That is the great thing about music, it's universal. It can be portrayed in a variety of ways. It all depends on how you see it, but keep in mind that not every song can be seen through your lens...in regards to her, I think Kayla is an incredible dancer. She's truly magnificent.
Flautistnotflutist.... I'm SOOOOOO sorry If I spelled ur username wrong... But idk where to get that dress.. BUT I LOVE IT! it's SOO pretty.. I want one :]
Love the dance, hate the emotion. She is smiling through a song that is about an accident that is the cause of a drunk driver... Or at least that is my interpretation, even if it's not that plot, the subject matter is saddening. And she's all smiles, as a dancer she is supposed to tell the story not just execute the movements.
@iluvrainydays818 I tried to have a similar "discussion" with another individual. Sometimes people dance to the music (the beat / melody / rhythm..) of a song instead of the words. Example: Teddy Tedholme's audition to "Prague". Mia Michaels cried & said it reminded her of an unpopular kid who was bullied....which is what Teddy was trying to portray. However, the song is actually about stressing over going to an ex's wedding :-)
@mydancerocks She obviously has crazy talent. All I'm saying is that she didn't really portray it in this particular solo. She's a great dancer, but I didn't see it here.
@lovextaxi See, that's the problem with dancing these days. Our minds are all influenced by these competition girls who don't actually "dance" but instead showcase their talent merely in leaps, tricks, etc. Kayla's not doing any of that here but that doesn't mean she didn't display her talent. She's just dancing...
