I find it interesting that there was a pool not 12 feet away from there. Why not move him over that. Why wasn't there a back up rig, a net, or something. It looks like safty wasn't to heavy on their minds, and now they don't have the balls to come clean. They were the ones responisble for the safety of the person, they failed miserablly.
First off joe didn't make the equipment that failed. Second not one of you were on the crew, not one of you know what happened with the rigging or the equipment, so, not one of you know what you're talking about. Other then the mishap they had a flawless show with way more dangerous acts.
We are trained professionals we know the risks before we ever attempt an act and we train for the worst case scenario everyday and they proved themselves through their actions when they were faced with it!
I'm not the person in nor the person who shot any of the videos, I just compiled them onto my page so there was one area with all the clips instead of having them all scattered. However, I would like to know what actually happened then since there are many diff rumors going around. It would be nice for someone to actually explain what really went wrong then.
I went to this convention and it was awesome, is a shame that on saturday this guy fall to the concrete...I believe many things were wrong as desaad37 says, but it happened and i just wish prompt recovery to the guy ...the suspension on friday was AWESOME!! the had 3 guys, tehn two girls by the knees and then the christ suspension, all in one human movil, i hace videos if u want them posted let me know!
God I love Suspension. Went to a Suspension Convention last september, hope their having it again this year. hope the guy is doin ok, I've seen people rip before, but sounds like he was mostly hurt from fallin.
This is not the x games. This is a SPIRITUAL art that has been passed down through tradition to keep the roots of this sacred art secretive. If you are going to take a take a 300 pound person and hang them from flesh hooks then you should take responsibility for your actions. As far as "manufacturers defect" Joe Amato claims to manufacture his own hooks on his myspace page. So if you want to pass the blame, remeber who is really at fault. Be a man and say you were wrong.
And who's idea was the fishing line?? You can clearly see that's what broke.
