you don't, you use the pc speaker output, i say you should buy the newer ones like rmix version or somthing like that, I have a pioneer x2 cdj-1000, costs around £1,399 and a mixer thats costs about £999, more money you spend the more you will get

I used to mess around using a crummy DM2 Mixman I got off Ebay and Traktor 2.6. The DM2 broke after a while cuz its a cheap piece of plastic. If I bought one of these Hercules things, would I be able to use it with Trakor, and how rugged does it feel to scratch with?

the console comes with a trial software, but if you look hard enough on youtube you can probably find the pro version cheaper than retail;). the sound quality is as good a your sound card is. I have a small $25 turtle beach usb card that gives you a 7 of 10 quality. Overall this system is awsome, definately get it

With that model there isn't an imput to monitor the next track... although if you buy the mk2, there is... Apparently if you buy a sound card theres a way you can monitor the next track..

As for sampling songs, yeah you can... also from your keyboard.

you can yeah, although it usually comes out as a wmv file (or something), rather than mp3... Best way to do it is copy the sound into movie maker and record onto cd from there.... No footage, just the mix you've made

Pretty good mix man, i would recommend Traktor Studio instead of Virtual DJ tho. I used to use Virtual DJ and when u get better u wanna use some more effects, Traktor Studio just offers more options for the more expierenced DJ and u are totally good enough.
