It is easy to confuse a horse's behind with your father? This really doesn't make sense, because it's not. What i get from this is simply that many cameras focus on the wrong thing instead of focusing on the face, and this camera is so much better because it doesn't make that type of mistakes. That's all.

I agree that there's a lot of misandry in the media, but I think we need to differentiate between ads that just use slapstick humor or comedic situations with characters that happen to be male, from the ones that portray women as superior in relation to weak, incompetent, buffoon-like men. It was about some scheme to award good driving: a couple are in a car, and the woman keeps suggesting, incorrectly that the man is driving badly "you're driving in the middle of the road" to which he replies "it's a one way street, you dummy".

Yeah, on any given night no matter what I am watching on TV the commercials somehow get male bashing making the guy look like a total idiot. It's the same on radio too. Actually I think it demonstrates a distinct difference between men and women. Men have built everything around us. i'm not sure what else to base it on. to go off the number of funny females you know in particular would be a gay thing to do. i live in new york, where the funniest of the funny go to thrive. i had a friend who worked in this industry, and was witness to how little women really contribute. dozens of improv groups, sketch comedy, television shows, personal experience, etc,. had next to no cunt representation.

Most spenders of money are women, so ad agencies have to target them, and they do this by playing to women's inferiority complex with men.
The women feels better about her sad existence by seeing men (her superiors) being portrayed as less than her, This feeds her ingrained hatred/resentment/jealousy of men, making her believe the product makes her feel good, when in fact it's seeing her superiors in a negative light that makes her feel good.
It's a pretty sad picture for women, it really is.

If you knew anything about controlling for statistics, you'd know that under equivilent aggregate comparisons that disregard familial distributions, women outearn men at around 117% That's in spite of men dominating workplace deaths at 96%, and occupying 24 of the 25 worst, most unpleasant, and most hazardous occupations by more than 95%. Actually studies indicate that more than 80% of the consumer dollars spent are by women. Advertisers direct their marketing towards what is successful. Like the way that hog-droppings "Oven Pride" commercial had a double in sales after they started bashing males. Let's intricately exploit their own presumptions a minute, and say that women are the majority purchasers based on an ad that bashes men. Hmmm, there's your dollar power. I agree that there's a lot of misandry in the media, but I think we need to differentiate between ads that just use slapstick humor or comedic situations with characters that happen to be male, from the ones that portray women as superior in relation to weak, incompetent, buffoon-like men. The latter are the ones I have a problem with, but there haven't been too many in this example. That doesn't mean, unfortunately, that they don't exist.

Oh c'mon! I'm aware of the media's tendency to demean men, but I honestly can't see much of it going on here. Most of these ads are just funny. They don't generalise the regular man as being stupid, but simply create oddball, humorous characters for comedic purposes, and some of those characters happen to be men. That doesn't make it misandric. People are delving far too deep into this. There's less misandry here than in a Dilbert comic.

Yeah, on any given night no matter what I am watching on TV the commercials somehow get male bashing making the guy look like a total idiot. It's the same on radio too. And its not just limited to Fedex or Canada. It is almost as bad in the United States. Though they are not so subtle in academia where they just come out and blame us for all the problems in the world, past and present. But it does get old and leaves you silently seething because you know you are viewed if you dare say anything.

Actually I think it demonstrates a distinct difference between men and women. Men have built everything around us. Society, government, nearly every invention, roads, buildings, the internet, you name it. As a result of all the things we've collectively done, we've got confidence oozing out of our skin. This confidence provides us with a great sense of humor about everything, including ourselves.

And you're dull witted for not realising that while words have a certain proper meaning, the context in which they're said can alter the proper meaning greatly.
If some celebrity went out and said "Black people are stupid" and then later on said to the media "no no, I wasn't making a blanket statement, I meant two or more black persons! Not all or many of them!" I'm sure no one would feel any differently about the situation.
I'm glad I'm acting like a woman, if you're the comparison.

I realize that you humans infer a meaning of your own volition. It happens all of the time because humans have an inability to conceptualize additional meanings of a word or phrase. Humans tend toward singular meanings often based upon cliches. These nice little nitches you have formed, enable you to believe in your own petty constructs, and ignore the reality around you. So when you interpret something other than what was said, you are comforted that your world view is untainted.

All my life I have heard "A woman can do anything, she can become anything she wishes. Women are strong and smart and beautiful. As a woman you can be succesful at anything you put your heart and mind towards, and if you aren't, it's because it was a man's fault...." Never have I heard the opposite. I feel so tired.

I don't see how the first commercial is sexist. It says that a dad is NOT a horse's behind and then depicts the REAL dad, a normal father who's happily posing with his kids. Is anyone seriously offended by that? Neither do i see anything wrong with any of the Fedex ads...

No, again, this ad is saying a dad is N-O-T like a horse's behind. I am not brain dead, i am interpreting what i see objectively. Try it too. I don't want to be rude, but your conclusion just doesn't seem logical to me.
And actually, no, if the dad in this commercial was replaced by a mom, i would not consider it sexist.
