  • Damn...in April or May i will have a heart transplantation too and i so stupid because im waching those things...Im so damn scared about those things and i really hope everything will be ok:(

  • Coming from a 12 year old girl who has a father who has heart issues, I can understand what some people are going through. See, my father has had 3 heart attacks in the past 3 years, 1 Coronary Artery Bypass Graft, or CABG. He can't barely walk around a grocery store without having to take a Nitroglycerin (Sorry, don't know how to spell it) He takes around 16 medications per day and suffers Kidney Disease as well. I hope he gets a HT soon, but the doctors say that his KD is messing up his heart.

  • in theory yes stem cells would fix that.

  • stem cell treatment is used to rebuilt your damiged cells that cant be replaced. like cripples can some times use stem cells to help them walk. i honestly think stem cells could make it worse in your friends case but i dont know the details

  • if i was that guy or girl I would wanna die. i'm also a heart transplant also at the age of 16 and if I would die cause that heart then i go accept it. I hate my live now but everyone is different

  • I am Heart Transplant recipient!! I had my transplant almost 2 years ago. It was April 15, 2007. People ask do have different feelings? The answer is yes. Why? Because you have a new found look on life. It is your second chance at life. There are things I can't do now but enjoy alot of other things life can bring to me. There is so much I can say but don't have the space here to type about it. Live everyday like it is your last!!!!

  • @andrewfl2480 I am writing a novel about a girl who at age 22 has a heart transplant. Would you be willing to answer some questions I have about it?

  • @Newheart18 I think that a few reasons that people need heart transplants is because they have been eating really bad.

  • @tweety9102 thats so not true sure there maybe a few people out there who need heart transplant cos iof eating bed , but most of them its for reasons like they a born with a bad heart or there heart gets a virris or infection on it .

i had a transplant at 21 cos i was born with a bad heart and iv meet heaps of people whi have had transplant and not yet have i come across a person who had one cos they eat wrong

  • My husband has just been diagnosed with end stage heart failure and is being assessed for a transplant. Joke all you like but if it saves his life, it's worth it!

  • @lizkelso i wish him the best of luck

  • I have watched several of heart transplant surgeries but, my BIG question here is that "will the patient still have the same feelings"!!!!??!!

  • Really now.... Still made me chuckle, then held my head in shame..

  • Of course the patient will have the same feelings! It's in the head, all the heart does is pump blood around the body.

  • true.

  • i can tell u that the recipient still is themself after transplant they just have a 2nd chance at life and i know this as my 13 yr old had atransplant just over a year ago and had to wait on the berlin heart before a match came she lives each day to the fullest now and is thankful everyday to the doner family
