • just today I saw something just like this at an antique store. I wanted it so badly. but it was like $1000. great instrument. I like the pump sound of organs and accordions and such.

  • It would be nice if we could see it. Vid Cams on auto do not take good shots. You definitely have a leak. You should not have to pump so fast - or you are overpumping. You tell nothing - who made it? When? You definitely have a leak it should not die so soon. Sounds nice

  • my goodness, has this been restored yet? you shouldn't have to pump near that fast. it's a beautiful instrument!

  • more playing barefoot;)

  • It is a lovely instrument, indeed.

  • haha, you are pumping like crazy!! :D

Seriously, you should check for leaks, this can't be normal (except if all the stops are open).

It is a beautiful instrument indeed though.. but I wouldn't try a slow ballad on this one.. ;)

  • even if all stops are open you schould be able to play easily with one foot....

it should get hard if you wanted all notes and stops to play at once....

    This organ definately needs restoration...

  • i just played a pump organ today so i thought i would search for one

    they are so loud!!!

  • I put a pillow in mine so the neighbors would leave me alone. Might help.

Theres usually a billion old pump organs on Craigslist too.

  • well its not mine its my violin teachers what do the knee pedal things do?

  • right thigh pedal is for "Forte", left thigh pedal is to open all the stops.

  • I love that song! Did you learn it by ear?

  • yup. I figured it out on piano first. Its a lot easier to play the hard parts on it

  • I can tell that old pump organ was not meant to be played ANYTHING fast on it. But it does sound like you do give it a good workout!

  • You found that for $300?! That seals it! You were somehow meant to have it. Sounds great.

  • OH YEAH! I remember you had a bulletin post about finding a pump organ. I recently got a portable one off ebay, myself

  • haham yeah, I'm timbre. I put this up for my little sister to see while she was in italy. awesome. I really want a portable one now. that's my next project... I'd like to use one for live shows... yet another huge instrument to lug around.

  • yes, the repercussion of choosing classical music. Maybe in 5 years you'll become an ultra-minimalist and go on stage with only a drum machine and microphone

  • @SheIsTheLadyAmalthea the closest thing you can get to a portable one is an instrument called a harmonium, which you need to pump up with you hands now and then if you do not have a friend to help you. Other options include learning accordion... But lets not go there. Nice organ.

  • @jonnda Wait a moment... a portable foot pedal organ already exists. look up the video QPMkvcy0Dy8, "Nautilus Pump Organ - Objects of Wonder"

  • whoa, are you Timbre?

  • Wow, wonderful playing from your part, especially when you consider it is a bit difficult to play these type of organs. Do you think that the camera could focus a bit closer on your beautiful feet on the pedals?

  • thank you very much. hah, beautiful feet? not quite sure what you're talking about...

I filmed this for my little sister to see while she was away in italy, so I didn't really try to make it look very nice. the camera was just propped up on my couch... ha...

    thanks for the commet

  • dont respond to lamepiemujer he probibly has a foot fetish.

  • ::smile:: thanks!

and in answer to your question, I bought this beauty for $300! can you believe it??? It was a gift from God. I'm SOOO happy.

  • How much did that cost to buy that pump organ?

  • oh, I didn't notice you could reply... ha... I'm new to this whole youtube thing. But yeah, it was $300. Crazy! its worth so much more...

  • WOW! What a deal!

  • Sounded great!! It would be nice to see you play a pipe organ with a full pedal board barefoot!

  • lube your organ.
