  • Y r people tripping!?! Lol I mean Asian people r the most who has monolid eyes. And who cares if she ain't got mono lid or says Asian! It's the freaked truth! Most Asian got mono lids! Y can't people just face the facts! I no truth hurts but shit it's just a makeup tutorial get over ur selves. If u don't like it don't watch it! Also there r other gurus on YT that have mono lids that do mono lid tutorials so people quite being bitches for no reason n move on.

  • u've got to be kidding me..

the only reason shes getting bashed is because shes not asian

ive seen so many videos by these girls that jus say "ASIAN EYES" but no one gives them shit cause they're asian.

if an african person says "nigger" people are perfectly fine with it, but when a white person says it, he gets his ass kicked..

and you really cant deny that a great majority asian descent have monolids.. and even if they do have a fold, they probably don't have a socket line, that's for sure...

  • I'm Asian and monolidded, and I found this helpful. Wish I'd seen this video earlier, I learned most of this through trial and error.

  • i really hoped for a tutorial with a real monolid.but good vid! :D

  • dude its not racist. im asian and i have monolids. it's just more likely that an asian would have monolids. if this video was called "epicanthic fold" not very many people would click on it because they don't know what that means

  • there was no racism intended in this video. it's a video about makeup for god's sake. but for the person who spoke of "Whitening creams for Blacks and Brown?", there is no "black" nor "brown" race. THAT stereotype is based on a label meant to identify the color of on's skin.

  • i dont understand how this tutorial is going to help me.....bc ur just applying eyeshadow to your own face. u don't have monolids, so.....yea not much help other than knowing that green and pink can look nice together

  • I agree with her that single/monolid happens more on Asians. I am asian and I have monolid, but i dont think she's racist. :)

  • Let's be honest, if this video title was named anything else, it would've been shitless help. The fact that the title is listed under Asian eyes, it's more direct in other words, it's straight to the point. I don't want to spend time on YouTube looking for a video that's not straight to the point. Why do people feel the need to take it so seriously? if she was racist, trust me you'll hear a lot worse. Get over it! and be appreciative that someone is making videos for all kinds.

  • Ya'll need to calm down. She didn't mean anything racist. Goodness gracious.

  • To all the people that are saying that this is "stereotypical":

-Yeah, not all Asians have the "Epicanthic Fold" and they arent they only ones that do.

-Not many people know that that is what it is called, and they probably arent going to Search for that.

-& Most Gurus probably won't even think about it to call it that, and like I stated up there, most wont even search for it. Even if it is stereotypical, think about the searching facts and maybe, yeah she could've put a disclaimer SHEDIDNT!

  • Ok, really. Im black, hispanic, and asian. And I have monolid eyes. WHO CARES IF IT SAYS ASIAN IN THE TITLE???!!!! Anyone asian or with asian in them would easily and without offence say, "yeah, I have monolids" and then probably laugh, becuz really! We embrace who and what we are, and we can state it without issues. Redheaded white ppl usually have freckles, Black ppl often have full lips and curly hair, AND ASIAN GENERALLY HAVE MONOLIDS!!! LOL. So lets get over ourselves, really.

  • Yay Asian support! (;

Wasn't offended at all by this vid...people who were need to take some pepto bismo. ^_*

  • For your eye shapes tutorials, I think it would have been helpful if you used models with the specified eye shapes so it is easier for people to see the intended effect of the look. Not that these looks can't work on other eye shapes too, but it would help with the visualization a bit. just a suggestion :) thanks and nice job

  • I'm one of the Asians who weren't offended too. Please make a driving tutorial for BAD DIVERS/ASIANS since WE ALL KNOW Asians can't drive!!! Hurry up please, it's a matter of life and death! I might be crashing into you before you know it!

  • The woman in this video basically perpetuated stereotypes. Asians are not the only ones with "monolids" nor do they all have monolids. A lot of Asian YT gurus don't even have "monolids". Matter of fact, I've met many Hispanics and Native Americans who have monolids and even Blacks. This video also fails because you yourself do not even have MONOLIDS. What's next? Whitening creams for Blacks and Brown? Just because you didn't mean to be racist or ignorant, doesn't mean you didn't come off as one.

  • @TheHispanicFilipino I don't think it's racist or perpetuating stereotypes - which is what she said. I found it really helpful as a makeup artist to beautify "non-western" shaped eyes.

  • I'm Asian and I'm not offended. In fact, it makes it easier to find tutorials designed for "Asian" or "monolid" eyes, which is what I'd call mine since I'm not oriented with the scientific term "Epicanthic fold." I do search using the terms "Asian" and if what I find fits, then good. If not, then move on to the next tutorial. If not for the comments here, I wouldn't have known about the Epicanthic Fold term. Seriously, people... :P To Marlena, you're very pretty. You inspire me to lose weight :)

  • Why would you talk about asian i feel so pissed right now!!

    Nuhaha jk.(: goood tutorial!

  • haha im asian and im not offended at all. I love this video and its nice that she want to help people besides her normal eyeshape

  • @Clairtist92 Totally agree with you!

    Loosen up, people !

  • Hooded eyes are Beautiful!

  • but you dont have monolids

  • Thank you! Finally a look for monolids that isn't all black or brown!!!!! :)

  • Comment removed

  • i love my monolids!

  • I'm asian. And i'm totalllyyyyyyyyyyyy racist towards everyone!!! Black, white, asian, hillbillys, gingers, russians, ALL TYPES. Guys get over it.. everyone is a little racist and THIS is by far NOT racist!!!!!!!!!! :'D Great vd!!!!!!!!

  • @iHuggableDisaster

Nice way of failing seeing that Hilbillys, gingers, and Russians are not Races!! Epic fail!

  • I"m not offended your not the only one with that title...beautiful

  • I'm Asian and I'm not offended either. I think this look is very pretty, but it would be more helpful if you did this look on a mono lid person.

  • I like your vid!!! I'm Asian and I am in no way offended!!! Thanks you for the tips because my eyes are on the small side and it is hard to achieve some looks because of that.

  • I'm white and I have monolids. My crease is litterally rite underneath my eyebrow.

  • guys guys. calm down. im asian, i dont care. its cause some people dont get the term monolid and they get "asian" so its easier to put that in.

  • thanks for the video..dont worry asians are openminded..

hope to see more videos giving us idea >>

    more power and godbless :*

    mua :)) !!

  • You blink a lot. I'm not offended. I'm asian. lol

  • how can people dislike this video? Marlena is amazing and beautiful!

  • so who here is insecure with themselves.????? sounds like all these stupid negative posts are.!!! There was nothing to her video cept giving some help and advice to those who want it..And as for the illegal immigrant/mexicans,PLEASE HAHAHA THEY SHOULD GET OUT... Rasist or not..

  • This is not a racist video, you weirdos!!! If Michelle Phan or KoreanBbye2 would have said; "This look would be great with Asian eyes because the majority of us have a monolid", nobody would have batted an eyelash. Ya'll are ridiculous. She is a gifted makeup artist with a great heart. All the people making the "she's ignorant" comments need to get real.

  • I Have One Monolid & The Other Is Perfectly Normal.. So Do I Need Like Some Kinda Eyelid Surgery To Fix That? :( :(

  • Thanks Marlena for the vid!! I have droopy eyelids and your video really helped me see how I can do things differently.

  • HAHAHA funny video.

I'll be expect the next video to be called "Against Illegal Immigrants/Mexicans".

    or Jail Overcrowding/African-Americans

and finally Down with Dog Eaters/Asians

Remember people, do not be offended! There's no racist connotation behind it because it's all true!

  • BTW

This video is pointless because 1) She does not have monolids and 2) Also just adding to her ignorant title, she is not Asian therefore does not have monolids. Thus a person with monolids would find this video useless.

Might as well show how to use Whitening skin products in the next video. Then surgery to get double eyelids! lol

  • @SkillzDatKillz187 i totally agree!

  • A better example of how this title is ignorant and perpetuating a stereotype is if I made a video entitled:

    Diet Tips for Fat People/Americans

Straitening here for Curly Hair/Black People

Ass reduction for Big Asses/Latinas & Blacks

    Penis enlargement for Less-endowed/Asians

    Penis decrease for Well-endowed/Blacks

    Driving Lessons for Bad Drivers/Asians

Hey Hey! We know that all those people don't necessarily fit those stereotypes, but there are certainly people who do! and I'm not offended! lol

  • Technically speaking, a slash can represent the joint between two different concepts, or a slash can represent "or", so if people are going to get as picky as they have over the title, then they should realize that the title "Makeup For Monolid/Asian Eyes" is not saying they're synonymous, the title is saying the two ideas are commonly joined. And anthropologically speaking, they are. Not all Asians have monolids, and the title is not saying that they do. Marlena, what a beautiful makeup look <3

  • I'm an asian. I have perfectly double eyelids. I happen to be a malay. Sure, Indians, Malays, Indonesians, philipinos, etc, etc are all asians. Not all of them have epicanthic folds. I mean I've never seen an indian with those kind of eyes. But you know what? I didn't feel anything reading the title. I didn't even realise that she was being so called ignorant until I read the comments. Relax people, if u hv nothing nice or constructive thing to say, then don't say anything at all

  • Lol people get offended too much nowadays

  • I love that your helping people with smaller eyes and lids, but next time can you do it on someone that actually has small eyes and lids? This way we can really see how its supposed to look as opposed to your big, beautiful eyes :)

  • the thing is i have a monolide meaning if i just put the shadows on like you marlena it wont work it'll look weird since i have nno crease

  • Guys just back off, whether the title was "ignorant" or not , she didnt do intentionally so no need to call her anything. what shes saying is shes doing makeup for different eye shapes.

  • @oxjennie25xo When someone is ignorant, they don't necessarily have to do it intentionally. That's the not the point.

If she's saying she's doing makeup for different eye shapes, she could have easily stated that instead of calling out a whole race of people.

  • Comment removed

  • I don't think she's racist, but labeling this video as "Asian eyes" is ignorant and stereotyping. The actual term to describe eyes with no crease or the appearance of a single eyelid is known as "Epicanthic Fold". Asians are not the only ones who have it, nor do all Asians have it. I think what people are saying is that by using the label of "Asian" eyes you're perpetuating a stereotype. It be like labeling a video tutorial for "African Noses/Lips/Hair" when it could be just big and curly lol

  • @WhiteGuysAsianGirls lol, For me at least, the problem with trying to be too politically correct by saying things like "Makeup For "Big Noses" or "Small Eyes"" is that I find that different people have different standards as to what are really considered "big" or "small" features. I'm Asian and I wasn't at all offended by the title of this work. Also, if she titled this "Makeup For Epicanthic Folds", I'm pretty sure not everyone would know what she was talking about! :P

  • @kiwifruteful That's a dumb excuse. Pretty sure people can easily google to find what "Epicanthic folds" are, just like people can easily google this video. I did. Again, by stating Asian eyes it's perpetuating a stereotype. It's more than just being politically correct ;P

Again, I dare this woman post a video about Black people and big lips or nose and see what type of reaction she gets. It won't be pretty :P

  • @kiwifruteful Your post does not make any sense.

  • @WhiteGuysAsianGirls I am Asian and I personally don't think it's ignorant of her to call his video "Asian Eyes". She did say it's for monolids and since the majority of asians have monolids I don't see how it's wrong to include that in. Besides, when I youtube or google for makeup tips, that's exactly what i type in the search box, "makeup for asian eyes." This definitely help speed up my search and direct me to exactly what i'm looking for instead of combing through a million videos.

  • @leisterz

Where are your statistics to backup your generalized statement that majority of "Asians" have monolids?

  • @ImSoPinoyPride lol. dude. what's wrong with making a generalize statement? A generalized statement doesnt necessarily have to be wrong. Plus I see you're trying to be picky about what Asians I'm talking about hence the quotation marks. And another thing...statistics isn't the golden answer to everything. It's a better representation of something but can be erroneous as well. Sheesh. Learn to loosen up will ya?

  • @leisterz

Also keep on looking considering the fact THE WOMAN in this video doesn't even have "monolids". Plenty of the well-known female Asian makeup gurus also don't have MONOLIDS which also contradicts your statement that the MAJORITY OF ASIANS have it when it fact when the ASIANS makeup Gurus on Youtube don't.

  • and since you're oh-so-statistical, i find it interesting you use Asian makeup gurus on youtube, and not just any Asian ones, but well-known ones as a representation of what the majority of Asians are and should be to counter my generalized statement. I mean, aren't you going to find a more valid and solid counter argument if you're that kind of nit-picky person? lol

  • @leisterz that's nice and all, but where's your evidence to back up your statement? LOL because you're contradicting yourself regardless. A generalized statement =/= fact. Not only did you generalize, but you stereotyped. That's like me saying most Latinos are brown which is not true at all or in general, most of them are illegal and can't speak English. Can you see the difference now? lol

  • @BoriquenBeast ahhh i see. one question, are you Asian?

  • @WhiteGuysAsianGirls Honestly, I really don't think that is stereotyping. In fact, what she's doing is helpful and I doubt that many Asians actually find this offensive. (including myself)

  • @xknczcrazyx

Honestly, I really think it is stereotyping. Does it need to be extremely obvious for you to understand the difference? You probably wouldn't even find it stereotyping either if she made a video stating "ASIAN SMALL DICKS" since of course many people think that too right? LMAO!

  • @xknczcrazyx or how about a tutorial for Asian DRIVERS since everyone knows Asians can't DRIVE and I doubt many Asians would be offended by that too! hahaha

  • @WhiteGuysAsianGirls I was able to find this video because I searched "asian eyes" it's just descriptive and the most effective way to get the message across to my typical asian-eyed self. The technical term is not a common term and would not be a good for searching.

  • @WhiteGuysAsianGirls she just named it asian eyes cause no one prob knows what the heck monolid means.. js.

and im not racism , im asian too hah

  • @HanGookPOWER true!

i think people need to chill a bit.

  • I love this look but... I wish you had done the look on someone with Asian eyes so we could see how it looks on a person with Asian eyes.

  • My eyes are so wide like doll eyes I look like a baby lawl :P I wish I had almond eyes their so sexy I'll always look like a kid/(

  • this isn't racist - psssshhh im chinese! :DDDDD

  • Thanks for covering this! I've just recently become more comfortable playing with eyeshadow at all, and most tutorials show women with the more common deepset eyes. Since I have Asian eyes, I couldn't figure out for a long time how to maximize what I have without getting the raccoon/cross-eyed/ zombie look! It helps to see colors other than black/brown tested out. Can't wait to try green.

  • Faaaar out - I like her - But effs me off how there are so many ignorant people how still think all asians have monolids........IM AN ASIAN WITH DOUBLE EYELIDS - AND NOT WHITE AT ALL- LET MY KIND BE REPRESENTED

  • Thank you for this tutorial! Many Asian girls tend to use colors that are too dark. I love dark grey and black eyeshadow, but I think if not appropriate applied, it tends to close in the eyes. I am half Korean and half Irish and don't know whether to use these techniques or those for the smaller eyes. I don't have a monolid, but definitely have typical Asian almond-shaped eyes. Please let me know what you think! Thanks. I love watching you. Your face is the perfect palate!

  • (Top25)Countries by Number of Plastic Surgery

  • I like how she uses shapes to descrbe the makeup. REALLY helpful!

  • wow u have great tutorials!! keep it up! totally following u!

  • You have pretty eyes! Thanks for the video. Could you make a video for a more natural look for asian eyes? Thanks

  • Not all asians hav monolids i hav double eyelids n im asian (btw i was born with double eyelids)

  • @Aznfairy96 you are lucky :)

  • How do you balance the makeup with your hair?

  • How to make non asians look asians with only make up?

  • I have a monolid, although i would love to have a crease :S

  • @bluebell707 yeah i have the same thing

  • you are amazing) i will try it on my almond eyes! that's really what i was looking for)

  • this helps a lot but i wish you would show me how to do a nice black smokey eye for asians...

  • wow... people will make ANYTHING racist... being an asian girl, i know the obsession asians have with creating a crease... i don't have the monolid, but goodness! i know girls who tried glue, tape, surgery, etc to create the double lid. it's great that she's creating this tutorial because there really isn't anything out there for these eyes! whether it works for you or not, just don't make a good intention into something it's not. =)

  • yasians don't have creases LOL

their eyelids don't sink in like white people's does ,

you should get an actual asian with monolids and try out your look

  • it would be better to not generalize that all asians have monolids. just as not all caucasians have big noses or look prematurely old for their ages.

  • do u even know how asian eyes look like? this doesnt work at all

  • No offense but I don't think it does us any god for you to do a tutorial for monolid eyes when you don't have them. This look just darkens and closes up the eye shape to make it look even smaller, not more round or contoured.

  • I think it would be better to embrace monolids and create a look the look good on monolids instead of trying to hide it by trying to round out the eye ect ect.

  • @BetseyBaby96 this is the same as saying...people should embrace their whiteness vs getting tanned because you're unhappy w/ your skin color, and this would also be the same as saying embrace your brunette hair because you'll never be a true blond even though your blonde is from a box.

  • @iviewutoob Not at all but nice try. Im saying if your creating a look for monolids, create a look that looks good on monolids not trying to cover it up cause I personally think monolids are beautiful.

Adding on to what your saying it's not at all like saying "mbrace your brunette hair because you'll never be a true blond even though your blonde is from a box"

Its like saying if im going to do a hair tutorial for brunnettes Im not going to try to make it look like they are actually blonde!

  • I like all the ppl bitching about how they'll never be able to figure this out because she doesn't have monolids, even though obviously there are people out that have IQ's higher than their ages, like xteeener, a monolided girl who obviously understood this process, and did her own version of it. If she can figure it out, why can't you?

  • @AyanaLinval xteeener does not have monolids:)

just thought I should mention thats all:)

    she obviously has double eyelids:)

  • @yentl1023 Hmmm, I wonder which video you were watching, because in her contouring vid, and the one where she did this look she had monolids. Maybe she used some glue in the one you watched, because in the one I watched she was talking about her monolids. Just sayin' lol.

  • @AyanaLinval hey I have been watching her videos for a long time(2 years-ish), and the video that you have mentioned was the one where she tried to help out girls who have mono lids in which she provided a makeup which suited both types, btw she never uses glue because she doesnt have to lol. I mean why would someone who has double eye lids need to do something like that?! I suggest you go watch more of her videos before commenting.

  • Wow you guys are dumb, she NEVER said ALL asian people have monolids, she said that it's a look that would look good on someone who does. Is she not allowed to make a tutorial for someone with monolids because she's not Asian? Who's being racist? Not her. Though I guess with your logic Asian makeup artists aren't allowed to do looks for people with western features? No? What hypocrites you are. I can easily see this being amazing on someone with monolids. Thank you for having eth. sensitivity

  • Not helpful. Sorry. Good try

  • it's really hard to see how this might work since it's not on someone with monolids. :S i have no idea how to apply this on my eyes.

  • I thought there was going to be an Asian eye involved (i.e. Monolid, double hidden eyelid, double lid)....I applaud you trying to reach to us, the Asian viewers...but this wasn't all that helpful at all...:( Nice try though.

  • Wtf, if you're gonna do a monolid makeup tutorial, get someone who actually has MONOLIDS. because how the fuck is this supposed to help us if you have double lids? NICE.

    FAIL.

  • @abcatherine321

Not her fault you're too dumb to figure it out. I guess there are flocks of double lidded ppl that will never be able to figure out how to do looks that mono lidded makeup artists show.... oh wait, no there isn't. The only fail here is yours sweety.

  • Comment removed

  • This is completely useless without an Asian/Monolid model to put makeup on.

  • What does monolid means? No eyelids?

  • @BabyGmokz no it means that you don't have a very defined crease that's all

  • i dk why ppl are getting so fed up w/ this whole asian monolid thing...

honestly it's not, i'm asian, and i don't find it offensive at all, especially b/c she stated at the beginning of the video that it's not suppose to be offensive...so ppl get over it & just focus on the makeup!

  • Plus she wrote monolid/Asian eye, she's not saying its the same!

  • @ManiSparks jeez calm down!! Some people don't know what a monolid is but a lot of Asians have monolids so people will understand!! Plus some people do genuinely know it as an Asian eye, it even comes up in the search box

  • UUUHHH, I AINT ASIAN, AND I HAVE MONOLIDS.

    THANKS VERY MUCH

I HATE PEOPLE WHO STERIOTYPE. A SHAPE, A COLOR OR A SIZE TO A CERTAIN ETHNICITY/BACKGROUND.

    >:[

  • @ManiSparks She said Asian SLASH Monolid eyes. It could be either. Calm down.

  • The Makeup Look Looks Great On You, But Not Sure If The Method Works For People With Monolids.

  • Believe me, she knows what she's talking about. I tried it and it works! Fabulous!

    Thanks!

  • I'm Asian. I have monolids. This is the same makeup look I've been doing for years, and I want to thank you for putting this tutorial up because it's different than other monolid tutorials I've been seeing on youtube. I get criticized for my look every now and again but because you're a professional, I feel a lot better about my choices!

  • i luv asian eyes, Jah's master design

  • why does the race issue have to be thrown into the mix..........this is makeup people, get a grip, sheesh......she's just offering some tips, I thought it was very helpful

  • GUYS IM ASIAN. and she's NOT being "stereotypical" or "racist" or any of those other words being tossed around here.

Face it most of us small eyes. She's simply saying that this is a look for small eyes with little or no eyelids which or regularly associated with asians. Although I do wish it was used with a monolid model. For the record I have double lids, but then again many people think I'm hispanic.

  • @caseygirl23675 Whether she meant it to be not be offensive or non-racist, it is stereotyping simply because not all Asians have it. Educate yourself...Asia is not all about Chinese, Japanese, and Koreans. There are plenty of SE and South Asians and Asians from all over that do not have epicanthic folds...thus by using the label "Asian eyes" it's perpetuating that all Asians have those eyes.

Like someone mentioned above, it's like saying African noses, lips, and hair. It's stereotyping.

  • Comment removed

  • When she says she isn't going to be applying liner to her water line to keep her eyes look open makes her sound racist...s she is like implying something...

  • can you demonstrate this look on a model with monolids?

  • just so you know, not all asians have monolids

  • @scintillaglitz94 thank you! maybe she could say "asians with monolids", besides i have seen eurasian people with monolids too. the world is too globalised to stereotype anymore.

but thank you makeup geek, you are sensitive enough to care, great job anyway. =) keep it up!

  • @scintillaglitz94 I'm pretty sure she's aware. Thanks for enlightening us with your garbage.

  • you guys should be less mean about what you say. i'm sure she just didn't think about it beforehand in order to get the best results for those with monolids. honest mistake. just stop being so judgemental, it makes you an ugly person, regardless on what you use to cover the outside

  • One thing that I discovered is an asset for girls with monolids is urban decay primer potion!! Without that layer of primer your eyeshadows will crease almost immediately!!

  • I hate my eyelids, they are so tiny, the crease is really close to the lashline so whenever I use eyeshadow it gets all messed up. My sister is lucky, she has big eyes with lots of eyelid and she can do really cool eye makeup. Jealous. >.<

  • Comment removed

  • Hello :) OK, so I am Asian, Filipino to be exact. I have oval shaped eyes, and a double lid, and somewhat round eyes. I was wondering if there are any specific ways for me to really make my eyes pop and enhance the roundness of my eyes? Please and thank you ^_^

  • Comment removed

  • I am Asian and I have really big eyes and I have double eyelids. And no I didn't have plastic surgery, cause that would be really rare.

  • I'm curious as to how this white heifer didn't think she was not going to get any shit from anybody for posting a "this how to make your asian eyes less asian-y" (3:55) and if she wanted to do a look for the Asian community she should have gotten an Asian model...would have been better to look at that this mess.

  • i have hooded eyes and im asian o.o

  • omg that is how i did my makeup today and i when i saw this vid i was like wow i was doing it right lol and i have asian eyes with a crease that is pretty close to the lashline

  • I have monolid eyes and im mexican and i have trouble doin my eyeshadow, and my eyeliner always smears all ovet my eyelid even if i use primer and base! Wish i had a crease to do eyeshadow

  • I have monolids and I was open minded by this video so I tried to re-create it on myself but it really didn't flatter me... maybe ill try it again Im sure it's because my blending was not up to par back then lol

  • Please help. I do have the same problem as emmaluv01. It's hard for me to apply eyeshadow on it. Please do a tutorial about that for those who have the same problem like us. Thank you.

  • WhyteBoi sez:

    Monolids make Azn girls

    extra sexy. } °)

  • asian eyes are hooded eyes...nice video though.

  • asian eyes are hooded eyes

  • Not all of Asian have mono eyelids..east Asian thou

  • i lke it !!!!!!!!!!!

  • You make it sound like it's a 'bad thing' to have monolid or 'asian' eyes. And whats with 3:55 ? This should be called "If you have monolid or 'asian' eyes, this is how I would try to make it look like you don't."

  • Hi I'm emma and i love your videos for me my eyes are weird.. My left eye has double eyelids and my right eye has mono eyelids so it's very hard to put on eyeliner my right one when u stay normal the skin comes and cover the lid And i hate that! do you have any tips for me or anything to help me?? Thanks! P.S hope you get this message because i really need help!! And i'm asian
  • this look would not look good on monolids, i would no i have monolids. saying . asian eyes are very offensive many asian frnds i have, there eyes are huge. wats roung with slanted eyes? why does ur eyes need to be round? my eyes arent small only wen i smile it gets rly small and thats true for most asians, but dont care cuz everyone loves how it does that. oo white people nose oo

  • @watchm3rawr you're being too defensive and taking it the wrong way. you are also being the racist yourself by making you seem like a superior asian because you have big eyes. It sounds as though small eyes are a big thing according to you so you're very hypocritical.

Especially your last comment because you said a generalized thing about white people.

  • @AreYouDaft09 its not being defensive its stating the fact, oviously ur getting defensive for? what? LOL is it ur video? i mean oviously u wouldnt understand ur not asian. ur taking a nationality and saying that the whole nationality has that feature, thats the part i take offensive.

  • @watchm3rawr IMO the whole issue of racism is taken way too far. White people get accused for being racist if they say anything even if an Asian or an African American said the equivalent. I hear Asians say 'asian eyes' themselves very often to describe themselves or 'I have typical asian lashes' etc, yet they are not labelled as racists to their own race. It's like if a black person said 'nigger' its ok, but if a white guy said it, he'd get bashed.

  • @watchm3rawr What I'm saying is that you need to do is consider the context of things. It's not that hard to tell if something said was intended to offend. I don't blame you since society is plagued with racism and its a very sad thing, but you shouldn't get too paranoid about it. Just sit back and relax, I doubt this girl's being racist

  • @AreYouDaft09 i oviously know shes not being racist, im letting her know she shouldnt be using the word " asian eyes " because it can be offensive for some people; like me.

  • @AreYouDaft09 also she states that "asian eyes" should change the shape of thier eye, seems pretty offensive but i know she didnt mean for it but she should rethink what she says

  • @saddlerackcowgirl: I'm asian, I have asian eyes, & guess what..it worked so just because she doesn't have asian eyes doesn't mean it doesn't work

To everyone who's like isoblah: You damn well know what she meant. She said "Monolid Eyes OR Asian Eyes"...obviously its for all the n00bs out there who doesn't know WTF Monolid Eyes are. So quit it with the Political Correctness BS.

  • I'm Asian and this is wierd...my left eye, u can c the lid but on my right you CAN'T. Both of my eyes r different and i think it's noticeable. Am I the only one? I mean my eyes the way the lids are,are different.

  • @GabiKabataan ...OMG!!!!!!...rofl it's weird this is jsut a random video i'm watching and for some reason your comment just popped up to me for some reason..and we have the same thing!!..that's weird...o_O...um..well, my left eye is double eyelided..o.o..and my right eye is monolid...ahhhhYAY i'm not the only one..ahha

  • I think it would be nice if we can stop picking on her.

When she says monolid/Asian eyes, it is only because the only clients she has with monolid eyes are Asians.

I myself am an Asian with large eyes and double-eyelids but that does not mean that what she said isn't true.

She simply made this video with good intentions to help those Asians who actually DO have monolid eyes. :)

So we should try to appreciate that more.

    Thanks MakeupGeek! :D
