seriously, why Advent? First, TEC's technology is more Human-like. Second, the voice acting is low male (which suits the TEC) => completely different from Advent's.

@zzxcvb98 The TEC wasn't blatantly xenophobic. Advent were of the same species, and the TEC was attacked by the Vasari. And apparently no one had any problems with the apparently evil "corporate oligarchy," which enjoyed around a millennium of peace before the events of Sofas. The TO had next to no military before the Vasari arrived, so they weren't keeping power with force.

Meanwhile, the Advent use their psychic powers to control their citizens and held a grudge for 2000 years.

in the intro cutscene, the tec narrator strongly approved of his ancestors' decision to exile the pre-advent civilization (1000 years ago, not 2000), showing that they are still xenophobic. the fact that the advent are human is irrelevant; the tec feared and kicked them out merely because their society was "deviant".

also, the tec use radioactive warheads to curtail civilian population growth on planets they attack, and send propaganda, "cultural monopolization", and "addictive consumerism"

The Advent are human, but they were banished from Trader Space because of their deviant beliefs and advances in psionic abilities. At least that's what the background story says. Personally, I think the background story is crap. The game would've been better if they hadn't bothered to give one. I ignore it completely.

In terms of the game though, there are 3 types of colonisable planets: Ice, desert and terran. While it is a false usage, that's what the game uses to class it and so what we have to use. Also for the video, shouldn't Earth be a TEC planet?
