  • Cold, I'm from "Rachacha" and only sound like this when congested.

  • he just sounds like he has a cold

  • ....retard

  • yea we dnt sound like this

  • It just sounds like a really exaggerated version of it, with a cold.

  • Wrong. This guy is just plain weird. This is an accent compared to the way normal Rochestarians speak.

  • sounds like he has a cold to me and I`m from Rochester

  • Sounds normal....

  • Is it wrong that he sounds normal to me?

  • More like a touch of the Fargo accent, not Rochester at all.

  • ya you're a fucking idiot, this isn't a rochester accent at all, this dude just talks like a retard. it's no wonder this video has very little views. you obviously need something better to do with your time

  • That sounds more like an accent from Eastern Canada to me.

  • @yurismir1 yeah i agree he sounds like hes from Moncton not Rochester lol

  • what Rach-chestrian would think that he haaas a Rach-hester aaakent?

  • he has a lisp not an accent, so stop trying to play rochesterrrrrr

  • It kinda does, but it sounds more connecticut to me.

  • That's not a Rochester accent.

  • That is so NOT a Roch'ster ax-unt.

  • this is not a rochester accent. it's something else.

  • I agree with redcomic...He's got the rahh chah chaw working but a heavy dose of Canuck as well, eh? hehehehe

  • His accent isn't that bad ... nowhere near as whiny and open-voweled as most Rochestarians.

  • More of a Canadian accent...

  • It's more of a Rochester, MN accent than any other accent I've ever heard, ahaha.

  • i have to agree he is wayyyy too nasaly to sound like one of us ..

  • Thts not a Rochestarian accent! If it was his vowels would sound wierd, I live in Rochester but it's not heavy and yu can still notice it.

  • this isn't the ontario canada accent!

  • This is not a Rochester accent....not even close!!!! Im from Rochester and live in Florida. I can pick out the western NY accent when I talk to people down here....this is not one of them!!!!

  • Not a Rochester accent. If I walked on the streets of my home town and heard ppl taliking like this I would die.

  • and he sounds waayy too nasally. i just wanna like unplug his nose or something!!

  • this is NOT a rochester accent!!

  • That's not Rochester's accent. I'm from Rochester. We have this hodgepodge of Candian, Bostonian, and British. The British is understandable b/c the city was founded by a Brit from Rochester, England oddly enough. The Canadian also fits because we're right across the smallest great lake from them. The Bostonian thing? I don't know where the hell it came from...

  • The vowels aren't Rochester. Weird, but not Ra-cha-cha. I'm a linguistics minor at college and my family moved to Rochester while I was in college, so when I come home, I do this whole dialect analysis thing because it's a WEIRD accent.

  • Anyone know who this guy is, or where he does news, now? I really want to see where he's from because I've never heard an accent like his. It almost sounds Canadian, but not enough. It's just damned strange is what it is.

I think I saw him reporting for some Philly station, now, but can't remember which one.

  • You quite obviously (and thats apparent)don't live in Rochester cuz this guy sounds NOTHING like a Rochesterian!!!!!!

  • I live in Rochester and he doesn't sound anything like anyone here. You're wrong.

  • sounds like the people in the movie Fargo to me

  • yeah - this is definitaly NOT a rochester accent nor a WNY accent. I live in Niagara Falls for 26years and this sounds nothing like what people sound like there!

  • I guess cause I've lived in rochester my whole life i don't hear anything different.

  • haha I'm from Rochester. We have like a nasally sound I guess

  • no no no...this IS a Rochester accent hahahah

  • Native Rochestarian here. I think he just needs a lozenge

  • I've lived in rochester all my life, and I can't even make most of the sounds he's making. It is truly a bizarre accent.

  • This is not a western New York Accent!!!!!!

  • I never noticed having any accent until I went to school in NYC, we have one and its great. You really cant tell until you hear everyone esle say things wrong!

  • i lived in rochester for 25 years and I don't think this is a Rochester accent

  • Haha... This is hilarious. They can never again linguistically group Detroit with Buffalo and Rochester if this is how you all sound. It's kind of cool, though, too.

  • from rochester and idk about actually having a real distinct accent, but we don't sound like anyone from jersey, or somewhere else

  • brian taffe!! hahahahaha

  • i think that people from rochester kinda sound like people from the mid west.

  • @TheCrimper I go to college in kentucky with a bunch of midwesterners and they sound nothing like us ..

  • i dont notice it, although i also probably hear people talk like this everyday

  • I'm from Rochester.... and... I don't know what to think... I can tell the accent is there.

  • I'm also from Rochester--no one sounds exactly like this. I think he either lived somewhere else or he has a speech impediment.

  • I don't notice any accent.

  • LOL, what The heck? I'm a Rochesterian and I find that highly exaggerated sounding. There's gotta be something else contributing to his dialect.

  • i live in rochester and i guess people tell me i have a strong accent but ive lived here all my life haha 8i dont notice it ut ik why i guess

  • ROCHESTER REPRESENT!!!!

  • wow, thats it alright, Hard whinny A's..

  • i really dont think he has an accent but then again im from rochester. i cant notice anything

  • What the fuck is so funny?

  • im from rochester also, and this guys accent is fairly noticeable even to me.

  • I'm from Rochester, there's no distinguishable accent here. I don't know why you think we have such a "funny" accent. What's more disappointing is the number of people out of state who fail to pronounce our city correctly with our accent!

  • ... I can't hear anything special about this. I hope I don't sound funny.

  • stuffy nose

  • My God This is the funniest thing I have ever seen! He sounds like Bert from Sesame Street. Is that really a Rochester Accent...I have never heard anyone with an accent that thick!

  • hahaha oh dear! I'm from Rochester and my 'accent' is not as thick as his. Good times
