  • This is really a beautiful program and I suggest that it will not take members any time at all to get the hang of the better program. Its been easy for me.

  • I'm having doubts about this new plan. When i did it 3 years ago I lost 3-4 lbs per week.....EASY. This new plan has me losing .2 lbs per week! I don't buy this whole fruit = points + all the extra points u get. I went from 28 pts per day (old plan) to 49 per day. Something is not right. (and I walk 6 miles a day)

  • Just started the program yesterday. I was the only guy in the meeting which was kind of a downer, but I'm determined, so we'll see how it goes.

  • Hi!

I just signed up today, I've been having a hard time losing weight for some reason, 8 1/2 lbs in 3 months not to exciting so here I am starting WW Points Plus. I only have one question... How do you count down your allowance(treat) points? I get 29 points per day and 49 allowance points per week. Thanks for your help on this :0)

    Have a Beautiful Day!

  • Please tell us HOW to use this plan!!

  • I love this new program!

  • Started w/w in1998, became a lifetiime memeber yah! Then gained most of it back, but liking the new points plus, I get more points then before, so I stared back Jan.3 2011 and as of monday Jan.24.2011,weigh in...so far 9 pounds lost yah!

  • I tried WW last summer and couldn't make it on 18 points. I was hungry all the time. I'm looking forward to this new program!

  • This makes sense. I lost my weight in 2005 on the "Turn Around" program & have successfully maintained throughout numerous changes to WW. I remeber thinking that I'd gain it all back if I couldn't "Bank" my points anymore. LOL When WW makes a change it's always better & smarter. Please don't be afraid to try it! I just wish they could have devised some sort of slider...

  • I have lost 107 pounds since April 16 on Weight Watchers.

I will follow the old and new plan

  • It is just a little different ! So we have to look up the points for everything. Big deal. I am the worlds busiest person. Grad school, a family, work and I am learning it and loving the free fruit idea!

    nt

  • amazing... people starving all over the world... and we have weight-watchers.... live in parts of Africa, India, China, North Korea etc and you will definitely loose weight.... sad people.... god bless the hungry...

  • This program is so easy to follow. I love it! I was on the other program and I had no problem switching over. If you want to say on the other plan, you can choose to do that.

  • This new plan will bring me back to WW with new focus and a way to refocus on my diet rather running on autopilot and not losing like I did in the beginning. I love it and can't wait for it to come here to Canada.

  • We've been doing this in Australia for 3 weeks. Here it's call ProPoints, but it's the same program. I love that we now get to eat fruit for free. That's what the Leader on the video was getting at. You can now eat a piece of fruit for zero points which will keep you fuller for longer, as opposed to a biscuit or cake or a snack bar. It's about making better choices, which ultimately will help you lose your weight.

  • Weight watchers RULES THE UNIVERSE

  • Do we have to make this change in the middle of the holidays when it is tough enough to stay on track? How about fixing the darn website so we can get into our trackers faster than five minutes? And no - I am not on dial up. ggrrrrrrr

  • @debau1 I don't have that problem with getting on it takes seconds...maybe it's something else like your computer or your internet company

  • @BellKramer80 Canada should be getting it this week with the US, I think.

  • What is it? This says nothing...... oh, you have to join to find out the new features....hmmm.

  • hmmm...sounds good.

  • Give us an *option* PLEASE-- I've been having great success on the old plan and I do not have the time to learn your new system. I'll be canceling my membership and logging my points on my own -- and I suspect a lot of other busy people will be doing the same.

  • @cwalniuk I know change is a pain when you are used to the old plan like me but the new plan is geared towards healthier eating so it's worth making the time to learn it. Being healthy whilst losing weight is far better than being malnourished yet losing weight which I fear is what I am doing sometimes..

  • wow this is exciting!!!

  • Glad to see WW has finally gotten current and started focusing on more natural and healthy foods, something that other programs have been touting for several years. I'm stil concerned, though, that WW doesn't seen concerned about sugar. Something I eat can be loaded with sugar, but it's fine as long as the protein, carbs, fiber and fat give me a good points total.

  • @Jonious Actually they have taken into account sugar. There is actually no points finder (the slider) because they couldn't figure out a way to make one. They have taken into account sugar in the food lists they've put together. I know this because I was at the first meeting of the new program in my area.

  • @MusicalRaven Thanks. I have the new calculator, but was concerned that sugar isn't counted when it figures the points, nor is it mentioned in any of the materials and never has been. I just keep my sugar intake minimal on my own.

  • Free Fruit... what I would like to know is ... does this include grapes and raisins ?? and the reason I ask is that they have a lot of sugar.

    Thank you.

  • @4snookums Grapes Yes. Raisins no.

  • This is coming at just the right time for me. I made lifetime in April 2008 and managed to stay at or below my goal weight up until just a few months ago. Life's ups and downs gave me an excuse to use food for comfort, and now I'm up about seven pounds. I can't wait to get to my meeting this week and hear more about this new program.

  • Now if only there were a way they could get people to quit thinking that cardio is the king and weight training, since it adds evil muscle weight, is evil.

  • I think it's great that they've added to the program in a way that will encourage more to think less about having a snack that is a treat (think 100 calorie pack of something) and more about a snack that is healthy.

  • As a Lifetimer - I've always made room for fruits over processed foods - IE a banana in my cereal in the morning - and I never snack further in the morning! I'm full. What he is describing really works. I've always added in the points, so I'm interested to see what they have to say about the points. I've lost 32lbs since April and am below goal - you can do it too! I can't wait to hear the details - I'll be at the meeting! :o)

  • Having recently rejoined WW, I am somewhat skeptical. I was losing weight under the points program and don't see the value in changing what was working. The issue of the banana is not program specific, but a matter of personal choice of the woman. I always saw the banana as a good thing because of the points. The education value has been there, it was a matter of just embracing it. I am not pleased that there is a change, but I will adapt...begrudgingly...as long as I continue to lose wt.

  • @KenAFP It's fantastic you're doing so well! As a member of WW for just over 4 years, I can attest to similar skepticism regarding a "new" approach to the program. When I was about 2 years into the program, they decided to change the points scale so the number of points a person was allowed took into account more factors, such as age, etc. It turned out I had to eat more than I had been...and I was hesitant...but I tried it, and it worked. Since, I've been at a 2 year plateau; and ready for this

  • @KenAFP Keep an open mind...I haven't been steered wrong yet! (By the way, I've 100 pounds gone with WW...and cannot wait to get rid of the rest with this overhaul.) Good luck! :o)

  • YAY!! As a Holistic Nutritionist, I am thrilled to see this. Weight Watchers has always made the most sense in portion control for weight loss, but since "everything" was "allowed" as long as you counted the point values, a lot of good nutritional education has always been missing. I love how the female character in this video states that eating the banana over a processed snack cake is exciting. Awesome. Great job, WW, you are really going somewhere with this one!!
