Dead Space is by far the best game i played to date, I mean I played some pretty epic games, Uncharted comes straight to mind, but dead Space beats it, for one reason, it actually made me scared, no game has EVER scared me before dead space, also it was the first game i ever platinumed, not too sure who cares about trophies/achievments, but it was good enough i wanted to do everything i could in the game, hence why i got all the trophies. such a good game.
The best thing for me was that Issac is just a normal guy. In Doom, Resident Evil, Halo or any other shooter, your a marine or cop or something. Your expected to kick ass because your trained to. Issac is just an engineer in the wrong place at the wrong time and the whole universe has no expectations of him.
so right with the paranoid thing.The only place in this game where I felt safe was the store and the bench, AND THEY STILL FUCK WITH YOU THERE! I remember just chilling, and upgrading my plasma cutter at a bench, and when I get off it, boom! Necromorph right there behind me. Such a great jump scare. Great job EA Redshore!
The only thing I didn't like about Dead Space (and also Dead Space 2) was that you cannot cut enemies anywhere you want. They can't only be cut around the joints. It should be like in MGS Rising where you can literally cut anywhere you want and watch people or object being divided into two parts with the right angles and physics and everything.

When your walking around in dark and hear something your like "FUCK WHATS THAT" you turn around and look... Then just as you calm down and turn around again you see some ugly mother f***er.... As you said, there is little in the way of new content in new game+, I would have liked new areas and new enemies to balance out the fact that you're much stronger than you normally would be. 2. A problem for many shooters, you keep encountering the same weak enemies over and over, enemies should be upgraded after the first area or two after encountering them, and only their upgrades encountered after that point, to keep the game's enemies from getting routine.

I personally loved the Hunter. Some of the most intense memories of ANY survival horror game that I've played included an unbeatable enemy that constantly stalked and tried to kill me. It's like dealing with Nemesis all over again.

I loved Dead Space and I agree that companies should look at this game to remind themselves on the way horror games should feel and play. Capcom needs to sit in the front row taking notes. However I'm going to wait on Dead Space 2. Too many great games are releasing in 2011, and personally, Dead Space 2 isn't in my top 10.
I can't wait for this game to come out. I have Dead Space 2 Collector's Edition Pre-Ordered on PS3. I was a part of the beta so i can say that the online is amazing. I will be playing this game all day on day 1.
@ImperviousMason Yeah, but it still didn't feel right. It would go from extremely sensitive to not very when you ADS. You also had to put up with screen tearing because you couldn't put on vSync or your mouse would lag :P. Still, awesome game. Proberbly in my Top 5 of all time.
