The professor is wrong in his assertion and so is the one, who titled this video. The Quran and Mohammad refere to Jews and Christians by name. Hence Muslims say that previous prophets were Muslims in principal & not necessarily by name. i.e. They preached the oneness of G-d and application of his commandments. Muslim are required to believe in all G-d's Prophets: Adam, Abraham, Noah, Ishmael, Isaac, Jacob, Moses, Jesus and the last and final one Mohammad peace be upon them all.

Yes they are, why? It's Ishmael who was the first born of Abraham, but because he was a bastard child he was cursed. Ismael is considered the Father of islam, while Jacob is the Father of Israel. The blessing God promised was granted to Jacob (Israel). Ishmael was cursed.
