@cheryl7davis ...storyline? It's a "retelling" of historical events. Not completely accurate, but retelling history. Considering how most somehwat-educated people know the story behind Marie Antoinette, I'm not sure if "predictable" is a valid complaint.
Dear saerilee, Yes...it is "re-telling" (even though a some what small account), but if you look at 'all' the history pertained to Marie Antoinette, you will learn that 'some' details are left out. I wrote predictable because all the hollywood films go with this script.

I felt sorry for marie antoinette and louis because yes they ere inexperienced for being king and queen of france. Not only that but people in the french court used to call marie antoine
After watching this movie, I have a whole new perspective on Marie Antoinette. It was not her fault that the revolution started, she was too young to become queen anyway! I feel like the situation they placed her in was unfair to ask of any 15-year old: to have a baby boy to become the heir to the Versailles thrown. She was too young to have such a huge weight placed on her shoulders, and she simply wasn't at a stage in her life where she was ready for all the responsibilities of a queen.
There was a whole context to this event it wasn't their fault, thing were going badly before they started to rule. For example: they were in no condition to help the USA, the crops weren't good for many years, there was much hatred towards the Monarchy and because of the bad conditions it kept growing every day larger, and finally the bubonic plague.
These were just some of the causes but this revolution was very important for many countries in America who freed them self’s, to become countries.
Get your facts straight people I take French history and Louis xiv the sun king spen his money building Versailles after realizing he was to good for Paris then Louis xv just made the situation worse . After all this louis xvi became the Heir of France and did nothing to help France
I actually quite liked this movie. The movie is titled Marie Antoinette for a reason, so, of course, the plot would be centered on her. We only see what she sees and become just as cloistered as her from the tragedies of the outside world covered by the frivolities.
There is only so much time a movie can spend on inaccuracies. But I think Coppola made up for it by making it an asset with the music and little modern tidbits added in. It makes things more relatable, I think :P
did the people of France view Marie Antoinette as an uotsider? wondering if she was never seen as a French even though she was the queen by marriage.
I know the crown mismanaged the funds, spent too much money and the economy was in a terrible shape but would people go after Marie just to take it out on her?
@katalina125 No. This woman was nicknamed Madame Deficit for a reason. She spent a lot of France's money although their economy was unstable. People were starving and she spent and she spent and she spent. Hell, she even gambled. She was an outsider and France disliked it, but they didn't hate her for that.
They were taken back to Paris, where the capital of France was before Louis xiv (yes, the fourteenth, not the one portrayed in the movie, who is Louis the sixteenth) moved his palace to Versailles. Once there, Louis and Marie attempted to escape, but were caught. Having lost the trust of the French people, Louis was promptly beheaded, with Marie following.

I've just seen the whole movie and if I didn't know anything about the French Revolution, I would say it was brilliant. But I love European history especially, the French Revolution and overall it didn't have all of the back ground details and the made Antionette nice and not bratty. Also they made Louis skinny when he was a big fato who was so fat they had to chop his head off a billion times because he was that fat. Who knew obesity began in France and not America!
'The ending is crap, they're supposed to show her being decapitated.'
Why should the film have to end on death? It's called "Marie Antoinette", not "The French Revolution". I think the ending was brilliant. It was so subtle, yet emotional. It didn't need the big death scene, all it needed was a last shot of MA's life gone to tatters.
The king wasnt supposed to be decapitaded, he was meant to stay king, with very limited power, but king and first of all alive...but he tried to escape and after that they chopped his and his family´s heads off...
They should make a sequel and it should cover what happened after where the movie left off with the executions and what became of Marie Antoinette's friends and Madame Du Berry, and the aftermath of they're deaths
@iEostre the movie focused on marie's life at versailles. however since the story plot is mainly non-fiction we all know that during the revolution of France both her and her husband got beheaded by the guillotine. Their son also dies because of how poorly treated he was in prison. Their daughter did live and technically became Queen of France for about 20 mins after the monarchy was reinstated and then abolished.
of course they blame the royal family and especially marie antoinette. Life as a peasant was hard in those days. You work a lot and get paid little. Marie used 6 to 8% of the money France had. Don't you think she could have spend a little less and give more money to the peasants? Louis shouldn't have given america so much money if he wanted to survive and used that money to help the poor. You have to agree to the fact that the revolution was the right thing to do in those days.
@QMSexy They did blame her, however the guy to blame was Louis XIV. the "Sun King" spent the most money out of the entire royal family, and left Louis XVI and Marie Antoinette with a shitty economy to deal with. Not to mention how young and inexperienced they both were (Louis was not THAT young, but he wasn't into the whole leadership thing).
@Imajoy94 Although the Sun King's legacy was part to blame, it wasn't totally out of Louis XVI's ability to turn it around. Queen Elisabeth I of England inherited an indebted kingdom, at a relatively young age (albeit not as young as Louis), due to the costly wars. And within 20 years her regime had cleared the kingdom of all debt. As a fiscal hardship to 'help the poor', she told the jeweller to stop sending diamonds.
Had they only not interfered in America, both Kingdoms would be better off.
@alexsau91 That's true, but a ruler had to actually know how to rule to turn his country around. Louis XVI wasn't really completely capable of even ruling, and it was said he may have had some mental issues. But you definitely have a point there.
@alexsau91 Elizabeth didn't have to deal with the insatiable French.
First they just wanted bread, then they wanted reform, then a constitutional monarchy, then the leaders of the rebellion turned against the people who wanted a republic.
There was no way to please them, they were just angry at the world and nothing could be done.
I don't blame the french for being driven mad by hunger, but I do think that they took things just a little bit too far. The king and queen were just teenagers and had no idea what they were literally thrown into. It wasn't their fault. And Louise was basically just going with whatever they told him was the best thing to do, bc he didn't know any better. I feel sorry for the royal family :(
For the people who wanted to see heads chopped off..Your disgusting! why would you want to witness such horror? I know this is a movie but this also happened for real.
@HotButterOnToast it was their support of the American Revolution that led them to poverty mostly.. but their lifestyle did have a small portion to do with it. and that is why the common people blamed them for it.. so look at it this way, had it not been for King Louis, america more then likely would have lost the war..
I see what you all are saying about the pros of not ending with the guillotine, but I think that ending the movie this way left a lot to be desired. You are supposed to tell every story as if no one has ever heard it before, and if I had never heard the story of Marie Antoinette and the French revolution, I would have had NO IDEA what just happened. They should have included her death in the film, or at least her capture. Her leaving peacefully and a ruined empty palace was just too little.
my dear american fellows who love to write comments about european history with such passion, noone is killed because they were too greedy or too vain , people are killed so that someone else will wear their shoes. europe killed their kings and queens or casted them away to have some other kind of rulers suckin up their blood and money. power corrupts no matter if its monarchy or not. but life is not fair , and the masses will always be looking for a "king" to have them feel sane, sane andinorder
I know that Louis and Marie Antoinette getting their heads chopped off was a really important part of history but, I don't think it would have fitted in with the movie at all. This movie was about Marie Antoinette's life, not about the French Revolution. Plus, the guillotine ending didn't need to be in this movie because EVERYONE knows what happened to them anyway.
I'll say that MA's story in this movie ended in the right place was but it was just too abrupt for it to have much impact.
i could see what the director was trying to do. marie should have had an accent & the rest a slight french tinge.
needed more of the poverty & unrest in people's homes etc. & streets.
it kept the same pace throughout so i didn't feel any manic spending or debauchery so the current day music was lost. maybe short fast scenes to hit the beat. moulin rouge nailed it. but i did feel they loved each other.
i wasn't really impressed by this movie. you got mary jane from the spider man movies playing as marie antoinette. i thought her performances in this movie were too blan. this movie just seemed like it could of showed more of the history really. and some of the actors didn't really show that much did care for their roles in this movie. For anyone wanting to look at a good Marie Antoinette Movie look at the 1938 version my oppion that version is better than this version
@KairiOnMuNimiXP unfortunately, they did die. Marie Antoinette seemed to suspect this, as you may have noticed when she bowed to the mob and then when she told her husband that she was saying goodbye to Versailles. They both ended up in jail, tried, and sent to the guillotine.
With the exception of the costumes, the music at the end was the only good thing in this movie. Even though the choice of music in this movie terrifies me.
Well, i have to say i was happy that the ending was just as off-course as most of the movie. I almost thought i was going to see the bad ending i KNOW would happen.
Seriously, has anyone seen 'The Other Boleyn Girl'? If you know your history, you know the ending of that movie. -_-"
Louis died in January 1793 by the guillotine (a large decapitation machine) Marie died a couple of months later in the same way. The Dauphin (Louis + Marie's son) died in prison of an illness that I can't remember, but their daughter survived the Revolution and married, but had no children.
You're welcome. Yes, I think they should have ended with a flash forward. It would have ended the film well.
However I have nothing against the ending at the moment. It's very deep the way Marie says "I'm saying goodbye." it's almost like she knew she was going to die, and I guess that's what I love so much about it. Very sad story. :(
your comments are equally insensitive as the mobs in the street.
Thank you for uploading this tragic time in French history. Louis and Marie were 2 people caught up in the tradition, culture and circumstance.
They were products of their time and one should refrain from judging them in the knowledge of the present and the results of of same. We are all products of our own times and experience...remember that! I saw this film when it first was released and enjoyed it very much.

So they killed the monarchy because the people were starving....maybe (the then)France should not have supported the revolution of America.... What a waste ! what a waste! and so it goes on now the people will kill whoever they think caused them to suffer whether it be true or note. Just lump it on the most convenient scapegoat.... poor Marie and Louis...poor France...
@Evelynngce88 It's a lot more complex than that. Supporting the US did increase the already large debt they had, but the American Revolution was not the sole or main reason for the Revolution. Louis XVI and MA weren't as innocent as this movie made them seem.
man what waste, over an hour watching this, and no guillotine, I was really looking forward to seeing their vacuous heads roll. they left out the best part!
For years i have studied the French Revolution -- but this is the first time i have seen it from the nobles point of view. I guess we think unjust people should be killed no matter what but we dont stop to think if they have people who depends on them or people to love.
@GabbGABB1990 clearly they didn't care for the people of france who watched their children die a torturous death of starvation, and malnutrition. Ted Bundy had people who loved, and depended on him, so friggin what?
When the people screamed for flour to make bread, they did nothing. They sat at their table laden with the finest food attainable, confident that they were insulated from the cares of the world, much as our own government thumb their nose at the will of the people.
It's wrong when people say that the Queen was oblivious to the poor's problems. She often gave to charity and was adored by the French. But she wasn't all too bright and she, as teenagers do, wanted to live a little. The King wasn't the right person to rule saldly, and the Queen was not the right person to be Queen. It was all the mistake of 'fate'. They were badly suited to the roles they were made to take. But they DID love each other very much, that is evident from their story.
I don't know where you got that the French adored her, but that is sadly wrong.
In case you forgot, the French took her possessions from her, stripped her of her power (even though she was a consort, who didn't have all that much anyway), jailed her as prisoner no. 280, accused her of molesting her child, treason, and depletion of the national treasury, and cut off that woman's head. The French did not like Marie Antoinette, she was the most hated woman of France.
@hellscradleVII You didn't read my comment properly. I said they adored her at first, which is 100% true. When she and Louis came to the throne, everyone rejoiced. I'm well aware she became a scapegoat for the monarchy during her reign with Louis.
Actually the King and Queen were loved by the aristocrats and a small percentage of the lower class. If they had been hated so much at the beginning of their reign, Marie and Louis' story would have been a whole lot shorter.
@theholyspirit11 That is true. I do feel sorry for women in her situation, They were pretty much just imported wombs with influence but no official political power. I mean, the woman had a villa where she could pretend to be a peasant , drinking milk out of porcelain cups, that was her idea of peasant life. It's hard to fully grasp how sheltered she was.
@PandaPawSmile "Charity" is vanity. It's how the rich soothe their consciences. Its like stealing $20 from someone and giving them back $5. If the monarchy had not been such parasites on the poor, they wouldn't need charity. Even if Antionette had been a better queen she still would have been a parasite.
1st - bad casting.....louie was supposed to be a fat stubby dude with a big nose.
2nd - important parts of the french revolution story line was either WRONG or not even mentioned......soooooo much stuff happened after they left the castle.
this was a waste of my time.......sad too......i expected better.
@SYKOPALF clearly this isn't a movie about the French revolution, its about her life right up until things started getting really bad, and it doesn't really matter how Louie looked the movie its call Marie Antoinette...its not really so much about him...
Wow! I just got back from Europe yesterday and when I was there we went to Versailles, It was so beautiful! But I hardly knew anything about the history, if I did i`d probably would have been more fasinated with everthing!

"Monsieur, je vous demande pardon. Je ne l'ai pas fait exprès". Truly Queen of Fashion beauty Parties and the finer things in life Marie-Antoinette Je T'aime :)
this was disapointing compared to the book the hidden diary of marie antoinette, glad i saw it here first before i bought it, i think i will just stick with the book, it is more interesting in so many ways.
I don't think the film was meant to show the end of Marie and her family's life. It was meant to show the earlier years - everything before they leave France. It was about the struggles/her clueless actions/not producing an heir right away.. etc stuff like that.
So wait this is a very dramatic ending but nothing after that when they are moved to Paris, their attempted escape, Louis' execution, and Marie's execution
A great, visionary film! shows really marie's side of the story with the music and everything. The tragedy of the people starving had been in the backround the whole time but it all came together in the end, especially that final picture!! I think the ending was perfect! Thaks romagirl for uploading!
Intresting film, I must say I did scan though the film, I kind of was disapointed, because well to me the film focased on how much money she spend and the fashion and the perks on beging a Queen and princess, I don't see a Queen in her, I see a young girl that loved cloths and money, I mean she did not even consider the imporance of the people, now I understand why people wanted to kill them, they truly lavished in there own world, a good film love the costums but over all I give it a 4.
@Hattaru I think thats what the director wanted to show, they were very young, they were only like 19. So of course they're going to spend their money and be stupid. But she supposedly also did very much care for the people, and did quite a lot of charity work. Not to mention, Louis grandfather had also already pretty much ruined france with his spendings.
@LaurenJai Don't you see the parallels with the mess of the American economy? Nobody cares that it was the representation of at least two successive Republican presidents and Congresses that got us in the mess we are now in... all that everyone harps on is we now have a black and Democratic president who cannot wave a magic wand and fix everything. Instead, all the blame is laid at Obama's doorstep
@jonwiley Sorry when was I going on about parallels between this and America? I'm british, I don't know anything about the american situation and I don't really care. My country have enough problems as it is.
@LaurenJai That's your insularity, and I wouldn't brag about it. Fact is the world economies are interconnected whether you realize it or not. I was drawing a parallel of how Marie was blamed for everything rotten in the French economy between how Obama (or any current leader) is held accountable for his country's ills; this isn't just an American issue as you'd care to think.
@jonwiley Of course its the same thing thats happening. Whenever there is a problem, we blame who's in charge. And I know that when America screws up it takes most of the world with it. But I have more important things to worry about. And how did you draw any of this from my Original comment, which simply talked about how Marie and Louis, were young and so lacked the proper experience and knowledge to rule.
@jonwiley the fact is he promised change, and has proven himself to be as much a banker whore as anyone else in D.C. He's had plenty of opportunity to set things in the right ditection. Instead, he appointed wallstreet insiders, and gave them the keys to the vault. Despite mountains of evidence of banker fraud, no indictments, or prosecutions. No, we just give them more money, and make the tax payer suffer the consequence for the elite bankers losses.meanwhile, people lose jobs, and homes. next
@pherronii This is getting off topic, but I will respond. Pres Obama has had a difficult administration. He's accepted the monumental task of cleaning up and righting the economic free-wheeling that went on for at least a decade before he came into office. Such ingrained poor spending habits -- both on a Congressional and individual level -- cannot be rectified or addressed in four short years. Unlike the French, we Americans cannot have a revolution, raze the status quo and begin again.
@jonwiley not defending repubs, or any other politico. like I said, he's had time to deal with the issues of fraud, instead, they will allow statute of limitations to run out. He wasted time on healthcare, he did not defend his position, and now we have the highest cost possible, that only benefits insurance. wasted time, he should have been dealing with the fraud. but no, he is no different from all who have come before. this country protects rich banks and corp. people be damned
Very abrupt and disappointing ending. The imprisonment, the failed family escape, the trial and the execution, and Marie-Antoinette's incredible courage and dignity during her ordeal, where is all of that?
This would be one of the worst period films were it not for the wonderful costumes and everything else that appeals to the eye. Nevertheless, anyone ignorant of what really happened would just think what this has portrayed about the young queen: only fun, food and fashion, and nothing more.
that ending was awful...what if someone didnt know the story?...i mean if ur gonna make a movie on a true person atleast get the whole thing out...no matter how awful it was......awful ending! like wtf....
it was a fun movie but i didn't learn anything about her that i didn't already know and the music was awful. Some scences dragged on and they seemed unscripted. Thoses parts were just mublings with her friends and children... i just didn't get those parts.
I'm a little disappointed that everyone is upset with the ending or was hoping to see her beheaded. I think the point of this movie is to show that she didn't deserve to be treated the way she was. It would be impossible to show all of the lies and rumors that were spread about her in this one movie. For e

They should make a sequel and it should cover what happened after where the movie left off with the executions and what became of Marie Antoinette's friends and Madame Du Berry, and the aftermath of they're deaths

Wait so, is she dead? they just showed a trashed room?
iEostre 4 months ago
@iEostre the movie focused on marie's life at versailles. however since the story plot is mainly non-fiction we all know that during the revolution of France both her and her husband got beheaded by the guillotine. Their son also dies because of how poorly treated he was in prison. Their daughter did live and technically became Queen of France for about 20 mins after the monarchy was reinstated and then abolished.
williammmxx 4 months ago
@stefmarie18
of course they blame the royal family and especially marie antoinette.
QMSexy 4 months ago 3
@QMSexy They did blame her, however the guy to blame was Louis XIV. the "Sun King" spent the most money out of the entire royal family, and left Louis XVI and Marie Antoinette with a shitty economy to deal with. Not to mention how young and inexperienced they both were (Louis was not THAT young, but he wasn't into the whole leadership thing).
Imajoy94 4 months ago 61
@Imajoy94 Although the Sun King's legacy was part to blame, it wasn't totally out of Louis XVI's ability to turn it around. Queen Elisabeth I of England inherited an indebted kingdom, at a relatively young age (albeit not as young as Louis), due to the costly wars. And within 20 years her regime had cleared the kingdom of all debt. As a fiscal hardship to 'help the poor', she told the jeweller to stop sending diamonds.
Had they only not interfered in America, both Kingdoms would be better off.
alexsau91 4 months ago
@alexsau91 That's true, but a ruler had to actually know how to rule to turn his country around. Louis XVI wasn't really completely capable of even ruling, and it was said he may have had some mental issues. But you definitely have a point there.
Imajoy94 4 months ago
@alexsau91 Elizabeth was better educated in the ability to rule than either of the two. That's why she could recover england.
WoodenRoller 3 months ago

@reinoheya Their lifestyle caused the death by starvation of many many peasants, that also happened for real.
HotButterOnToast 4 months ago

Alexthedare 5 months ago
my dear american fellows who love to write comments about european history with such passion, noone is killed because they were too greedy or too vain , people are killed so that someone else will wear their shoes. europe killed their kings and queens or casted them away to have some other kind of rulers suckin up their blood and money. power corrupts no matter if its monarchy or not. but life is not fair , and the masses will always be looking for a "king" to have them feel sane, sane andinorder
cRypT0cHiLd 5 months ago 8
I know that Louis and Marie Antoinette getting their heads chopped off was a really important part of history but, I don't think it would have fitted in with the movie at all. This movie was about Marie Antoinette's life, not about the French Revolution. Plus, the guillotine ending didn't need to be in this movie because EVERYONE knows what happened to them anyway.
I'll say that MA's story in this movie ended in the right place was but it was just too abrupt for it to have much impact.
foojuice101 5 months ago
i could see what the director was trying to do. marie should have had an accent & the rest a slight french tinge.
needed more of the poverty & unrest in people's homes etc. & streets.
it kept the same pace throughout so i didn't feel any manic spending or debauchery so the current day music was lost. maybe short fast scenes to hit the beat. moulin rouge nailed it. but i did feel they loved each other.
easily 30 mins chop.
a little disappointing.
it's so easy being an armchair director!

i wasn't really impressed by this movie. you got mary jane from the spider man movies playing as marie antoinette. i thought her performances in this movie were too blan. this movie just seemed like it could of showed more of the history really. and some of the actors didn't really show that much did care for their roles in this movie.

@TheMostFreakyGeek
Louis died in January 1793 by the guillotine (a large decapitation machine) Marie died a couple of months later in the same way. The Dauphin (Louis + Marie's son) died in prison of an illness that I can't remember, but their daughter survived the Revolution and married, but had no children.

@tzinanechumah

Evelynngce88 8 months ago 3
@Evelynngce88 It's a lot more complex than that. Supporting the US did increase the already large debt they had, but the American Revolution was not the sole or main reason for the Revolution. Louis XVI and MA weren't as innocent as this movie made them seem.

GabbGABB1990 9 months ago
@GabbGABB1990 clearly they didn't care for the people of france who watched their children die a torturous death of starvation, and malnutrition. Ted Bundy had people who loved, and depended on him, so friggin what?
When the people screamed for flour to make bread, they did nothing. They sat at their table laden with the finest food attainable, confident that they were insulated from the cares of the world, much as our own government thumb their nose at the will of the people.

BritneyFanatic100 9 months ago
It's wrong when people say that the Queen was oblivious to the poor's problems. She often gave to charity and was adored by the French. But she wasn't all too bright and she, as teenagers do, wanted to live a little. The King wasn't the right person to rule saldly, and the Queen was not the right person to be Queen. It was all the mistake of 'fate'. They were badly suited to the roles they were made to take. But they DID love each other very much, that is evident from their story.
PandaPawSmile 10 months ago 71
@PandaPawSmile I definitely agree with you. it's a shortcoming of monarchy then..
ruelf21 9 months ago
@PandaPawSmile
The French did not like Marie Antoinette, she was the most hated woman of France.
hellscradleVII 9 months ago
@hellscradleVII You didn't read my comment properly. I said they adored her at first, which is 100% true. When she and Louis came to the throne, everyone rejoiced. I'm well aware she became a scapegoat for the monarchy during her reign with Louis.

Actually the King and Queen were loved by the aristocrats and a small percentage of the lower class. If they had been hated so much at the beginning of their reign, Marie and Louis' story would have been a whole lot shorter.
annie10103 5 months ago
@PandaPawSmile
its not that the queen was not bright. it was just that nobody told her anything.
theholyspirit11 4 months ago
@theholyspirit11 That is true. I do feel sorry for women in her situation, They were pretty much just imported wombs with influence but no official political power. I mean, the woman had a villa where she could pretend to be a peasant , drinking milk out of porcelain cups, that was her idea of peasant life. It's hard to fully grasp how sheltered she was.
HotButterOnToast 4 months ago
@PandaPawSmile "Charity" is vanity. It's how the rich soothe their consciences. Its like stealing $20 from someone and giving them back $5. If the monarchy had not been such parasites on the poor, they wouldn't need charity. Even if Antionette had been a better queen she still would have been a parasite.

Hattaru 11 months ago
@Hattaru I think thats what the director wanted to show, they were very young, they were only like 19. So of course they're going to spend their money and be stupid. But she supposedly also did very much care for the people, and did quite a lot of charity work. Not to mention, Louis grandfather had also already pretty much ruined france with his spendings.
LaurenJai 10 months ago
@LaurenJai Don't you see the parallels with the mess of the American economy? Nobody cares that it was the representation of at least two successive Republican presidents and Congresses that got us in the mess we are now in... all that everyone harps on is we now have a black and Democratic president who cannot wave a magic wand and fix everything. Instead, all the blame is laid at Obama's doorstep
jonwiley 10 months ago
@jonwiley Sorry when was I going on about parallels between this and America? I'm british, I don't know anything about the american situation and I don't really care. My country have enough problems as it is.
LaurenJai 10 months ago
@LaurenJai That's your insularity, and I wouldn't brag about it. Fact is the world economies are interconnected whether you realize it or not. I was drawing a parallel of how Marie was blamed for everything rotten in the French economy between how Obama (or any current leader) is held accountable for his country's ills; this isn't just an American issue as you'd care to think.
jonwiley 10 months ago
@jonwiley Of course its the same thing thats happening. Whenever there is a problem, we blame who's in charge. And I know that when America screws up it takes most of the world with it. But I have more important things to worry about. And how did you draw any of this from my Original comment, which simply talked about how Marie and Louis, were young and so lacked the proper experience and knowledge to rule.
LaurenJai 10 months ago
@jonwiley the fact is he promised change, and has proven himself to be as much a banker whore as anyone else in D.C. He's had plenty of opportunity to set things in the right ditection. Instead, he appointed wallstreet insiders, and gave them the keys to the vault. Despite mountains of evidence of banker fraud, no indictments, or prosecutions. No, we just give them more money, and make the tax payer suffer the consequence for the elite bankers losses.meanwhile, people lose jobs, and homes. next
pherronii 9 months ago
@pherronii This is getting off topic, but I will respond. Pres Obama has had a difficult administration. He's accepted the monumental task of cleaning up and righting the economic free-wheeling that went on for at least a decade before he came into office. Such ingrained poor spending habits -- both on a Congressional and individual level -- cannot be rectified or addressed in four short years. Unlike the French, we Americans cannot have a revolution, raze the status quo and begin again.
jonwiley 9 months ago
@jonwiley not defending repubs, or any other politico. like I said, he's had time to deal with the issues of fraud, instead, they will allow statute of limitations to run out. He wasted time on healthcare, he did not defend his position, and now we have the highest cost possible, that only benefits insurance. wasted time, he should have been dealing with the fraud. but no, he is no different from all who have come before. this country protects rich banks and corp. people be damned

I'm a little disappointed that everyone is upset with the ending or was hoping to see her beheaded. I think the point of this movie is to show that she didn't deserve to be treated the way she was. It would be impossible to show all of the lies and rumors that were spread about her in this one movie. For e
