I believe you can accomplish much good for others through Compassionate Shoulders and know, too, that Ed is smiling down on you for the goodness you possess and wish to demonstrate. I believe Ed--and even you--are God's present-day examples from the Book of Job...adversity and sorrow overcome through faith, hope and love. Your Virginia friend, Ron Bell
I think this is a great idea. I have always been a person that people tend to tell me their problems and I feel good knowing I can lend a sympathetic ear. You should use this idea as your "hook" to get back on the radio. There must be a talk radio station in your area that could offer you a time slot (even just an hour at first, maybe once a week...and grow from there) You could take calls and play inspirational music etc. Just a thought.......
@pieguy3 I agree! plus, (and i kinda hate saying this) but there are always those people that actually like to read obituaries in the paper, so listening to a radio show of that sort would definitely fill the same niche for those people. you could def attract a crowed! great idea.
@wang222 I never understood why my folks and grandparents used to read the obits first when they got the newspaper. Now I look at them too, not first thing though....I read the news first. I must be getting old. Beats the alternative right????
@ejvmev Hi, Marion. sorry i have not been there for you as much as i would have liked lately. but you look so much better than you did a week ago it's amazing. that was an awesome dream you had about Ed. I'm sure he is with you at all times. have a great day and keep looking at the positive side of everything. bye
My grandmother, who has been a widow for about 30 years now has told me many times that my grandfather visits her in her dreams and talks with her and sometimes warns her about different things that are happening or will/might happen. She said those are the best dreams when she gets to spend time with him even though he's passed and been gone so long. I have no doubt that your beloved Edward will visit you again. I think he's probably very pleased with what you're doing helping others, too. :-)
You have found your Calling Marion. You certainly don't need my advice, but I feel I need to offer you this one tidbit....Stay Prayed Up, so you won't become overly sad or depressed after listening to others' burdens. Even Jesus needed to go up to the Mountain to get away from others in order to be totally alone with God. Marion, the love you exude is infectious. Thank you for sharing this new adventure with us. I am inspired to do similar in my own day to day life. Donna
